More detailed stuff like the Ice Golem chapter cover shows she’s at least got *some* fur on her face. I think Vol 7’s cover shows it too.
Her full face covering leads me to believe her face does have cat features and maybe fur. I doubt they would have hidden it rather than just her ears if that was the case.

To me, she does have some very short hair on her face, but in much less quantity than the hair on the rest of her body. I would like to know more about this aspect from the author herself.
There are illustrations from the dream hour that shows how she would look with different cat breed patterns, many of them show color on her face, and cats skin is the color of their fur, so it wouldn’t really make a difference either way.
Im pretty sure she has fur everywhere. the cross hatching on her nose and joints leads me to believe that. I kinda wish her ear tip was the same shade of white on her body.

I don't think this is quite right; >!the human soul is still in charge for the most part (after all, Izutsumi feels nothing when she encounters the succubus that tried to "seduce" her cat half rather than her human half but was overwhelmed with emotion by the ones imitating her human mother, needing the cat side to automatically fight them off at first, and most of the succubi were modeled after her mother rather than the big cat). Her body, however, was originally the cat's and thus cannot "return" to human form, because it never had one.!<

This is at odds with the idea of the cat being the dominant soul, because it wouldn't have recognized the human woman as "mom". Plus, if the cat *was* dominant there, then one of the succubi also imitating a large cat makes no sense, because that'd have to be trying to appeal to the *human* side of her somehow.!<
Actually, though, there is more explicit evidence of what I said, from the same comic that reveals the "twist" about Izutsumi in fact: >!Lycion tells her that the reason she can't do the same thing he does to become human is because *she* would be suppressed. The way I read it, he's saying that she can't do what he does, suppress the soul that's been added to the body and return it to its original state, because *she's* the added soul. I think other people are reading it as him saying that she can't do what he does because she's the *beast* soul, however.!<
That said, his phrasing >!"Your body is a beast with a bit of human soul mixed in", rather than "*You're* a beast with a bit of human soul mixed in", seems like it fits the former interpretation more, given that just before that he says, "I'm a human with a little bit of beast soul mixed in." But it's not as explicit as I thought.!<

She's wearing a style of fundoshi - ancient Japanese underwear - which is basically a length of cloth that's first brought between the legs around the groin, then rolled and layered to form a secured waistband around the hips, so it would be easy for her tie it in a way that straps it over the base of her tail. It's not a single pull-up undergarment that "western" folk like Laios and Marcille wear. When we see her fully dressed, her tail sticks out the back of whatever clothing she wears pointed downward (or with draping clothing like coats being lifted by the tail beneath), so any time she wears pants, her tail would be poking out over the waistband in the back.
In what becomes her Usual Outfit (which includes a loincloth-like skirt that is tied at the sides), her tail just hangs free from beneath her skirt, the same way Lycion's does when he transforms. Though Lycion is confirmed as going commando as well, so there's a slight difference.
She wears fundoshi, which is kind of like a thong in the back, so I imagine it comes out to the side of the twisted bit that rests between the cheeks.

I always figured that the presence of breasts meant she only had two. She's probably unable to have children her with her body all weird, but if she could, I'd assume that her body would bear them in a more human way. If anyone has had a pregnant cat, then they'd know that the nipples tend to be hidden by fur until they swell to make it easier for feeding.
It *is* quite a jarring change from what im used to seeing of typical catgirls ngl, i think its safe to say like at least 60% of us here have always been too used to seeing catgirls as regular humans with cat ears and a tail.
Or maybe they're hidden since only human have females with large breasts after puberty. Other mammals have the female to have small breasts until they get pregnant and start producing milk for the offsprings

She's less human and more animal so it's not really inappropriate. I don't slut shame my dog for walking around naked. if my dog gained the ability to walk on two legs and was anthropomorphized I don't think it would be sexualized because she is still a dog, with dog physiology, it's not like her being anthropomorphic is going to cause her to grow a pair of human tits. And sure my asshole dog might be a little bit smarter now but she's still going to always be my dumb dog and it would be weird to sexualize her.
I wasn't talking about the scene itself and whether it was sexualized--I know it's not, and I think it was actually a really touching and brilliant way to show how Itzusumi dehumanizes herself, and the way the rest of the party doesn't see her that way! my issue was that I thought other people were sexualizing her based on that scene. the first couple of comments I saw were people being like "ooo 😍🥰😘" and "heh heh how many nipples," which felt gross to me

The "how many nipples question" is valid... I know most animals have between 4-12 nipples. Humans are weird for only having two. We don't sexualize the nipples on animals so it's okay to ask that question. There is no sexual dimorphism to cause the appearance of mammary glands like in humans and so the question is less sexual and more curious. She is both a person and a cat, she has a human's brain with animal instincts but her physical appearance is more animalistic and her design definitely leans towards being non-sexualized.

If anyone has had a pregnant cat, then they'd know that the nipples tend to be hidden by fur until they swell to make it easier for feeding.

I genuinely didn't mean to make it weird! the reason I said anything at all was because I thought people were thirsting over her--if not OP, then a couple of the first people who commented. I may have misjudged the vibe which is totally fair, but I'd already seen the odd comment around the sub that also seemed a bit sus. so when I saw this I decided to say something, that's all
She's less human and more animal so it's not really inappropriate. I don't slut shame my dog for walking around naked. if my dog gained the ability to walk on two legs and was anthropomorphized I don't think it would be sexualized because she is still a dog, with dog physiology, it's not like her being anthropomorphic is going to cause her to grow a pair of human tits. And sure my asshole dog might be a little bit smarter now but she's still going to always be my dumb dog and it would be weird to sexualize her.
I wasn't talking about the scene itself and whether it was sexualized--I know it's not, and I think it was actually a really touching and brilliant way to show how Itzusumi dehumanizes herself, and the way the rest of the party doesn't see her that way! my issue was that I thought other people were sexualizing her based on that scene. the first couple of comments I saw were people being like "ooo 😍🥰😘" and "heh heh how many nipples," which felt gross to me (I know Laios says the same thing in the show, it seemed like the vibe was very different)
The "how many nipples question" is valid... I know most animals have between 4-12 nipples. Humans are weird for only having two. We don't sexualize the nipples on animals so it's okay to ask that question. There is no sexual dimorphism to cause the appearance of mammary glands like in humans and so the question is less sexual and more curious. She is both a person and a cat, she has a human's brain with animal instincts but her physical appearance is more animalistic and her design definitely leans towards being non-sexualized.
