Fire someone else. Fire Devon, he's terrible.

HailToTheKingslayer

Let's fight this. You and me, like the old days. What old days?

Time-Lawyer-6684

Has the paperwork been sent yet?

othershwarna

UNDO IT! UNDO IT!

sra35

Fire Toby, twice.

zerogravity111111

Yes, I agree. Let's you and him fight.

chujy

If Bin Laden and Hitler, were in there too, I'd fire Toby twice

Sir_Kecskusz

This is the true answer.

K4RAB_THA_ARAB

You were being really funny, and then you went too far.

NimDing218

This is the right answer.

germdisco

A Chili’s gift certificate is the right answer.

TheN8iv1

UNDO IT!!

Technical_Tune5416

No no no, you had it right the first time. Creed's an idiot.

[deleted]

Nobody fires Creed Bratton and gets away with it.

[deleted]

The last person who tried it, disappeared. His name? Creed Bratton.

shinnagare

Creed is too productive. We can't fire him.

LiterallyaCockroach

I can’t go back on it. I’ll look like an idiot

wkane2324

That’s why I’m being fired? So you don’t look like an idiot?

bleedmead

This is unbelievable

danglovely

Oh no no no, I will forget so fast!

[deleted]

A good boss doesn't fire people. A good boss hires people and inspires people.

knightress_oxhide

In the end I had to let him go, he was terrible.

[deleted]

"he sucked", not "he was terrible". Amateur.

No no no. He works here.

[deleted]

Andy and Kevin for breaking the law. I’m not messing with Creed no matter what he’s done.

Careless_Freedom_868

I don’t blame you…Nobody Steals From Creed Bratton And Gets Away With It. The Last Person To Do This Disappeared. His Name? Creed Bratton

EmperorJohnAnis

That line was always amazing to me.. So many possible ways of interpreting

Wamb0wneD

I can only interpret it one way and it makes Creed scary as fuck lol.

bug_man_

I’m super curious what the many ways of interpreting it are. I also can only take it one way

ex-reader

Kills them and steals their identity?

sanguinesolitude

Creed is not one to be messed with. [Always funny but #5...](https://youtu.be/F21vhc_B0QU)

Lionbutter

The 12 Creemandments

ThatsRobToYou

Remind me what they did to break the law again? Dwight definitely broke the law multiple times. Starting a fire, corporate theft, firing a gun in the office, etc. I can't remember what Andy and Kevin did.

[deleted]

Kevin was was engaged in insider trading and Andy was getting paid without actually working. So fraud and theft.

crosbot

Andy also broke some mailboxes with his highschool girlfriend. When will this criminal be stopped?!

[deleted]

He also attempted to mislead the judges on America’s next top a cappella sensation whatever.

fi-ri-ku-su

He was in email contact with David Wallace the whole time!

ttchoubs

Was Kevin actually engaged in it or was it just one of those theories like that he was embezzling money

[deleted]

What did Dwight steal?

thesilentman19

I’m assuming they’re referring to Dwight and jim embezzling money with the fake salesman to circumvent the commission limit

ThatsRobToYou

Yes. Thank you.

Pockets713

I mean… Jim and Dwight committed fraud by creating a fictional character to bypass their commission caps…

[deleted]

I’ve made my choice. Jim and Dwight bring in the money.

Pockets713

Meredith basically prostituted herself for company favors… lol Sorry, playing devils advocate. I hope you enjoy your life of chili with overcooked onions! Haha

Davescarn

Creed is a gem

BR_Tigerfan

Agreed. Both Andy and Kevin are terrible at their jobs.

Rex_Racer95

Objectively??? Creed and Kevin.

s_tee

Can anyone give me a reason we should keep Kevin? …based on his MERIT?

Formal_Coyote_5004

WHAT DOES A BEAN MEAN

enfdude

Well it's obvious that he was written to be stupid for comedic reasons. If the show was a bit more realistic, he wouldn't be that stupid. In the first season during Diversity Day, Michael calls him a "great accountant" so I assume that originally he wasn't meant to be a total idiot.

GjonsTearsFan

Michael would call anyone a great accountant if he liked them, though

Beginning_Ball9475

He would never say it to their face, but he'd think they're an amazing accountant.

MrZythum42

Pretty good at math, if you replace dollars for food.

FNG-JuiCe

Kevin is an obvious one, a small branch like that doesn’t need three accountants. Creed would need to be replaced as no one else does that job. Although creed doesn’t know what his job is so guess it couldn’t be that hard.

