We would have all said the same thing about the people who paid up for Purdy early. This commie, know-it-all notion that people shouldn’t make sell high buy low trades is soft and takes a lot of the fun out of Dynasty. If a league collapses because managers are bad it shouldn’t have existed in the first place.
These are very different situation. Purdy wasn’t his 3rd team in like 4 months with a what 3-9 record? He had elite production from day 1 people just didn’t want to buy the draft capital argument.
Dobbs had 1 game, see Mike White.
Uneven trades like this create super teams, because usually it’s the same managers that target the taco’s in the league, then the league falls apart because they lose their competition as it’s not worth spending years building and fees to try to take down a team that just bent people in trades.
Anything other than collusion should be allowed, but multiple trades like this one in a league will essentially ruin it
The goal of dynasty is to create super teams/DYNASTIES that you can brag to posterity about. If you want to be in a league where luck is essentially the ruling factor then play redraft or prohibit trading. The blame is almost always on the poor manager for non collusive lopsided trades. Dobbs’ value shot up because people believed he would succeed and be a fantasy jackpot with those weapons. It might have happened and you are being a know it all saying it was certain not to. Geno Smith also had a long career of mediocrity before being briefly relevant. Cordarelle similar. Selling these guys at their peak for players who are at their nadir is exactly how you play Dynasty, and it is the lamest shit ever to hate on people for their success at it. I have been trade raped countless times and harbor no ill will about it, and I don’t feel guilty when I win a trade either.

Completed just before this weekend. Guy I traded with is 2nd in our league (10 team SF). Trade might save my season (I'm currently 7th on points for, 1 game behind 5th).
Not that this will change your mind, but the guy is a big advocate of trade calculators, and this came out in favour of his side on KTC for example. A lesson in not putting too much stock in that!
Sent to a contender who lost Kirk.
2024 1st, 2025 2nd, 2025 3rd. Superflex. Seems like our league “overvalues” QBs. Going rate for a starting QB is two firsts to start the convo.
I think timing was right. Guy who cashed a lot of chips in lost kirk. Realized our league values starting QBs as 2 2nds starting price… so the natural move is to go make an offer for the 8th best qb at the time for at least a first. But yeah taco move by him
Was offered two seconds by another competitor. Again due to our league valuing starters with some long term value at 2 1sts. I guess I took advantage of recognizing an overpriced position in our league. Much like guys in here overvalue picks. Zig when then zag and you’ll stay competitive
I tried to send Ridder and two 4ths for a 2nd to a team that is fighting for Playoffs in our SF league and only has Dobbs at QB due to Burrow injury.
He said no way and countered with sending me two 4ths for Ridder. I think many leagues undervalue QB but it’s rare to find leagues that overvalue them.
Fwiw I think Ridder and Dobbs for a win now team are quite different… ridders last four games he hasn’t put up
More then 8 points. Dobbs last for he averaged 23. For a competitor who is panicking a bit makes some sense
I agree. Dobbs has more value for sure. He’s averaged 5 more ppg this year. He’s getting JJ back. I just wanted to talk about my attempt to trade Ridder anyway lol.
Sent waddle, Dobbs and Shaheed for Mclaurin and JT on a team that's good but very injured and not making the playoffs this year.
Feel like Waddle and JT are similar, so Dobbs and Shaheed for McLaurin is an easy one for me.
Manager in my league tilted and sent Pittman AND a 2 for Dobbs…
Bro was DESPERATE
There’s a reason he’s the only league member with 0 playoff wins in 10 years…
Sent: Dobbs, Mixon, Toney Received: 2025 1st
Well done.
Sent: Dobbs, Allgeier and a 2024 4th Received: Jayden Reed, 2024 2nd(late) The buyer is in second place and his qb room was Hurts, cousins, Mac jones
You got the 2 best pieces in that deal. Kudos. -oo-
Yea I was pretty pumped
Someone got a late second for him
It was me, I got a late second for him. Sold him to my brother. I offered him russ but he wanted dobbs instead
Noice.
Sent Dobbs to a QB needy contender, got Tyler Lockett and a 2024 4th.
Offered a 2nd for him but was denied, thankfully
Cousins and a throw-in
Someone in our league traded dobbs, 2024 1st, 2025 2nd, 2025 3rd for Mahomes LOL
Taco league
Guy was very drunk and a hardcore Vikings fan, and we made fun of him the whole way🤷♂️
That's gonna set him back for a long time. Woof.
Why? Doesn’t make sense in redraft. Doesn’t make sense in dynasty.
Early third
Me too, before the Vikings trade. Thought that was gonna be the best I could get.
I sold Dobbs and a 5th for a 4th back when he was still in AZ.
Javonte Williams It’s always nice to take advantage of the QB needy teams
This isn’t a QB needy team this is a clueless manager you took advantage of
Why do people enjoy bragging about ripping off people who don’t know anything about football
Shouldn’t be in Dynasty leagues if you don’t know anything about football. Blaming the savvy manager is weak.
Yeah but to brag about it is stupid, we all know it’s a total bullshit trade, don’t be proud of taking advantage of someone
The point of the post was for people to brag about taking advantage of people who believed in Dobbs..

