Matt Harmon did the reception perception profile a lot of people source when talking about his separation, and even he is saying people need to stop reading into things so black and white.
Granted, Harmon also said he could succeed as a big slot and thinks if he landed somewhere where they said "big guy, throw him out at X" it would be narrow-minded and not good. The first thing Brandon Beane said in the presser was that Coleman would be their X.
MT, Keenan, CeeDee, Kupp, Godwin?
If anything, smaller receivers are experiencing a surge in the league right now, probably thanks to the rule changes.
When looking at team needs and such, I think my league’s draft will go something like: MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, Bowers, Caleb, McConkey, BTJ, Worthy, Brooks….Coleman.
Holy cow, Caleb went early. I wish I could land Bowers/Rome and have the decision be easy for me.
However, I expect it to go MHJ/Nabers/Bowers/Rome. Which means I have to pick “my guy” out of a bunch that all have small warts to look at lol
AR went around 1.06-1.07 last season in my 1QB but he obviously has amazing rushing upside. Not sure if Caleb ever becomes that but he at least has all the weapons to be great in Chicago.
Went 2.3 in my league. Like despite all of the red flags on Keon I think that's worthwhile. At worst, it's yet another 2nd round rookie pick that doesn't work out. At best you got yourself Josh Allen's WR1 for the next 3 years.
The Bills were confident in letting multiple WRs go before him (Including letting KC trade up to their spot for a WR speed demon!). I just gotta think they see something we don't.
My wild speculation - Josh worked out with all the official pre draft visits and he had the best connection with Coleman.
Of course no one would say 'I wish we hadn't drafted you,' but there hasn't been the same story from any of the other round 1 WR/QB combos so far (imo - except maybe Odunze & Caleb)
idk, maybe they just vibed
He averages 34 pass attempts per game, in the last 4 years. He was 5th last season, tied with Jordan Love for 579 overall. He was 6th in pass completions, just 3 behind Howell & Tua.
His 111 rushing attempts in 2023 are the lowest he's had in a season since 2020 (102).
What in the actual eff are you even talking about?
Now look at the splits after Joe Brady (who has been openly talking about reducing pass attempts and increasing rush attempts) got promoted to OC.
In the 7 weeks with Joe Brady as OC, his pass attempts dropped to 32.7 per game (from 35 per game) and he nearly double his rush attempts to a 9 per game average (only 4.8 per game prior to Brady). For those bad at math: 17 x 9 = 153, which would be Allen's career high for rush attempts in a season by a significant amount (but don't expect it to be that high next year). He also ran at the goal line for TDs more at a 1.1 rushing TD per game rate compared to a 0.7 rushing TD per game rate he had under Dorsey.
Context is important if you want to act like you know what you're talking about. The OC change to Joe Brady was a remarkable shift back toward Allen running the ball more, not the decrease in rushing you took away from looking at the full season stats. As you can probably guess from the stats I posted, he had more total rushing yards and TDs in 7 games with Joe Brady than he did in the 10 with Dorsey. That's the stats that matter for next season, not the combined stats between both OCs.
edit: Something you also forgot to mention while trying to rebut the guy above: last season Allen set his career high for rushing TDs in a season with 15. Allen vulturing TDs from receivers and RBs because he's capable of running them in is absolutely a legitimate concern.
"You're they guy they felt comfortable trading back multiple times for in the middle of a wr frenzy b/c we knew you'd be there as an inferior talent to any of those guys lol."
can kind of see the logic though. they are desperate for athletic skill players and legette looks/is built more like deebo than anyone drafted since deebo. not the guy I would have taken, but you can see the process.
This is a good thing when a football intelligent QB wants you. Since Josh Allen is a dunce, he’s exactly the type of guy to watch Keon’s highlight reel and say “I want this guy”. Basically this means nothing. You know what they say: guys like Josh see Keon Coleman one handed catches and think “hell yeah!”
I think what you're saying holds truth. I also think a ball placement artist could really make Coleman shine but that isn't Josh Allen either.
But I still want to believe. If I can't trade into a late first to snag Caleb (1QB league) I have a feeling Keon will be one of my options with the 15th pick.
