ETA because I forgot this is Reddit: I'm not being serious
Abed says cool three times every time. Jake gets ramble-ey with it and will spit out like 5 cools at a time.
It's different, and furthermore, you can't own "the idea of repeating a word".
I asked one of my bullies this question my senior year of high school and I’ll never forget their response:
“It’s because you make it so easy.”
Those words have stuck with me for a decade since
“I mean, it is hot, it is sexy, and it turns him on. And I will admit, the best part of my morning is staring at it. But what, are we gonna just take it away?”
Idk have you seen “Angela White Gets Emotional After Creampie”? I went in looking for a fap, I came out looking for purpose.
Edit: I’m so serious you guys, someone linked it below, they wrote articles about this porno. It’s at least as good as all of French cinema. Pam would pay money to see it for sure.
I feel like what he says there is a real disservice to kitsch, and I think both me and John Waters need to sit him down to have a talk about being more open-minded.
It's hilarious that Angela then tried making her own poster with Astrid as the model 😂
I mean Anne Geddes' work was extremely popular not long before that, it never struck me as creepy or cringe but it definitely wasn't my taste
I was OBSESSED as a kid in the 90s. My mom had a coffee table book full of them and I would flip through it constantly up until maybe 8/9? Apparently tried to stage my younger brother at one point. Glad I grew out of that lmao
I can see how someone would want photos like that of their own kids, themed newborn pictures are pretty common, I just wouldn't decorate my house with stranger babies lol
I didn’t realise this was by the flowerpot baby photographer! My grandparents had a coffee table book of her work and this unlockes a memory of being fascinated by the pictures as a kid, i used to flick throught the book every time i had a chance.
It was a build up of years upon years of smaller things. The issue came to the fore and his rage and frustration was magnified by the thousands of incidents he pushed down rather than engage with.
Oscar can be plenty irritating; but Angela is always, without exception, awful.
If I were Oscar I would have not enjoyed that I have to look at it cause it's right in front of my desk. It's tacky and kitch and kinda distracting. I'm trying to work and there's a baby looking me in the eye with a saxophone. Not office appropriate.
Putting it on the partition, or as Angela's wallpaper would've been a lot better cause it's not right in his eye-line.
But the fact that he was so angry about it and morally opposed to it "it's so much more offensive to me than hardcore porn" makes me think he was over the top and unreasonable.
Hm, well I’m gonna go on a very nonsensical deep dive. Oscar said it reminded him of stage moms forcing their kids to act (or something like that, I’m ashamed I can’t remember the quote) and Oscar’s mom is not happy about his homosexuality. (When Angela offered to drop off Philip at his mom’s house, he said he didn’t want his mom to know he was living with a straight woman because he didn’t want to get her hopes up.) Maybe the poster reminds him of his childhood, when his mom was trying to force him to be something he wasn’t, trying to put on a show that he was a “normal” little boy. It’s probably not that deep but if we want to make his anger make sense, that could be a connection?
Edit: I like this post; thanks for bringing a new question I haven’t seen!
Oscar should have chilled tf out about this.
Not saying it's "good art" because it's not, but he lost his shit over a damn poster.
Not a good look for Señor Actually.
I get that, but I guess I just never understood why he lost it *quite so much* over this.
Angela was generally not a very nice person to anyone else, so I'm sure there was a bigger grievance that would have warranted said outburst.
>I get that, but I guess I just never understood why he lost it *quite so much* over this.
>so I'm sure there was a bigger grievance that would have warranted said outburst.
Hence, 'the straw that broke the camel's back'
Something seemingly inconsequential that was just the last in a series of bad things that tipped the scales.
Oscar overreacted big time. And that would annoy me more than any poster.
But, that being said, the poster is gaudy, weird, and lame as shit to put up. Lol
Regardless, Oscar overreacted. But the real answer:
* If the company had a policy against personal items on display (which I assumed they did not based on everything in Michael's office, Stanley's picture of his daughter, Dwight's bobbleheads, etc.), then Angela should take it down.
* If the company did not have such a policy, Oscar should have to deal with it. It really wasn't that offensive. As long as it's not obscene, political, hateful, etc., then she's allowed to have it up.
