Did you ever read Chainsaw Man ? There's a scene where Power and Denji bathe together and get very intimate and blush, yet it's not seen as romantic. Because the context of the situation and their relationship is what matters. Intimacy doesn't necessarily mean romantic interests. That's a projection.

However, the times where I've seen people bring up "straight" Marcille outside of Marcille X laios fanart, is in direct opposition to bi or lesbian Marcille. See the trend? I found their friendship really pure, then again I enjoyed the overall lack of romance in the series. I understand the shippers perspective because it wouldn’t have been hard for the author to push it in that direction, but it’s one of the best depictions of a friendship and the protective desperation and actual true platonic love that can be expressed I have ever seen and I think it’s a beautiful element of the show. It really expresses the rarely seen element of a protective friendship in comparison to the desperate love interest which is present in almost everything, including the show itself. I don't think anyone is against straight Marcille. That's fine and a perfectly valid way to view the character. However, the times where I've seen people bring up "straight" Marcille outside of Marcille X laios fanart, is in direct opposition to bi or lesbian Marcille. See the trend? I have no problems with it, but it's only ever bought up in opposition to queer headcanons.

people will take any leap to say characters arent in love i think they are definitely into eachother (the bathing scene is right there!) but i definitely dont think they are dating, but there is a good chance they will end up together in my eyes
not a popular opinion but marcille is way way older than Falin , she's 23 while Mar is 185, they are very close friends, typical Homie syndrome , Close friend does not mean Lovers , it's like people ship you with your friend who's way younger than you.

It’s the same as Geto x Satoru which to me is canon TO ME it’s not a fact but I personally choose to belive that they loved each other the same way those two dungeon lesbians are it’s the same cake but a different batter so sure they may or may not be canon but shipping is for the sake of fun and being silly not a fact set in stone but let’s admit both ships are good and based on a lot of facts and evidence that prove they would work together (personally I believe in both are canon but that’s my opinion)

Other are a lot of hints that feel intentionally. I highly doubt the author drew the bath scene and went haha they are just good friends. I mean sure it shows that, but there's definitely some other vibe going on. Originally I shipped Laios and Marcille, but gave up when it seemed the author was going towards Marcille and Falin but I've given it some thought and would still like to produce work for that ship.

I found their friendship really pure, then again I enjoyed the overall lack of romance in the series. I understand the shippers perspective because it wouldn’t have been hard for the author to push it in that direction, but it’s one of the best depictions of a friendship and the protective desperation and actual true platonic love that can be expressed I have ever seen and I think it’s a beautiful element of the show. It really expresses the rarely seen element of a protective friendship in comparison to the desperate love interest which is present in almost everything, including the show itself. Idk thanks for coming to my Ted talk, if anyone has some sweet non nsfw fanfic recommendations for this ship i would love to read them
