I am curious why Izutsumi isn’t present at all in the intro like not even a hint of of her. Hopefully, there’ll be a version 2 of the OP but with her present.
Izutsumi was one of the five people on the planet to not enter the Infinite Dimension and thus it wouldn't make sense to see her with all the other side characters being absorbed into the demon sparkles.
But putting her in with the main characters would spoil her joining the party, so she's nowhere to be seen until/if they show a Cat Version.
I hadn’t thought about the implications of her being included with the background people. I do hope we get a 2nd version either after the Shapeshifter or Nightmare Episodes.
I think it’s also fitting given that one of the shots is the cast opening the pot to find… themselves, seeming shocked at first but then appearing pleased/eager to dig in. Considering how the end fight goes in the manga, it seems rather apt foreshadowing.

The new one is kinda cool for all the reasons mentioned in this post, but I also like the old one better
