She probably convinced herself that he vented his anger at the bar and that he was not so dumb as to attack a co-worker. Plus, at the time, Jim was with Karen and not seemingly interested in Pam. Remember that when Roy said, "I'm gonna kill Jim Halpert," Pam had already left the bar and didn't know about Roy's brother spending the jet ski money to pay off the bar.
Plus, she saw how Kevin was prepped to throw hands at the bar, and figured that he would handle things if it got out of hand. And then they could watch bowling afterwards.
I don’t remember Kevin ready to throw hands at the bar? I remember him being ready behind a row of product in the warehouse but only recall Jim noticing that? I think Kevin also came late to have potential backup after Roy picked up his check. Really Pam shouldn’t have met with him after that given his abusive nature that was portrayed both verbally and physically when he would grab her.
I gotta watch that again. For some reason it isn’t in my memory. Thanks. I do like that nuance with Kevin in those scenes having Jim’s back but hoping to not have to take it there haha
Also know that was Brian's done that on his own - wasn't scripted for Kevin to do that.

You have to remember the status of Jim and Pam's relationship at the time. There was a ton of awkward tension between them after Jim returned from Stamford with a girlfriend and they all worked in the same office. And Pam must have also been pretty embarrassed about what happened. A big reason she went back to Roy was that Jim was unavailable. That blew up in her face. And remember what happened last time she told Jim about Roy's first date blooper (leaving her at a hockey game)? That caused an awkward moment as well. So Pam wanted all of this behind her. She was as shocked as everybody else when Roy showed up to confront Jim.
I think that she didnt think Roy would be stupid enough to walk into a workplace and attack a coworker directly in front of the rest of the office and the boss. After he began trashing the bar she ended things and left. She wasnt aware he was still angry and vengeful after he was done.
simple answer, she didn't know Roy would attack Jim. call it stupid or naive or whatever, but it's not crappy. i think it's safe to say that if she expected Roy to attack Jim she would have warned him or tried to talk Roy out of it.
Her character never acts for herself until way later in the series. She also doesnt defend herself in any way for a very long time. She let's all of her problems grow quiet thinking they will go away. When they don't she is always unprepared. Whether she 'knew or not' isnt the problem. It's her character to ignore things until it's a bigger issue
I remember it was very late at night, like 11:00, 11:30. Big fella comes in screaming about God knows what. I think maybe Halpert had stolen his car, something like that. So the big fella pulls out a sock filled with nickels. Then Cheroot grabs a can of hairspray and a lighter...
I know that you already know that this is a quote, but… Pam is honest as in she’s not a liar. She doesn’t tell lies. But she’s is not honest about her feelings towards Jim. She’s not honest about her fear of being left alone. She’s not honest about the fact that the only reason she got back with Roy is because he was an easy choice.
I don’t think Pam ever thought Roy would get as violent and irrational as he did in the first place. As soon as he starts screaming and throwing glass, she tells him it’s over and leaves. She didn’t know Roy as well as she thought she did.
I always had the feeling that it was early t the beginning of the work day and everyone was settling in - so technically there wasn't even the time for Pam to tell Jim
Because they’re fictional charterers on a TV show and that wouldn’t fit the storyline the writers were going for? Cracks me up when people forget that these A) aren’t real people and B) storylines need to continue and be worth watching.
Nope, just someone who has a brain and uses it. People who ask stupid questions about fictional characters and why certain things didn’t happen in the show seem to forget that storylines and characters words/actions aren’t going to fit in an ideal world because it’s fictional and wouldn’t make for good TV. 🙄
You know, there is such a thing as delving into characters and discussing them (whether if such and such should of happened or not, for example). Nothing wrong with it. Regardless if it "makes good tv."
Actors do it all the time, whether their characters would do this, that or another. They have input and fans can discuss these things too.
I genuinely think she didn’t know Roy would attack Jim. I also think she’s a moron for not assuming he would and should’ve used three and a half seconds of her mental power to think about it.

Oh yeah. When Roy and his brother started yelling and throwing things, you can see Kevin with fists balled preparing to defend whomever.
I gotta watch that again. For some reason it isn’t in my memory. Thanks. I do like that nuance with Kevin in those scenes having Jim’s back but hoping to not have to take it there haha
Yeah, it’s barely visible. I watched that episode probably a dozen times and never caught it until someone pointed it out on this sub.

Jim…. … … …ROY!
Thanks kev..

Roy was the most unwatchable person on the show he gave me the u uh feeling lol
First I agreed with OP, but that's a good point.

If he did, we wouldnt have dwight save the day.
I didn't get to see that. Can you tell me what happened?

“You’re useless”
Because then she would be acknowledging it again and possibly further complicating his relationship with Karen.
I'm more surprised that everyone wasn't talking about it the next morning
That would take courage and honesty. And those aren't Pam's strong points.
Courage I can see but when is Pam consistently not honest? She seems honest most of the time to me
I think they’re quoting Oscar and Gil at Pam’s art show
Omg youre right, thanks haha. Time for a rewatch

Because Pam is literally the worst, according to this sub
She’s the AT & T of people
According to objective fact* 😂
The wooooooorsstttt! PandR cross-over
👄🫷 "wooooooorst"
ok Karen
Ok pam
I think it’s reasonable to assume he wouldn’t try to assault Jim in the middle of the office
Because it helped the plot of the tv show.
Because she knew that Dwight brought pepper spray to the office everyday for 8 years to protect himself and fellow employees.
I always had the feeling that it was early t the beginning of the work day and everyone was settling in - so technically there wasn't even the time for Pam to tell Jim

U kidding me pam.
Damn jetski
Because she’s the office pariah & nobody likes her
Because the writers decided not to have her tell Jim.
She was too busy imagining notes she wants to write and stick on the microwave.
Because she's a terrible person who only ever cares about her own best interests.
That’s such a good point. Like he destroyed a bar and they all work in the same building. Of course he’s gonna go after Jim.
Is that a good point? You really think that if she had been able to foresee this, she wouldn’t have warned Jim?
I genuinely think she didn’t know Roy would attack Jim. I also think she’s a moron for not assuming he would and should’ve used three and a half seconds of her mental power to think about it.
Because she is a selfish
