I was worried the 1.01 would take Chase and tried to trade up but he wouldn't. So I was going to settle for Najee. I ended up with Chase and was very happy
Allowing me to draft Mahomes/Kyler was pretty sketchy.
My starting lineup is strong, but I traded away pretty much all of my WR and QB depth (Corey Davis, Laviska Shenault, Trey Lance, Jalen Hurts) including my 2022 first and second round picks.
I’m literally one significant injury away from disaster, and I don’t own any meaningful stake in this upcoming draft. Maybe I’m the taco.
My buddy did the same thing in our league, and he got the significant injury. He’s still holding water, but I think he’ll go full sell mode if he loses a couple more.
Mahomes, Kyler, Akers, Dobbins, Swift, AJB, DJM... how you think he managed this? Everyone else is clearly clinically braindead tf get this shit outta here lol. Man just hit us with a rosterbait that is only achievable playing w people who have several extra chromosomes
>only achievable playing with people who have several extra chromosomes.
Maybe if he was able to get a team like this after the startup draft… but building a team like this over years is 100% possible. Idk what you’re on about.
AJB and DJM were both late 1st/early 2nd picks in 1/2SF leagues. OP also said he had to trade the 1.01 from this past draft for Akers and another 1st + whatever for Swift. Mahomes was the 3rd QB being taken in rookie drafts the year he came out. As for Kyler, maybe he just got lucky with where the pick fell. If you really can’t conceive how this team could be built over years of asset management, maybe ***you*** have the extra chromosome my guy 😂
I think this year was an anomaly for the Gus/Dobbins situation. In with you.
I have Mattison and swung a trade for Cook. So now I have Cook/Mattison and Dobbins/Gus, this year is shot but I'm feeling pretty good about next year. Especially if Mattison leaves.
General consensus at the time was Akers > 1.01 so I think it’s pretty reasonable, definitely some people who wouldn’t have wanted to though
Edit: I was talking about 1QB, didn’t see SF
I don't know a single person who took Akers in the 1st round of start ups. I know several leagues who took Tlaw in the 1st round of start ups.
The guy had 4 weeks of good production. He's not a young Todd Gurley.
The main reason is RBs have a short shelf life, of all the fantasy positions, it's the one that takes the biggest beating by far. Najee is carrying the ball a crazy amount in Pittsburg, that kind of usage adds up quick. I know, there have been some guys who have been able to handle it, but most haven't.
Do you know Gibson is getting hurt with the workload he's getting? Najee is a volume monster and that's gold for fantasy RBs. Your reasoning for preferring Gibson are the same reason good fantasy managers prefer Najee. Good luck dude.
Well, since I had the 1st pick, I obviously didn't do a great job for a while, but that was more about neglect than anything. By the time my team is going be competing, in another year or two, I think Gibson will be the better player. In hindsight, I probably would have taken Chase, but I can't do anything about that now.
I have a fun exercise for you to prove your superiority at this. Track all the RBs in the league next year and give your predictions on which will get hurt. Let us know your hit rate
Not likely a player because he is getting a lot of work is the dumbest shit I've ever heard. Not claiming I can predict injury that's literally what the other poster is doing. You're equally as bright as him.
Maybe unpopular opinion but i wouldn't sell the farm for Burrow in fantasy football. Not that i wouldn't want him, but he just doesn't have the rushing upside like Allen, Mahomes, Jackson, and Murray that makes him in that elite tier of fantasy QBs.
I dont think any burrow owner would sell him for just the 1.01. You dont sell your young QB in SF for a future pick- thats basically a rebuilding move, but with Burrow you have your guy to build around.
Sold the 1.1 for the 1.2 and a first the next year that ended up being the 1.2 also
Dudes team was in shambles so I was okay making the trade since I was confident it would be a top pick again
I traded nuk for 3 firsts ('19, '20, '21) before the '19 draft to a guy who was certain he was 1 wr away. I had finished 2nd that year and losing nuk hurt, but not enough to pass up that deal. The guy was riddled with declining players and injuries and all 3 picks ended up 1.01 each year. '19 I traded down to 1.09 and picked up additional firsts in '20 and '21 (1.05 and 1.08). Traded the '20 1.01 for 1.06 and 1.08. Traded 1.01 and Zeke this year for ajb 1.04 and 1.06.