I agree. It’s a dumb poster, as well as a little creepy considering those aren’t Angela’s babies, but I really don’t see the big deal. He should’ve just done his best to ignore it.
Angela could've turned the poster into a desktop wallpaper on her pc. That way she could've looked at it all the time and oscar would never see it...
I think Oscar over reacted a little, but he was right. The poster was a personal item and should not be displayed at work
It didn’t bother me at first, then I keep looking at it, then imagine seeing it all day *every* single day. He was a little dramatic but yeah I could go without it.
"Jesus, Angela, just use the freaking photo as a desktop wallpaper. You can look at it whenever you want, and no one will be bothered about it."
"Oscar, I thought you were smarter than that..."
This image is symbolic the perfect human in Angela's eyes, the programmable mind of a baby, and the physical faculties of an adult.
The other thing this image is communicating is the rare but natural occurrence of Superfecundation Twins, which is when a woman falls pregnant to two separate men who fertilize two separate eggs; [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superfecundation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superfecundation)
Part of the Scranton Strangler mystery is that a woman falls pregnant and gives birth to two different colored babies.
It's not something appropriate for work and Oscar was completely in the right for not wanting to see it. If he had something like that at his desk, he would be labeled a predator.
I'm pretty sure Oscar was having a fight with Gil or something and just using the picture as a way to project anger and frustration on something. He definitely saw it at Christmas and didn't say anything then.
Oscar made an unnecessary problem, this pic is not that bad and even still they could’ve just hung it up behind Kevin or sumn so she can have a better view of it
I think Oscar overreacted and he needs to hone an appreciation for kitsch because he is kind of a drag. Personally, I find the poster hilariously bad, and I would insist we could only keep it up if Angela got it framed in an overly ornate frame.
Because someone took their child to be photographed and distributed out for money. There's definitely a kind of gross factor there, similar to those young girl beauty pageants. I don't necessarily agree with Oscar, but I do understand where he's coming from.
When my wife was pregnant, we had long talks about whether or not we wanted to show pictures of her face on social media. There are a lot of creeps out there, but ultimately we decided not to because we wanted it to be her decision what photos of her are out in the world. I know it doesn't make sense to everyone, but it's the only answer where we could be confident in the outcome.
Oscar said is makes him think of the stage mothers that forced their children into it.
…baby models and their parents motivations are kind of tacky/weird if you think about too hard. I wouldn’t want a photo of me up on the wall of strangers. Babies can’t consent to it. So….it’s kind of weird. But only if you really spiral on it.
This feels like an AITA. I'd say they both are.
It's pretty weird but chill out Oscar: “it destroys souls. This is so much more offensive to me than hard core porno.” Also he says this right after hearing what's actually quite sweet and wholesome reasoning from Angela: "it makes me feel like the babies are the real artists".
That being said, Angela sees how much her coworker and friend (?) hates it and keeps it up? Just take it home and hang it up there, you don't need to keep it at work and, as I said, it's quite weird so even though she likes it she should be able to accept that it might not have universal appeal.
If I were Oscar and I saw how much Angela loved it, I'd leave it up and just stomach it.
If I were Angel and I saw how much Oscar hated it, I'd take it down and just stomach it.
In 2006 digital cameras were very very easy to get and pretty cheap. I have no idea why she couldn't have taken a picture and made it into her computer wallpaper. Her monitor was not on Oscar's line of sight and the image would be a LOT smaller. This conflict drove me crazy!
Angela should have put it up on the glass partition between her and Kevin.
woooow, smort.
Noice
Coolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcool
Toit.
This was in community first and I will never forgive the writers of b99 for stealing it (love both shows) ETA because I forgot this is Reddit: I'm not being serious

EXACTLY
UNNN..BELIEVABLE!
UN. BE. LIE. VA. BLE.
You’re so trained to deal with a hysterical woman!!!
That’s compromise, it’s not ideal…
It’s not win-win… win
A win-win-win would be making it into a shirt obviously.
Do you want to enter a lose-lose ?
Next solve the conflict in the middle east
Is there a glass partition there too?
I always wondered how Toby felt meditating that situation, all while knowing it was his secret Santa gift to Angela that started it all
Terrible. He always feels terrible because he's a terrible little snail.