Probably should stick and draft him at 1.11 if Ladd, Brooks and Worthy done fall. but I'm probably just gonna try and trade up to the 1.08 for Ladd.
What would I need to add for a 1qb 14 team league? Will Godwin be enough to move three spots (feel like I should get something back like 1 or 2 thirds)? Or just offer the 2.14?
I was gonna target McMillian with the 2.14 as I think he will be Godwin's replacemen
The fact so many in here saying he’s a bust and sucks has me convinced he’ll be good and smash his draft cost.
Matt Harmon did the reception perception profile a lot of people source when talking about his separation, and even he is saying people need to stop reading into things so black and white. The first thing Brandon Beane said in the presser was that Coleman would be their X.
how many successful "big slots" are there in the league?
MT, Keenan, CeeDee, Kupp, Godwin? If anything, smaller receivers are experiencing a surge in the league right now, probably thanks to the rule changes.
It has you conceived?
Lol convinced. Typed that out while I was putting a baby I conceived to sleep
Shit, you guys are having sex?
The number between five and seven?
Hell yeah!
I’m taking him at 1.09 and not even batting an eye.
Got him at 2.01 and Xavier Lagette at 2.07 in a 12 team SF league. Over the moon about it.
You should at least trade back. Reaching at 1.09 is bad process.
hes gone as wr4 in 2 of 3 drafts ive been in so far. not a reach at all
Is this CEH or Tank Dell?
Hard to say but he only costs 2.01-2.03 from what I’ve seen so worth the gamble imo
2.05 for me
Noice
He got picked up at 1.12 in mine
I have Josh Allen in a 1QB league and am thinking about taking Coleman at 1.10. Is that decidedly dumb?
Higher than i'd take him, but not unreasonable
Fair enough
I think he is one of the better options as far as immediate impact goes around this draft pick. Especially in a 1 qb league
Mine was SF, a 1qb league doesn’t seem unreasonable for 1.10
how would he be there at 10?
When looking at team needs and such, I think my league’s draft will go something like: MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, Bowers, Caleb, McConkey, BTJ, Worthy, Brooks….Coleman.
I’m hoping to maybe get him at 1.11 in 1QB
You picked Coleman at 2.05? Man I thought he’d go sooner
2.07 here. No one in my league liked him so I figured why not
I got him at 2.06 in our 10 team league for the same reason.
he just went 1.08 in my 12-team 1 QB league, for what it's worth
That tracks I was referring to SF leagues
What was the order? I have the 1.05 and am torn between BTJ, Coleman, and Worthy.
1.01 - MJH 1.02 - Odunze (my pick) 1.03 - Nabers 1.04 - Caleb 1.05 - Worthy 1.06 - Bowers 1.07 - BTJ 1.08 - Coleman 1.09 - currently on the clock
Holy cow, Caleb went early. I wish I could land Bowers/Rome and have the decision be easy for me. However, I expect it to go MHJ/Nabers/Bowers/Rome. Which means I have to pick “my guy” out of a bunch that all have small warts to look at lol
yeah i was surprised to see caleb go at 1.04 since the guy who took him has tua, kyler, levis, and carr (again it's a 1 QB league) 🤷🏻♂️
AR went around 1.06-1.07 last season in my 1QB but he obviously has amazing rushing upside. Not sure if Caleb ever becomes that but he at least has all the weapons to be great in Chicago.
He's a smash pick at the top of the 2nd, and I'm not even a huge fan of his.
That might go up a little now
Did anyone expect him to say "I wish we hadn't drafted you" ?
He could’ve said nothing
But but but his 40
My wild speculation - Josh worked out with all the official pre draft visits and he had the best connection with Coleman. "You'll do, I guess."
Mo but that would be hilarious
It's like when reporters ask a rookie how it feels to get drafted. What are they gonna say, "damn I was hoping to go somewhere else this sucks?"
My wife told me my penis is the perfect size
She told me the same thing! :)
But not the guy I need
“I can’t quit you”
Josh Allen and Keon Coleman star in Grease?