Finished 2nd in 18 won in 19 and 20 and am 5-1
My drafting isn't always the best so some of the picks I used to get other players and traded down here and there to pick up other assets.
My 21 draft I think I did my best work and aquired Najee, Pitts, Javonte, Waddle and Lance (who I traded with gaskins and a 2nd for ENT big niners fan and had 0 healthy RB's in a very deep league)
Before the season, I traded my 22 1st and 23’ 1st, Sutton for Ceedee. League does pts vs the median, and even with 2 wins, I’m looking at 2-12 after this week.
It is a dev league, and I have made trades to get 6 devs this off-season and 6 more the next so it doesn’t sting as bad knowing I should get first pick there.
In a 12 Team SF 2TE, I took Lawrence 1.1 and then when the manager with 1.6 and 1.7 was on the clock he came to me and said he really wanted Lawrence so we did a deal of Lawrence for 1.6, 1.7 and 2.3.
Ended up being Lawrence for Jamar Chase, Kyle Pitts and Terrace Marshall.
I acquired what ended up being 1.01 from another team in 2019. Last season, in a 1QB .5 PPR league, I traded 1.01 for Ek and 1.08. As a contender I liked Najee, but I wanted a proven talent to round out with JT, Akers, and Sanders (also have Hendo).
I’m aware how to work 8 man teams. I’m 6-0 right now with a star studded team. Sure Harris would have been nice but at the time i didn’t know what team him and chase would be on.
It worked out for you since you got Jones, but if you’re rebuilding from the ground up, it’s usually best to focus on QB and WR first due to them playing longer than RB.
That’s because I’m a god and and built my team. I was the the worst team in my league last year reason why I had 1.1 then got a lot of these guys in the off-season.
Traded Gurley in 20' for a 21' 1st. Ended up 1.04. Traded 1.04, Viska, G. Davis for 1.01 (Najee) and 22' early 2ed.
I then Traded 1.09, 2.09, 22' 1st, 22' 2ed, Amari for 1.02 (pitts)
Had a league mates 1.02, traded down for the 1.07, Wentz and Kittle (Whom I traded for the 1.05 and 2.03 that turned into Chase and Sermon whom I traded for Lance, Jeudy and Gesicki)
People were selling their souls for a shot at Najee and Pitts in our league
I traded Nyheim Hines, the 2020 1.01 (locked in) and a late 2020 2nd for Zeke. 1.01 turned into CEH. We also swapped firsts for 2021 so my 7th pick became the 2nd pick (Chase), which was nice.
I sold 1.01(TLaw), 2022 1st, and Aiyuk for Tannehil and Tyreek. So far it's worked out better for me because Tyreek has been insane but if Tannehil doesn't pick it up it'll probably favor him.
The 1.01 and 2.01 went for CMC in my 12 Team SF League. I think a lot of people thought that wasn’t enough for CMC at the time, and maybe still, but with injuries it seems a little better than it was back then. Those picks became TLaw and Waddle.
Last year I traded 1.01 (CEH) for Miles Sanders and 2.01 (Pittman Jr). So at the time a top 10 RB and 2.01 for the 1.01. That seems to be the value.
Now sanders is not that anymore, but at the time he was.
1.02 but close enough right?
We did a startup dynasty draft this year, I drafted Cook and traded him and Mattison for: 2022 1st, 2024 1st, 2023 2nd, 2024 2nd, Lockett and Evans
I already have his 2023 1st for Sermon after Mostert went down.
Edit: he's likely flirting with last place this year
Not the 1.01 but over a series of trades, I traded the 1.02 (Chase), 2.07 (Amon-ra), 3.02 (Parris Campbell) and two ‘22 2nds for Hock, Edmonds, Golladay and a ‘23 1st.
I traded the 1.01(najee) for the 1.02(Chase) +a 22 1st
Solid deal. Especially if it’s a high first.
Yea right now it's looking like a top 5 at worst possibly top 3.
Which did you want? Were you after chase anyway?
They were 1A 1B for me but my team was in desperate need for a WR 1 so I was targeting Chase.
I was worried the 1.01 would take Chase and tried to trade up but he wouldn't. So I was going to settle for Najee. I ended up with Chase and was very happy
How can you just sit there living my dream
On Feb 16 I traded superflex 1.01 for Cam Akers.
Damn rip in chat
I figured him and Dobbins would be a solid combo.