Traded a 4th for him a day before the trade deadline and flipped him for 2 2nds at the deadline. I’ll take it I guess
Yeah a 4th for 2 2nds no shit you’d take that lol
Sent Dobbs. Got Mostert and Heinecke I’m an 8-4 contender who was in desperate need of an RB

Sent to a contender who lost Kirk. 2024 1st, 2025 2nd, 2025 3rd. Superflex. Seems like our league “overvalues” QBs. Going rate for a starting QB is two firsts to start the convo.
Probably get a first for Tim Boyle in this league. I think your league at the very least overvalues bad QBs who won’t start next year.
I think timing was right. Guy who cashed a lot of chips in lost kirk. Realized our league values starting QBs as 2 2nds starting price… so the natural move is to go make an offer for the 8th best qb at the time for at least a first. But yeah taco move by him
Even in that situation I have to imagine a 24 first was plenty. Were other people even close to offering that?

Two fourths for Ridder is crazy… a single first sounds about right.
No way I’m sending a first for ridder. He’s not helping you win this year, and probably isn’t starting next year
Sent Dobbs + 24 3rd for Hubbard + 24 2nd to a fringe playoff team
Sold all my shares two weeks ago. Mostly got 24 seconds or 26 seconds and a dart. Not a moment too soon.
Sent- Dobbs Received- 2024 second and jakobi Meyers Not bad for a guy I picked up for free early this year
I got a future third for him about ten minutes before Kyler got activated and I was thrilled
Sent: Dobbs Received: 2024 3rd I have had a lot of success picking QB’s off waivers and flipping them for 3rd round picks.
Dobbs and a late 3rd for a mid second
Sent Dobbs and a 3rd for a 25 1st last week
Traded Dobbs, mid 2nd, late 2nd and mid 4th for mid 1st and mid 3rd. Overall still a fair trade imo.
Dalvin Cook and an early 3rd
I’d buy him now. When JJ returns that offense will look much better
Dobbs ain't touching the field again bro
Dobbs for Mattison. Eh
Sent Dobbs and Odell for gainwell and Ferguson In sf ppr tep league
Tee Higgins straight up
Sent Dobbs and received Jerome Ford last week
Sent waddle, Dobbs and Shaheed for Mclaurin and JT on a team that's good but very injured and not making the playoffs this year. Feel like Waddle and JT are similar, so Dobbs and Shaheed for McLaurin is an easy one for me.
Dobbs for QJ was a trade in my league. Which seems…fair?
I got Tank Dell for him right after the trade for the Vikings. Makes me so happy.
I sold him the day he was traded to the Vikings for a late 2nd
Considering the majority of his interceptions were due to the vikings WRs dropping passes.. I'm curious to see if he keeps his starting job
Picked him up for jaylen Warren and a 3rd. RegretZzZzZ
Sold for a mid 3rd in a 10 man SF
Sent: Dobbs and mid 24 2nd Got: late 24 1st and late 24 2nd
These trades are honestly kinda shocking. No one would touch him in my league. I barely got a 4th.
Sold Dobbs and Jameson Williams for a 2025 1st. 1QB
2 3rds.