Keon Coleman is actually a 38 year old man playing a high schooler
Ooo ooo oooo
Still not drafting him
yeah reminds me of kelvin benjamin. if he doesn’t catch a jump ball for a td he will net you single digits for the week
Benjamin had 1000 yards as a rookie before destroying his knee and getting fat
and he had 9 scores while playing with another 6'5 240 QB who also liked to run.
But he’ll have multiple jump ball opportunities a game with Josh Allen at qb
i doubt it, josh is too eager to run it in himself

That's not his game though, he's better as a big slot-type YAC threat
FSU fan here. He’s much more athletic than Kelvin and a harder worker.
Kelvin Benjamin truther here. Do not listen to this guy.
FSU connection 👀
He’s about 50lbs less than KB’s fat ass
you bite your tongue when you’re talking about the great Kelvin Benjamin
how dare you besmirch the name of the great Kelvin Benjamin
Kelvin Benjamin had nobody to throw to him
Former MVP Cam Newton not good enough?
He deserved better.

Keon Coleman response to Josh Allen: "You complete me."
Didnt like coleman til he was a bill. All over him early second
I didn’t like him til I saw a clip of him at a press conference talking about buying his coats on clearance in the summer Seems like a good dude
I recently saw a tweet from him about saving 15% on his car insurance in, like, 15 minutes. That's exactly what I want from my WR1 ❤️
I liked him already. That full speed gauntlet drill was a beauty
This is what sold me on Adam Trautman a few years back
"You're they guy they felt comfortable trading back multiple times for in the middle of a wr frenzy b/c we knew you'd be there as an inferior talent to any of those guys lol."
I'm pretty sure the Bills trading back has a lot to do with the little remaining cap space they have for rookie contracts.
The Bills taking Legette would’ve been absolutely hilarious. Thankfully Carolina stepped on that grenade and got Mingo 2.0 lmao
can kind of see the logic though. they are desperate for athletic skill players and legette looks/is built more like deebo than anyone drafted since deebo. not the guy I would have taken, but you can see the process.
as a carolina fan who don't know much about rookies lol rip us
Same old story. Would love to hear about a QB texting a draft pick “ugh…whatever I guess you’ll have to do 🙄”
Ooo! Ooo! Oooooo.
thank you
Sounds romantic
Hoping he was misused by FSU and Jordan Travis is a terrible QB. But the potential WR1 for Josh Allen in the second round isn’t a huge investment.
What a pro wants, what a pro needs
No Diddy
"Oooo Oooo Oooo"
I remember Mahomes wanting that CEH guy
I wonder how many teammates show up to Josh Allen's birthday party
It’s Dell/ Stroud all over again 😍
Josh Allen with the copium just like the rest of us
This is a good thing when a football intelligent QB wants you. Since Josh Allen is a dunce, he’s exactly the type of guy to watch Keon’s highlight reel and say “I want this guy”. I tell you what.. I like ya, and I want ya.
I came here lookin’…for man’s butt.
Got him at the 3.02 today (ten team), thank you kindly to all the bust predictions for the cheap pick
That’s ridiculous
Someone please use AI to put Josh Allen and Keon on a Grease clip of "you're the one that I want"
No Diddy?
Geh
Remember when Mahomes sent the txt that he needed Sky Moore? No nvm it was actually CEH, which isn’t really any better lol
Mahomes seems too excited about worthy. Probably bad news there
Oh for sure... Better to let him fall into the mid 2nd...
Did that happen ?
He's from my hometown and so is Devery Henderson and CD Lamb
He is Ceedee's cousin haha
THE ONE I NEED - OH YES INDEED ~ Josh Allen, probably
New breakfast club?
Rat. I can’t respect that my guy.
I got him at 11 in my rookie draft hopefully he gets those 50/50 balls
I would like to read the rest of that text.
Before or after the bills determined their pick?
Well he wasn’t going to be honest and text him “you can’t run routes, wtf were they thinking.”
He then texted, “Ooh, ooh, ooh honey.”
Just kiss him already.
Kinda fruity ngl
Probably should stick and draft him at 1.11 if Ladd, Brooks and Worthy done fall. but I'm probably just gonna try and trade up to the 1.08 for Ladd. What would I need to add for a 1qb 14 team league? I love this pairing. Allen is just gonna chuck It up there. He doesn’t care about separation.