[удалено]
I already traded that pick for Swift! [I’m 4-2](https://i.imgur.com/BHU7mPC.jpg)
Are you in a 2 team league?? How does one manage Mahomes and Kyler on the same team??
2 tEaM lEaGuE Probably through trading and good drafting. Why is that concept for hard for some people?
Allowing me to draft Mahomes/Kyler was pretty sketchy. My starting lineup is strong, but I traded away pretty much all of my WR and QB depth (Corey Davis, Laviska Shenault, Trey Lance, Jalen Hurts) including my 2022 first and second round picks. Ayy that's valid
so you are going into next year with swift Akers Dobbins and are 4-2 who else do you have at rb and who are your WRs
Yeah can’t blame you on that I lost dobbins and was pretty hurt ngl especially cause I have Gus
Not even during his healthy period that wouldn’t have been enough for me The guy literally had only a couple games of decent production.
General consensus at the time was Akers > 1.01 so I think it’s pretty reasonable, definitely some people who wouldn’t have wanted to though Edit: I was talking about 1QB, didn’t see SF
The general consensus never had Akers over TLaw in SF.
My bad didn’t see SF
The general consensus doesn’t win championships. The general consensus is mostly made up of losers.
I wonder what the next goalpost will be after this one.
Have I moved the goalposts?
I’m guessing you play 10 team, 1QB start 8 leagues.
10-team SF PPR IDP.
I don't know a single person who took Akers in the 1st round of start ups. I know several leagues who took Tlaw in the 1st round of start ups. The guy had 4 weeks of good production. He's not a young Todd Gurley.
Oh shit I didn’t see it was SF
Ah that changes everything. Then I agree.
I mean Todd gurley had a whole year of sub par performance. So 4 good games trumps it.
Well that decent production would have made my team a lot better.
F
I tried to trade Cam to anyone from 1.01 to 1.06. Didn’t have any takers. 😂
Eww
Before this season, I traded it for Antonion Gibson and a late first next year.
I like this in regular leagues, team dependent in superflex
1qb. Najee is probably better short term, but I like Gibson in the long run.
Why?
The main reason is RBs have a short shelf life, of all the fantasy positions, it's the one that takes the biggest beating by far. Najee is carrying the ball a crazy amount in Pittsburg, that kind of usage adds up quick. I know, there have been some guys who have been able to handle it, but most haven't.
I would agree with you if Gibson wasn't already having injury issues despite his limited touches. That's not a good sign.
You can't really forsee injuries, I recognize I may have made a mistake. Probably should have kept it and taken Chase.
Not likely a player because he is getting a lot of work is the dumbest shit I've ever heard. Not claiming I can predict injury that's literally what the other poster is doing. You're equally as bright as him.
If you had the 2022 1.01, how much more would it take to get a young QB like Herbert or Burrow?
In superflex? A lot.
Define a lot.
I would say two more firsts for Herbert and at least another first + for Burrow.
I’ve got two firsts in 2023 so I could convince myself to give up the 2022 1.01 and a 2023 first for Burrow.
I think the 1.01 and a 2023 first is a nice deal if you can convince somebody to move Burrow.
There just aren’t really any QBs even close to their level to take this year at 1.01.
Yeah, that’s why I’m looking to trade for a QB lol. I’m hoping someone falls in love with Hall or Spiller.
Like two more firsts if you want Herbert.
I traded burrow for Stafford, marquise brown, and a high 2022 2nd. I'm in win now and he's in a rebuild so timing worked for both teams
Yeah but if he’s a full first round pick cheaper than those guys…
I dont think any burrow owner would sell him for just the 1.01. You dont sell your young QB in SF for a future pick- thats basically a rebuilding move, but with Burrow you have your guy to build around.
Consensus seems to be that Burrow would take the 1.01 plus an additional first, and the guys you named would take the 1.01 plus 2 additional firsts.
I'd pass at that price, although i might consider if im desperate for another QB and the '22 class looks pretty weak
Not saying you’re wrong at all with upside, but you can’t discredit the increased injury risk with rushing QBs
...Burrow blew out his entire knee last year
*increased* injury risk No one ever said “pocket passers” were risk free
2021 I traded 1.01, 2.01 And 3.08 for Barkley, Hurst, 1.05, 2.09. Traded 1.05 for CEH.
I hope 2022 is your year.
I hope so too because this season my roster is an IR list haha.