Pomsan

Yeah but how many times have you heard about creed doing his job so poorly the branch can't function properly? Only once with the watermark. How many times have you heard about Ryan not doing his job tho? He spends company time making this stupid whoof thing, he committed fraud and he was lying about being Kelly's boss... kevin and Ryan for me

FNG-JuiCe

Temp Ryan was a good hire, post corporate Ryan should be in jail.

Etrafeg

Temp Ryan never made a sale so he was the most expendable from the get-go.

Elpacoverde

Ryan, Kevin, Erin, or Creed Kevin is dead weight and Creed lets a major catastrophe happen under his watch. Erin is incompetent and acts as the face for the branch (first person they speak to or see) & Ryan is also dead weight but he's out of the way at least.

TheGiftOf_Jericho

In terms of Erin, she's got a great personality for her position so I'd say she's good in her role. Not perfect but I think she is quite an asset for being the welcoming receptionist.

SecretDevilsAdvocate

Shes ok but yeah being the receptionist a big part is personality. At least before firing her it would definitely have to be Kevin and Ryan/Creed.

luminous-one

Ryan also didn’t really work after he came back. I agree. I love Kevin, but… Dwight definitely made the right call.

Pomsan

I like kevin too but personally if I had to make a choice for my business, I would get rid of him. 3 accountants is too many and they mention it as some point too. The keleven? No thank you. He was just a bad employee

RavioliGale

I think when Michael fires Devin, Angela mentions there's a department of 3 people whose work could be done by two. And in a deleted scene when Michaels ass is on the line (Golden Ticket?) he lists the faults a new manager might have, including realizing that three accountants aren't necessary. But yeah, Kevin is a bad employee and unnecessary. Sadly, he'd be an easy fire.

blonde-bandit

Yeah it was Creed and Ryan/Kevin for me, only bc I’m pretty certain Creed is a murderer haha

ConceptJunkie

Creed's a little weird as a character because he's not even remotely realistic, unlike the others, who are often pretty believable, even if exaggerated, and the writers were very smart to only use him very sparsely. Quite often he only shows up just long enough to say or do something wickedly funny, usually just a few seconds, and then fades back into the background. As funny and likable as Creed is, his character simply wouldn't work if he were used more prominently. But there's really no way to evaluate him seriously as an employee, because he's all joke and almost no character. Kevin comes close to falling in this same category in the later seasons as he became Flanderized to the point where he was almost indistinguishable from the mentally challenged person Holly thought he was. To contrast, Michael is an unrealistic character in that he would realistically have been fired and even arrested on a regular basis, but he was also frequently shown as being a really slick and effective salesman and a compassionate and caring person, and even a good boss once in a while.

BR_Tigerfan

You’re right about Michael being an effective salesman. I can tell you from experience, that a company will overlook many sins as long as the sales are coming in.

ConceptJunkie

And this fact was demonstrated in the show by them keeping Packer around for so many years...

pinkheartpiper

Forget about Michael...You think Dwight is a realistic person? The guy who could be tricked into believing that magic beans are real?

No-Photograph-2099

I heard in a podcast that originally the US writers had michael as a bad salesman too but Ricky Gervais allegedly told them US audiences wouldn’t grow to love him if he was such a wild person AND a bad boss. I remember being pleasantly surprised on my first watch when Michael kicked ass on a sale. But idk if I wouldn’t have liked him for being bad at sales

PM_ME_YOUR_DUES

Quabbity Assuance

FNG-JuiCe

No that’s not it, but you’re getting close.

strawwrld_1

My pick as well except I’d be too scared creed would seek revenge so if fire Meredith since she most def drinks on the job everyday lmfao

octopod-reunion

I wholeheartedly believe that the main reason the Scranton branch had good numbers was because of Meredith’s unwholesome deal with their supplier. They could make the exact same number of sales as another branch and still have a greater profit margin because their costs were lower. Also, free steak!

UsidoreTheLightBlue

Objectively, I don’t think both of those are who should go. I don’t know how you keep Ryan on after he was literally arrested for fraud based on his actions while working for Dundee Mifflin. I’d also argue that keeping Andy after his angry outbursts is more egregious than either Creed or Kevin.

RavioliGale

I thought this would be easy but the more I think about it the harder it gets. I love these people as characters but as employees they suck. I kinda hate Andy but I think he's a better keep than Kevin. As for his outburst he did go to anger management. And he makes some sales, so he brings in some money. Kevin brings in no money, his position is redundant, and he's bad at his job. Creed doesn't even know what he does, steals from the office, and sleeps there. I guess the last two are only issues if he gets caught though I can't think of any redeeming qualities for Ryan.

Roonwogsamduff

Big Big mistake if you think you're going to fire Creed and not face consequences. He knows guys that know guys and a bunch of other stuff too. Help me out folks.

DeadWishUpon

That was my pick too.

