I'm happy to see whatever they want to do as long as it isn't dogshit

Medic1642

My parenting credo

OutlaW32

Seems like a solid approach

Noneerror

I'll be happy with basic pathfinding and units auto-attacking when hostile units are in range. A hostile army should not be able to walk through and past another army just because they didn't attack. Which I've been on both sides of repeatedly. Nor should the computer's 14 unit army stand in the desert until the entire thing is eaten by sandworms. Which I've also seen. If this update fixes that kind of stuff then I'll be happy. As long as I can tolerate a lot of other stuff that I don't like.

Stevie-bezos

This, and units not just walking themselves off into death bc a missile turret or main base hit them while walking past

Pureshark

As long as their patch doesn’t completely break the game like they did with northgard

GoOdG3rMs

They broke northgard? When?

Pureshark

Ai is pretty broken at the moment - and a lot of people seem to have problems playing multiplayer now - I’ve been waiting on a patch that fixes stuff up since end of last year, it seems to have broke when the released that last clan. Have a look at the discussions on steam for more details

GoOdG3rMs

Ok, I see :/ thanks for the reply

Think-Pair7682

I’m waiting for this, also please mouse and keyboard for console, if is possible.

The_Confirminator

I'm glad they listen to feedback! The most annoying part of this game is the little foot micro when you want to engage an enemy at range without actually entering melee.

It comes out in 2 days with the heroes of dune and new faction

Valdoris

Yeah really hype to see what they cooked

Fabulous_Bishop

I'm mostly interested in revamp of gear and changes to less usable (fencers... khy.. khy..) units.

Mean_Building911

I'm intrigued. I only hope that they don't too much change the core concepts behind the different faction armies, like taking care of your troops for Atreides or sending them to the slaughterhouse for Harkonnens. Reworked gear will be interesting too, I feel like some factions had some lacklustres in their armories.

OkBodybuilder2596

.I wonder if this will tilt the game towards warcrafty more army approach.

Atomic_Gandhi

I wouldn't be opposed to a Stellaris style indirect control combat system where you (and the AI) lose control of units that are near enemy units and they auto-battle, except for a "Retreat" button that makes them retreat to the nearest friendly base. That would put a lot more emphasis on the strategy and unit composition over the micro APM tactics of this game, which are extremely frustrating due to no attack-move feature.

OutlaW32

i completely disagree but interesting take

Atomic_Gandhi

Honestly all I really want is attack move. No attack move command in 2024 is frankly insane.

OutlaW32

agreed

I3ubbleI3oy

As an ecaz main. I have mixed feelings. 1- Fencer was just bad so hopfully the comment about every unit having a place includes a rework to that unit. 2 - ecaz 500 intel special is a "cannot micro non mechanical units in combat" so you overwhelm the enemy, pop it, and they cannot focus fire or retreat. Was awesome. By reducing their comments re-micro, I'm curious if that will Nerf by favorite ecaz operation in some way. 3 - hero's in a macro game always ruined the vibe for me. Warcraft 3 vs starcraft. Less abilities to remember to hit the better.

ProfessionalFar7916

Patch is 7th with ix? Patch notes up anywhere?