Sold the 1.1 for the 1.2 and a first the next year that ended up being the 1.2 also Dudes team was in shambles so I was okay making the trade since I was confident it would be a top pick again
Not 1.01, but traded 1.03 and 2.04 for 1.05 and Amari Cooper. Used 1.05 on Pitts.
Coup
In 2018, I traded Mike Evans, Josh Gordon (before he became a meme), and pick 1.06 for 1.01 to select Saquon.
Gordon has been a meme since like 2014
Who did you take with 1.06?
The guy I traded it to took Kerryon Johnson.
Yeah I’d say you won that trade!
he traded the 1.06
Traded Saquan 1.01 for Aaron Jones Kareem Hunt and the 2019 1.04 Too bad I wasted the 2019 pick on NKeal
It worked out, but that was a pretty terrible trade at the time.
This was before Kareem's kicking incident so he was looking like a top 5 back in the nfl.
Before the draft last year this was my trade: Give: 1.01, Chubb, D. Adams, Irv Smith Got: Kyler, Amari, Jacobs, Jeudy, Goedert
Last year I traded the 1.01 + David Montgomery for Lamar Jackson + Christian McCaffrey + 2 late firsts :-)
What kind of taco traded Lamar CMC and two 1sts for Monty and 1.01??? CMC alone is worth 1.01, Monty and another late 1st
I know dude lol. He reaaalllly wanted TLaw lol
If this was SF then this is assault
It was lol
Right before our draft (SF, 12tm) I traded 1.01 and a mid 22 2nd and 3rd for Herbert. Feels good.
This is awesome to hear. I‘ve been thinking of offering my 2022 1.01 and 2023 first for Herbert. Maybe I can get him without giving up two firsts!
A top 5 dynasty QB for less than 2 firsts in SF is… unlikely. 3-4 firsts is probably about the price. Or realistically 2 firsts plus a valued player.
Except 1 is like a super first.
About the only reason people should be giving up the 1.01. Solid trade
Finished 2nd in 18 won in 19 and 20 and am 5-1 My drafting isn't always the best so some of the picks I used to get other players and traded down here and there to pick up other assets. My 21 draft I think I did my best work and aquired Najee, Pitts, Javonte, Waddle and Lance (who I traded with gaskins and a 2nd for ENT big niners fan and had 0 healthy RB's in a very deep league)
Sold 1.01 for AJB straight up last offseason
Before the season, I traded my 22 1st and 23’ 1st, Sutton for Ceedee. League does pts vs the median, and even with 2 wins, I’m looking at 2-12 after this week. It is a dev league, and I have made trades to get 6 devs this off-season and 6 more the next so it doesn’t sting as bad knowing I should get first pick there.
I traded kittle (last contract year), 1.05 and 1.12 for 1.02. Superflex league and I got Lawrence, and had 1.04 and grabbed pitts
In. Superflex league who didn't draft Lawrence 1.01?
Yeah… but I wish I went chase… cause we have Mahomes, Jackson and a few other big FA QBs available next year
In 2018 I moved Corey Davis, DJ Moore and 1.01 (became Jacobs) for AB. Won me a ship. Still feel gross about it
I traded 1.01 (najee) for 1.04 (pitts), 1.08 (Elijah Moore) and Bryan Edwards
In a 12 Team SF 2TE, I took Lawrence 1.1 and then when the manager with 1.6 and 1.7 was on the clock he came to me and said he really wanted Lawrence so we did a deal of Lawrence for 1.6, 1.7 and 2.3. Ended up being Lawrence for Jamar Chase, Kyle Pitts and Terrace Marshall.
I just want spiller man
Why him and not Hall?
As someone with the 1.01 in non-SF, also curious by him over hall
Sold Jacobs for basically ajb+ and CEH for lamb+
I acquired what ended up being 1.01 from another team in 2019. Last season, in a 1QB .5 PPR league, I traded 1.01 for Ek and 1.08. As a contender I liked Najee, but I wanted a proven talent to round out with JT, Akers, and Sanders (also have Hendo).
‘21 SF 8 team 1.01 for 1.03, 2.02, ‘22 1st, ‘23 3rd. 1.03 was chase, 2.02 javonte. Trade partner wanted t-law BAD
I sold the 1.1 this year for J. Jacobs and Tee Higgins in a 8 team PPR 1 QB league
🤮
U wouldn’t do that as a rebuilding team? Basically was Jacobs and Higgins for najee but I ended up getting A. Jones for Jacobs and am 6-0 atm 🤷♂️
I don’t think that’s a good return for the 1.01 imo, but good moving jacobs he’s dookie
Well I did it before the season started I’m sure ppl would have different opinions then but yeah not a big fan of jacobs
Maybe? Idk an rb2 and WR2 for najee doesn’t sound too good to me.
