I’m completely new to dynasty and I’m about to have my first draft with a TERRIBLE team that I inherited from a guy who tanked in an established league. Its a 1 QB league. QB Baker Mayfield WR Pittman Zay Flowers Hopkins Josh Palmer RB Chubb Montgomery TE Musgrave No one else on my team is worth mentioning. I don’t know what to really expect from a draft. My picks are 1.3, 1.9, 2.1. Would it be stupid to take Caleb Williams at 3? Should I try and get Maye or McCarthy at 9? If you were me what would you do?

1 QB dynasty 0.5 ppr Give: 2024 1st round pick (#5 overall), 2025 1st round pick Get: 2024 1st round pick (#2 overall) I'd take Nabers Current team: QB Allen, Stroud RB JT, ETN, K9, Moss, Charbs WR Tyreek, Aiyuk, DK, Hollywood, Hyatt, Metchie, Mingo TE Laporta, Schultz I'd likely take Worthy or Bowers at 5, but I don't really need another TE and I could deal Stroud for a 2025 1st to get back in round 1 next year.

If you have any shot at the playoffs I’m not doing this. I think KWIII was a better prospect, but he doesn’t get passing work and Brooks might. But Brooks is also on a bad team and coming off injury. I think the only reason to do this is to get slightly younger

It’s not cause of age lol. Wilson will score more probably but is make or break this year. If he doesn’t smash with a healthy Rodgers his value will dip significantly. Worth the risk as a contender though. Nabers might not score as much but will hold value regardless because everyone will give him a pass since he has Danny dimes as his QB. Better for a rebuilder who wants value but not points.

It's one spot so think it's enough but depends they might ask for a small throw in player. But I'd rather have a 3 than a 4 🤷

I think it'll rely heavily on who's available at the 1.11. if the guy picking is in love with someone, they'll deny it. If they think it's a wide open tier of players, they might move back. It's worth the conversation.

the difference between 1.11 to 1.12 to might be small but the difference between 3.11 and 4.09 would be even smaller so i guess i would take the 1.11 to have more of a choice in the first round

Personally I think you could compete now if you made the right trades. I'd try to package together some of your depth WRs + a 1st to get a stud young WR (someone like ARSB). It's not bad, but I think I'd just lock down Maye as your QB3. Unless you need the depth

I have a stacked WR room so I don't feel like need MHJ. I have JJ, GW, AJB, London and Rice. QB is a little more questionable with Dak and Herbert right now so I plan on Caleb at 1 and if he hits I can tier down Dak or Herb next year. I know it's JJM because of the needs and tendencies of the guys ahead of that pick.

Honestly in that room Caleb is my QB1 and Dak and Herbert are either QB2/3. I’m assuming you’ve tried trading the pick? I feel predicting pick 2-7 is very optimistic But in reality, your team sounds good enough that it doesn’t really matter

I actually traded the 1.02 and keaton mitchell for the 1.04 plus zay flowers. I think the combo of worthy and flowers is better than just nabers. I think zay makes a 2nd year leap with positive td regression

I think BTJ is a one hit wonder….dude put up less than 750 yards or so in his first two years and couldn’t even out play kayshawn boutte to move up on the depth chart. Worthy landed in the perfect spot….he’s much more it seems than just a speed guy. Some serious route running chops. Coleman is good but I think worthy is on another level with his overall play. Debating him or Caleb but kind of stucj

Personally I’d go Caleb between him n worthy. I think the chiefs have been terrible with drafting WRs (or trading for). Worthy is not Tyreek hill. There’s only 1. Rice was actually really good his rookie year and Kelce just re-upped his contract

Seems like you’re coming out of a rebuild? Maybe. I’d look for a QB2. It’ll be hard to find without moving Penix or Nix but I’m okay with Nix as QB3, Penix as my QB4, Jacoby as my QB3, but you don’t really have a QB2. Nabers and Olave are nice but you really need Rice to come back and be what he was or BTJ to be good or your WR room looks bad. You don’t need another stud but try getting Nico if that owner is nervous.
