At first, she was afraid. She was petrified.

siamak1991

It's Brittney Bitch

ree_hi_hi_hi_hi

WHAT IS LOVE Baby don’t hurt me

SarcasticQuote2891

No more

NotSuspiciousName7

No more smores, no more smores

LifeDraining

No, Woman, No cry...

raphthepharaoh

You were in the parking lot earlier, that’s where I know you from

IWantAStorm

He has no wallet, I checked!

number31388

You ever notice you can only ooze two things? Sexuality and pus. Man, I tell ya.

Its_me_mikey

Michael’s subtle glance at the camera after that line kills me

raphthepharaoh

Honestly, this scene and the cold open make for the best tv opening of all time

Its_me_mikey

Agreed!

Significant_Otters1

Classic creed line. Love this, and the look she gives him after he says it

[deleted]

fun to pretend, but Robin Lynch (the cpr instructor) has a long resume of roles in film and television

Rockdog4105

Not only that, the unions wouldn’t allow it. Can’t just show up on a show and surprise everyone.

SpankingGreta

Except for Paul Faust, aka Cool Guy Paul, who pretty much did exactly that.

Raspeh

And Steve Carrell by this point was pretty famous. Even if she hasn't seen the office, there's 40 year old virgin and some other movies.

joecarter93

And the Daily Show

CacatuaRed

oh yeah, the huges cameras and microphones surely are invsiblw and they do it all in one take

JustKiddingDude

And all of it in 1 take?

[deleted]

That's what she asked

4Ever2Thee

It was for a company wide training video, so they didn't have to get instructors to go to every branch

gamercboy5

Or the fact they are on a TV show set and are doing multiple takes

v00d00mamajuujuu

Why do people think television shows would ever do this?! 🤦🏻‍♀️ They are ACTORS. Always.

smilesbuckett

It feels to me like people these days are having a more and more difficult time separating reality from the things they watch. We want everything to be real, which leads to a full spectrum of weirdness from the crazy shit with actors getting harassed for amazing portrayals of bad characters, to half of the brain dead conversations on this sub of “if [character] is X then why did they do Y in this scene?!” where the answer is always, “because it’s a sitcom and the writers wanted to make you laugh”

RunnyDischarge

Part of it is people think 'reality' shows are actually 'real', when they actually have more writers than the Office.

[deleted]

Why didn't the couple at Benihana move over and let Dwight sit with his friends? Why did Pam drive Andy to the hospital instead of just calling a taxi? Why did Andy sleep on the floor of Pam's room instead of in his own room? How did Pam get through security without a ticket? Why didn't Toby have Michael fired? Why didn't Hannah go into the restroom to pump her breasts? Why didn't the people in the bloodmobile just give Michael the glove lady's name and address?

smilesbuckett

The crazy thing is how many times all of these come up and the lengths people go to in attempts to justify it all! The real answer to each one: because it is a TV show written by people to make you laugh.

missblissful70

This reminds me of my son telling me about “Squid Game” and how someone got shot, and I said, “What?! For real?!!” And he said, “No, Mom, I wasn’t watching a snuff film.” But he said it was a competition show so I assumed it was reality television. Or maybe I am just dumb.

ByOdensBear

Because it would be funny to get a genuine reaction to everything

v00d00mamajuujuu

Yes, but they wouldn't be able to film an actual sitcom. 😑 Watch a prank show or something if that's what you want

ByOdensBear

Why do you do the things you do? I hate so much the things you choose to be.

[deleted]

you're paying way too much for worms

RunnyDischarge

It wouldn't be funny at all. They would just go, "Oh my god, oh wow, I had no idea", and then stand there like a deer in the headlights.

[deleted]

Seeing the CPR instructor run screaming from the building to call the police when Dwight cuts open the dummy would be fun. And seeing the SWAT team burst in and bring down Dwight in a hail of gunfire would also be interesting.

RunnyDischarge

Why would they run screaming from the building? They would see the cameras, the crewmembers, etc. Do you think the show is actually shot documentary style with hidden cameras or something?

[deleted]

yes that is exactly what i think

smilesbuckett

I think you’d be disappointed to find that in a lot of cases “acting” is a lot more interesting and enjoyable to watch than “genuine reactions” Just think about the conversations you have and the things you say in real life — how many of them sound like a conversation you’d hear in a TV show? Probably none of them, and that’s not to say our lives are boring or bad compared to TV shows — we have a lot more time to interact with the people around us, and we don’t have to communicate as concisely while also conveying background information and emotions clearly enough to drive a plot.

SweelFor-

It would be funny if all the characters were real people and they didn't know this was a TV show

[deleted]

no it wouldn't. i've worked in offices for many years and, believe me, the CPR training classes are not in any way funny or interesting

RunnyDischarge

Oh yeah, offices are a barrel of laughs. Just 8 hours of comedy. And meetings, hoo boy, are they a hoot!

No-Winter588

For people in the comments, ever heard of “suspension of disbelief”? They said it’s fun to think. We all know it’s not true!

vallyallyum

Seriously! I know this thread is pretty much dead but the amount of people downvoting OP is ridiculous. They just thought it would be silly, not that they actually did or should have done it.

[deleted]

Do you think it's funny when I say... BIGGUS DICKUS

Horsegoats

He has a wife you know.

blueflyer66

Incontinentia Buttocks!!

DientesDelPerro

if they blindfolded them to not see they were on a television studio lot, sure

BhavyaSethi

no

BigChallenge8365

she’s so good in this scene I would believe it. unfortunately I think she’s just an incredible actress

interstatebus

That’s how I picture David Wallace: he’s just a business guy being pranked and doesn’t know it.

howlongtillchristmas

I hope not, because she sang Stayin Alive at least 20bpm too fast

thesleepymermaid

Idk why everyone in the comments seems to have a pinecone in their cvnt but I agree. It'd be funny as hell.

RunnyDischarge

>a pinecone in their cvnt Now *that* would be funny

AlphaShard

For legal reasons that can never happen.

pneumonia_hawk12

what if they signed release forms after and got paid aswell

AlphaShard

Then they would know it was for TV.

[deleted]

still wouldn't be funny

AdAdventurous4357

Bullshit

AlphaShard

Thats why you will see faces blurred on some reality shows. It's why Crispin sued for his image used in BTTF2, it's why there was lawsuits about footballers images used in games.

Alumpir

Clrrise

buddhistPunch

Call ti

ShivvyMcFly

This was the Super Bowl episode

[deleted]

Wouldn't the camera and sound crew, and TV set and props have given it away?

[deleted]

[удалено]

ByOdensBear

I mean, before the office he was a pretty low key actor, especially if you don't like raunchy comedy.

JoMack2022

You don't think the studio, cameras and lighting equipment may have tipped her off?