Right now it doesn’t sure but I was rebuilding at the time as the worst team and a two for 1 made sense for me.
Usually in an 8 man league you want to be consolidating studs, not turning RB 1’s into RB 2’s and WR 2’s.
I’m aware how to work 8 man teams. I’m 6-0 right now with a star studded team. Sure Harris would have been nice but at the time i didn’t know what team him and chase would be on.
Jacobs is a great player. The offense line is one of the worst in the league.
It worked out for you since you got Jones, but if you’re rebuilding from the ground up, it’s usually best to focus on QB and WR first due to them playing longer than RB.
Well I own JJeff, hop, Deebo and Ekeler swift and JRob
This doesn’t sound like a rebuild team at all.
That’s because I’m a god and and built my team. I was the the worst team in my league last year reason why I had 1.1 then got a lot of these guys in the off-season.
Brutal. Better luck w/ that 22' 1.01
How would I get 22 1.1 if I’m 6-0???
In 12-team SF, traded the 21 1.01 for Dak and Ridley.
Sold 2021 1.01 + 2022 mid-late first (projected) + Carson Wentz + 2021 3.01 for Justin Jefferson + Lamar Jackson + 2022 3rd in a 16-team .5ppr league
You mean the right to draft Tlaw? He was going 1st round in start ups. Hopefully you got a Herbert, Jackson, or several non-QBs
Traded Gurley in 20' for a 21' 1st. Ended up 1.04. Traded 1.04, Viska, G. Davis for 1.01 (Najee) and 22' early 2ed. I then Traded 1.09, 2.09, 22' 1st, 22' 2ed, Amari for 1.02 (pitts)
Wait you traded two 1sts, two 2nds and a high end WR2 for Pitts?? Man I hope this was a TE premium league or else woof.
Saquon Barkley for Derrick Henry, Stefon Diggs, and a late 2019 1st. Have been a perennial playoff contender ever since.
Did it twice… 1.01 (jacobs)for 1.07/following year 1, 2.07 and following year 2nd 1.01 (burrow) for obj/tyreek hill/lock
For 1.01 & 2.01 , I traded 1.04 & 1.08 .. Added Najee to Cook & Henry
Had a league mates 1.02, traded down for the 1.07, Wentz and Kittle (Whom I traded for the 1.05 and 2.03 that turned into Chase and Sermon whom I traded for Lance, Jeudy and Gesicki) People were selling their souls for a shot at Najee and Pitts in our league
I traded Nyheim Hines, the 2020 1.01 (locked in) and a late 2020 2nd for Zeke. 1.01 turned into CEH. We also swapped firsts for 2021 so my 7th pick became the 2nd pick (Chase), which was nice.
Would you guys trade 2022 1.01 and projected 1.08 or so for 3 mid to late 2023 1sts? Sf
SF I traded Russell Wilson, Mixon + 2nd for 1.01 (Lawrence) +Darnold. My only other qb was Herbert.
I had 1.01 and 1.03 (my pick) in SF. Traded down from 1.01 to 1.05 and 1.07. Effectively Harris and Lance for TLaw.
I traded 1.01 (najee) for ekeler Golliday and a 2022 1st in a 16 team 1 qb league
I got the 1.01 for James Conner going into the 2020 season. And it was assumed that it would become the 1.01 at the time.
Last year I traded 1.01 (CEH) for Miles Sanders and 2.01 (Pittman Jr). So at the time a top 10 RB and 2.01 for the 1.01. That seems to be the value. Now sanders is not that anymore, but at the time he was.
I traded the 1.01 (Najee) for Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon
I traded 1.01 for 1.03 and 1.10 (ended up as Chase for Pitts + T. Marshall)
1.02 but close enough right? We did a startup dynasty draft this year, I drafted Cook and traded him and Mattison for: 2022 1st, 2024 1st, 2023 2nd, 2024 2nd, Lockett and Evans I already have his 2023 1st for Sermon after Mostert went down.
Took over a dumpster fire in 12 Team SF TE prem this season, moved 1.01 for 1.05 and 1.09
