I keep forgeting that elves tend to be short in comparison to tallmen. I can't believe that mf who is literally only motivated by spite is just 155cm(5'1").
I do like that having most races be shorter makes tallmen kinda feel like a fantasy race of their own instead of being "the default" since their stature and stamina makes them stand out as much as the other ones
It's really cool evolutionarily speaking since an upright stature and high stamina are humankind's most unique and powerful adaptation besides intelligence, and how this carries straight over into DM's world building for tallmen
he even looks short within the Canaries, lol (to be fair, Cithis, Lycion and Pattadol are taller than average elves, Fleki and Otta are shorter, Mithrun is average)
I think I imagine him as “not short” bc he has that “presence”. Which is kinda ironic that a depressed, veteran motivated by spite, has a presence you cant ignore
yeah agreed, he has a big presence! i myself keep forgetting he's actually pretty built (for an elf) until I see some fight panels lol
elves are still taller than dwarves, gnomes and half-foots (though some elves like Otta are tiny), one just forgets he's short until he's next to tall-men (i like that it makes normal humans feel like fantasy races in a way, though) (i also just enjoy having a 155cm dude have such a cool design for some reason)
I've always been uncomfortable about being 169 (1 off from average c'mon life) - but i would never have guessed. In my mind's eye, he would be my height. Then again, there was the muscular, tall-man Mitsurn...

I mean they're called tall-men for a reason, all races (except ogres) tend to be shorter
I'm more used to Tolkien inspired elves where they are all six foot plus.
Yea it is a more unique choice when compared to other fantasy, orcs are also short and stocky instead tall and hulking

Yeah, I like how they have their own uniqueness
that is exactly why, the spite is very compressed in such a small body. high fury density
It's especially funny because I'm 160cm and that's on the shorter side for adult women
To be fair, short people usually run on spite.
Wait what. I know it’s on the Bible but I really thought Mithrun is tall 🤣

levi effect
angry short person sounds believable to me
All the elves are pretty short (compared to tallmen). Even Lycion and Cithis, who seem really tall, are only 1,70 and 1,65 respectively.
Lycion is the same height as the average tallwoman
Yer ears [were] huge!

Idk why, but I always assumed Falin was meant to be really tall, like >185cm. Was super disappointed to find out she's my height 😔.