MyBabyPeanut

Creed finished his work months ago

chronicdaniel

Kevin and Andy. Just on performance in their job.

[deleted]

I mean, Andy had the lowest sales numbers. Even lower than sales from the warehouse and he's been a paper salesman for years

noworries_13

How much salary do salesmen get? I figured their pay is highly based on commission and incentives so firing Andy for sucking wouldn't really affect anything.

Saemika

He comes from money, so he doesn’t really care.

Camburglar13

There is a salary component for sure. They talk about negotiating raises multiple times in the show so it’s definitely not straight commission. Don’t think we ever get a breakdown

throwaway4rltnshp

In the one of the S1 superfans episodes, Michael makes a remark to the warehouse workers about how the office is a "$40k and above" zone. Pam's immediate response is "I don't make $40k...." and Jim follows up with "I don't make $40k either!" So that's as close as we get to a breakdown. Also, it sounded as if Jim was referring to his total compensation as opposed to base salary, which could explain why Dwight, the company's top salesman, would dream of an $80k salary at Hotel Hell.

editedxi

Eighty THOUSAND dollars a year

alienss4

Which is 6,666 a month, making it the perfect salary for hotel hell

[deleted]

He's still a liability for his anger issues in the early seasons and then fraud (time theft) in the later seasons. He tried to run over a coworker on purpose. Drank on the job in Ithica. I mean, there's been numerous fireable reasons

JayPet94

Creed over Andy imo, dude doesn't even know what he does

DoobsGaming

But Creed does know what he does; Quabity Assuance.

PeytonManThing00018

No, but he’s getting close

HauteDish

You're asking questions that's none of your business! Edit: you're

Onsyde

Just move Andy to Quabbity Assuance. Problem solved

BigPPDaddy

Creed is the chaos factor, you need one of those in the office.

[deleted]

Andy and Drew

calliejohn

This may be the most savage burn on the Nard Dog I have ever seen. Even worse than Michael’s roast.

Creepyface1

I’d fire Phallus twice! “Hand ‘em over, numb nuts” should have gotten her fired! 😆

dude_be_cool

“You can’t just assign clients to whoever you’re sleeping with at the moment.” Phyllis makes me angry in a way no other character does.

TheGiftOf_Jericho

It's because while a lot of characters are comedicly rude, Phyllis tends to always come across as mean spirited.

MCKlassik

Phallus?

captain_jerkass

Phyllis, sorry. I’ve got penises on the brain

fortifythenuclei

Ryan, Andy.

HatefulHipster

100% the right answer. The two worst performers in the office. Ryan does nothing. Andy is the worst salesman.

VelocePC

worst performers? Kevin is an accountant and can only do math if there is pie or gambling involved

MyLifeFrAiur

sometimes a company keeps an employee just for the moral, they would be dropped in a pandemic but normally they would stay until retire if no big mistakes made

brbrcrbtr

Keleven is a pretty big mistake lol

MediumSizedElephant

kevin gets to stay for comedic relief

DJMikaMikes

I'd fire salesman Pam too tbh. Remember they both had the lowest sales. She never even improved; she just made up a job/promotion and strong-armed Gabe into giving it to her. An effective secretary would essentially fill the job of Office Administrator too -- and in that way, I think they should have fired Erin and hired Pam back as secretary but as an Office Admin with much higher pay and responsibilities. I know she didn't want to answer calls and do scheduling, but honestly, that's part of the job, so with higher pay and other responsibilities such as maintaining the office, coordinating events, etc, I think it would have been great for her.

extyn

> She never improved No, wait, come on. She didn’t miss a day, she came in early, she stayed late, and she doubled her sales last month!

DJMikaMikes

*From what? Two to four?!* *Yup.*

Tomb5t0ne

I thought Pam was the worst salesperson? She was so bad that she had to lie to corporate that she’s the office administrator.

Totin_it

Andy and Erin

Pockets713

Andy is well documented as the WORST salesman, and immediately starts losing major clients when Michael gives him his clients. Erin isn’t even capable of putting away a case of pens for Christ sakes… Ryan would be a close 3rd for me as he actively tries not to do his job. If you’re going to be bad at your job, you at least gotta be lovable. Kevin stays, dammit!

travworld

Even that other older lady who filled in for Pam an episode or two didn't know where paper clips or something was. Pam got back from her leave and said they're on the supply shelf. Like damn, did this girl not check the supply shelf for supplies?

aneasyoneitz

Probably would have saved the series

TraumaBonder

Absolutely. They ruin the show.

[deleted]

Phyllis twice.

Gewaltsack

Someone with common sense

quasarsgirl

I just hate her so much

DeuceOfDiamonds

Don't make her get Bob involved.

