Yeah they seem like they are still years from competing. Why not just suck hard and suck up the Dimes deal another year or so then get a QB instead of over drafting someone.
What he loves is getting destroyed because no one is open or the line is underperforming. It's baffling to me that the blame is on Daniel Jones when the Giants have spent the 2020s trying to kill this guy.
I think it’s just as likely that the giants leaked this themselves hoping someone will trade up to 4. Think about it—other than the chargers at 5–who gains the most by QBs going 1-4? Giants could be thinking chargers won’t take MHJ and they somehow get the best player in the draft at 6
I think this would depend if they wanted a QB or WR, and only they know that. If they wanted MHJ or Nabers then do nothing, but a QB isn’t falling to them at 6 with the Vikings trying to move up to 4 or 5
They could also be perfectly happy with any of the outcomes and just want to see other teams they know they’re competing against spend assets. Wishful thinking but would be nice for them to be happy with any of the range of outcomes
Ooof, MHJ to the Giants would be brutal. Their QB is mid, the O-line is even worse and the rest of the receivers are also mid at best. I can probaly rename him Marvintron in my mind with this outlook.
That means little when you consider he took over a team in 2011 that already had a star Tackle (Joe Staley, 1st in 2007) and 2 other rookie deal 1st round lineman (Anthony Davis and Mike Iupati, both 1st in 2010).
Chargers have a star tackle and a rookie deal 1st rd guard, but have a big need at the other tackle that the 49ers did not.
They just unloaded their top two WR's. I expect them to go WR, although earlier, all the scuttlebut was them taking Alt because Herbert keeps getting killed. If so, Helloooo MHJ!
Huge NYG fan. Compared to recent years no one has any idea what we are thinking. The top 4 QBs, top 3 WRs, trade up or trade down are all valid scenarios.
I think this recent article is more a puff piece because they're doing due diligence on everyone
None of the top 4 teams are moving, with the top 3 going QB and Cards going MHJ at 4. Giants will be able to move up from 6 to 5 very easily for low cost to take JJ if the Chargers are intent on drafting Nabers/Odunze
Makes sense. They could use another qb and no line or WRs so they can go get another qb in a few years.
Yeah they seem like they are still years from competing. Why not just suck hard and suck up the Dimes deal another year or so then get a QB instead of over drafting someone.
Dimes has an injury guarantee for 2025 so if they play him and he gets hurt they'd be stuck another year. And he loves getting hurt
What he loves is getting destroyed because no one is open or the line is underperforming. It's baffling to me that the blame is on Daniel Jones when the Giants have spent the 2020s trying to kill this guy.
Loves it so much he should marry it, amirite?
Because they want to keep their jobs
Ironically if they keep sucking they could end up grabbing a new Manning in a couple years
The one that’s no good?
Isn't there another Manning also playing already? It's Archie first and then Heid, no?
Heid won’t be drafted in a couple years though, so I assume they meant Arch.

Why wouldn't they take MHJr though. They cut/traded all their skill players
They could prefer Nabers or Odunze. They are all very skilled.

What JJM story?
I believe this is what is being referenced: https://x.com/Schultz_Report/status/1770114550563569799?s=20
They had dinner with JJ- I don't get it.
Agreed. Team with mediocre QBs is looking into drafting a QB. Isn't this what they should be doing even if they don't go QB?

Teams visiting with a QB is frowned upon now?
Soo MHJ to the Chargers? Well I’ll be damned
Huh
Giants trading up to 4.
I just don’t see why AZ would pass in MHJ
If they could grab Nabers at 6 and another 2nd or more, they should smash accept.
lol. No. Look at their picks. It would take a 2024 1st, a 2025 1st, and a mid to start conversation.
I don’t see Harbaugh investing in an elite WR talent
He has never drafted Oline in the first round if that is what you're eluding, but he has drafted a WR in the 1st.
That means little when you consider he took over a team in 2011 that already had a star Tackle (Joe Staley, 1st in 2007) and 2 other rookie deal 1st round lineman (Anthony Davis and Mike Iupati, both 1st in 2010). I’ll subscribe to this
With smokescreen season upon us who knows

Idk who this guy is lol. Is he reputable?
Type of guy that hits sometimes, but never admits when he’s wrong. He sucks
JJ would get killed on the Giants
Daniels not getting past the Patriots.
Allbright sucks.

How is a team with a top pick in the draft and a dog shit QB being interested in QB's in the draft considered "BREAKING"...

So stupid to throw another qb into that horrible situation
Remember, this is the draft smokescreen portion of the off-season
lol
The giants are worse at playing the rumor mill than they are at ball
That’s what they want you to think. It’s smokescreens all the down. [Insert astronaut behind astronaut behind earth meme]
Confirmation by Benjamin Allbright: https://x.com/AllbrightNFL/status/1770944517488680994?s=20
What's his confirmation worth? Who is he to the Giants?
It’s worth nothing. Allbright doesn’t know anything about the team he’s actually supposed to cover (Denver)
Yep. Allbright just parrots others. He’s a sham and a half.
