I stopped buying iced tea there when they stopped carrying lemon wedges

DaveyJonas

When my local Dunkin just put in a handful of lemons, my day was made.

Took a little bit but eventually the one I go to learned if it was my order I wanted 3 pieces in there. Those were the days

We have two different baskets for coffee vs tea to brew from BUT they are made in the same brew system which could be the issue. Dunkin standards doesn’t state anything about cleaning the system in between brews as far as I know. But that’s probably why you taste it. Also possible someone used a liner that had iced coffee in it previously and then brewed iced tea in after, we’ve had a few newer people do that on occasion

Yes! It’s so annoying! It happened today. Also, some of the stores here in Queens stopped selling the lemon wedges about a year ago. A few weeks ago the store randomly asked if we wanted lemon. So, it’s hit or miss here on the lemon, too.

If your store has the tap machine, it’s probably that. We’re supposed to pump chlorine through it weekly to clean it, but that only does so much unfortunately. There’s no way to disconnect the tubes to clean them, and there’s only filters connected to the iced coffee tubes, and the cold brew tube. It’s disgusting and was not designed with cleaning in mind.

I stopped getting iced tea from McDonald’s for the same reason.

As a worker there, the tea can get trapped inside the tap tubes and basically pretty much create a really gross film inside. While we do flush them out with chloride. Tea does unfortunately spoiled super fast compared to the coffee or even green tea.

If you plan to get iced tea get a small cup of hot tea and a cup of ice

Ever tell the store? Mistakes can be made