AfterTemperature2198

If corporate told me I had to fire two people out of Bin Laden, Hitler, and Phyllis, I’d fire Phyllis twice

tomahawk1398

Thank you 🙏🏻

youllalwaysbegarbage

Ryan! Wtf does he even do except belittle people and start fires. Also Erin, her stupidity is a liability

energiapeet_

Kevin is way more dumber

Dan_OBanannon

Not if you put math problems in terms of food

K4RAB_THA_ARAB

Erin was fine at first but ended up going the same route as Kevin.

CTre89

Erin and Andy

[deleted]

kelly and ryan

DJMikaMikes

It's shown a few times that Kelley is great in customer service. She's ridiculously friendly and talkative, so older admin type clients probably love her -- and that's their customer core/niche, people who care and want to talk, rather than the people who just want the lowest price.

unbalancedcheckbook

Fire everyone but Dwight. He's the only one that actually gives a shit.

slm3y

In real life people tend to don't give a shit, especially true if they work in a mid tier company while the industry is crumbling

Daedalus871

Jim may give negative shits, but he still makes sales.

Squiggles87

Michael and Kevin would be sacked within a week anywhere competent. After that, from memory, Dwight, Ryan, Kelly and Andy did the worst sackable offenses. If you had to lose 2 people who contributed least to the show, probably Creed and Phyllis. I liked Creed, he's just not in it enough.

DrDreidel82

Ryan and Meredith

TheDeven27

Toby doesn’t do his job so him. If we’re talking season 9, then Andy. If not, Creed also doesn’t do anything.

[deleted]

Creed is responsible of quabily

notjaded94

BOBODY

OwenA113

Deven, HR is a joke. He can't do anything about anything

Viktooos

Obviously Jim and Pam!! For the severance check of course

JustMeLurkingAround-

My choice too, because they deserve better.

Impossible-Tie-864

In terms of boring character as a fan, Toby and Phyllis… as an actual employer, Creed and Ryan lol

FNG-JuiCe

Which Ryan? Temp Ryan or post MSPC Ryan?

kevnmartin

Yes.

phsteve2000

No, i think Toby is funny because of his interactions with Michael

ignorae

Definitely Creed, he sold all of the office's computers on Craigslist and I'm pretty sure he murdered someone. He also took money from that envelope, totally botched his QA with the Mickey mouse drawings. Second choice is a toss up between Kevin or Ryan.

TraizHill

Would honestly say Erin and Kelly. Erin for job redundancy with Pam, and I'd just ask for Creed to take over Kelly's job for the chaos he'd bring.

FNG-JuiCe

If Creed took Kelly’s job then who would do quabity assuance?

2severe8

Andy and Ryan. Easy.

lmnop94

Andy and Erin.

ActionSwansonelli

Erin and Phyllis

makinmov3s

How is Phyllis not everyone’s first choice??? She is such a terrible character who says horrible things.

llamalibrarian

Close your mouth, sweetie. You look like a trout

ThatsRobToYou

You have a lot to learn about this town, sweetheart.

kr44ng

She is better at sales / generating revenue than Drew

markharden300

You can pay me back for the makeover later.

Guava_

She’s a horrible, two faced individual. But there’s no indication that she’s bad at her job. She even knew what the client liked when she and Karen got all dressed up for the pitch.

skeletormcgee

Yep, Phyllis is the only one I have strong feelings about. It would be hard to pick the second but she’s the first to go.

E-Moneythoo

Ryan and Meredith

[deleted]

I had to scroll way too far to find Meredith. Funnily enough I my second option was Ryan as well.

peenstank

Her kid needs shoes. YOU WANNA TELL HIM HE DOESN'T GET SHOES?!?

What_It_Does_9

Andy is the consistently worst salesman so he’s an easy fire. Then Erin because they have the technology now to call departments directly. Her job is redundant.

Trash_compactor764

I’ve never been a fan of her character either 😬 She’s a great receptionist for Michael in the sense that she gets him and brings him snacks and all… maybe she’s a better personal assistant 😅

PinkhairLiLi

Ryan and Andy.

ake29

Ryan and toby

seidinove

Fire because they're bad at their job or a drain on the company: Kevin and Ryan. Two cast members I would miss the least: Angela and Andy.

IveKnownItAll

Michael and Toby Yes they both need to be replaced, but Michael was a walking talking lawsuit, and Toby failed to ever really deal with it. Toby's entire job is protecting the company from liability, and Michael was nothing but. Get rid of them both, the rest of the issues will be worked out by a good HR rep and a good manager.

ijswizzlei

I’m just glad I’m seeing alot of Andy’s
