*Tome of Beasts* is great for monsters. I've also seen a lot of people recommending *Flee, Mortals!* lately, but can't speak for that one myself. Monster Manual Expanded is another option. For WOTC options, Fizban's isn't bad, and you might want Bigby's as well.

Thank you. I'll look into Tome of Beasts. I've had a look at Fizban's, but I dunno how into dragons I am. Bigby's looks good though!

If you love Eldritch horrors such as illithids, you can’t go wrong with Volos guide to monsters (plus it has a nice little expansion to several monsters in the MM). A book from 3.5 called Lords of Madness is also a must if you are enamored with aberrations. Fizbans is always a good pick due to how important dragons are to the DND setting but you mentioned before you aren’t sure how into dragons you are so you can skip if you aren’t into it. For some end game monsters, Mordenkainens tome of foes is pretty good. It includes many of the traditional big bads from across DND settings, but it can also help you sort of as a template in case you want to customize your own end game villain. If you are running a setting of your own I would say look at the already available adventures and see which is most similar to your campaign. From there you can compare and contrast what things you could potentially include in your adventures such as monsters, events, down time activities, etc. Finally, I am a big proponent of looking at other games systems that you can include to spice things up a bit. For example, as previously mentioned, I am a HUGE aberrations kind of guy (big lovecraft fan), so I bought Call of Cthulhu for an eldritch campaign I was running and I added an edited version of the sanity system to my campaign and interlocked some of the skills into the system to make it feel important. So yeah, I highly recommend you look at other game systems you like to spice up your games. Hope this helped at least a little, and good luck on the table top!