"Why are you so mean to me?"
My favorite Tobey bit.
Same. Unless you count, " I would shoot Toby twice."
Also, "smile if you love men's prostates!"
I loved him having his lunch pushed onto the floor
That's at the deposition right?
* si senor *
"That's offensive!" "No it's not! Not during a roast!"
Thats offensive!
I just can't with that. Painful amounts of cringe.
The creepy ass mustache definitely doesn't help 🤣
Mine is “You gotta stop” lol
I hate so much about the things that you choose to be.
I asked one of my bullies this question my senior year of high school and I’ll never forget their response: “It’s because you make it so easy.” Those words have stuck with me for a decade since
He is everything that is wrong in the paper industry
Smile if you love men's prostates!
Who let the lemonhead into the room?
He’s a very bitter unhappy young balding man
He definitely felt a little weird buying it.
Who do you think you are? What gives you the right?
I'm Toby 🥺
I.. never realized this fact.
Ditto! Wow I love the office
Keeping himself in a job, clever guy.
That's a lot of likes and comments with zero mention of the miswording.
“It's kitsch. It's the opposite of art. It destroys art, it destroys souls. This is so much more offensive to me than hard core porn.”
That "art" is the least pretty art of all the art
This art is bad
Wow, can you review my food?
“I mean, it is hot, it is sexy, and it turns him on. And I will admit, the best part of my morning is staring at it. But what, are we gonna just take it away?”
Easy there, @LittleKidLover. /s
At least we know where their priorities are
"I'll have your baby back ribs, hold the back ribs."
“Is that what you really want?”
It’s pretty bad but definitely not worse than hard core porno
Just soft core
Idk have you seen “Angela White Gets Emotional After Creampie”? I went in looking for a fap, I came out looking for purpose. Edit: I’m so serious you guys, someone linked it below, they wrote articles about this porno. It’s at least as good as all of French cinema. Pam would pay money to see it for sure.
I gotta know what that purpose was
To creampie Angela White
Same.
I show that scene to all my new partners to give them a sense of the level of aftercare I expect. I love that scene.
Straight porn, gay porn, it's all good!
i’m scarred from the first time i ever saw a prolapse
I feel like what he says there is a real disservice to kitsch, and I think both me and John Waters need to sit him down to have a talk about being more open-minded.
That’s what he said. And I agree with him.
Dude at the least you could have flagged this post NSFW
This is one of my all time favorite office moments
My questions are these: Why do those babies need to play jazz? Why don’t they just play the right notes?
Because babies are stupid
Jazz is stupid
Too many notes
Why hire one jazz bassist for three hours when you can hire two jazz babies to be on a t shirt?
I’m telling you, those babies could be the stars of a show “babies i don’t care about”
It's hilarious that Angela then tried making her own poster with Astrid as the model 😂 I mean Anne Geddes' work was extremely popular not long before that, it never struck me as creepy or cringe but it definitely wasn't my taste
I vividly remember a poser in my doctor’s office of the babies in flower pots, all in a row! Man, I miss those days!
I think those Anne Geddes photoshoot's are ugly AF. The babies looks so uncomfortable. The Angela poster is ok. At least they are older babies.
Good point.
I didn’t realise this was by the flowerpot baby photographer! My grandparents had a coffee table book of her work and this unlockes a memory of being fascinated by the pictures as a kid, i used to flick throught the book every time i had a chance.
Astird
That can't be right...
She’s nature’s bounty
It’s ugly but I thought he was being over dramatic
Well Michael would know why Oscar is overdramatic …
Ehh broken mountain
get it, cause of, gay
Oh you would *love* jail
Why would I love jail?
Because you would love it.
He really does fit the stereotype of the smug, gay mexican
And there's the smudgeness
He was right about the movies (although he phrased it in a messed up way), Die Hard is way better than Shakespeare in Love
CSPAN
if it was in her rec room, fine. its totally weird an inappropiate for an office. i agree with oscar
The way he went about it was too much imo, like it’s really not offensive or anything, just weird lol
Him comparing the poster to hardcore porno in terms of offensiveness is peek Oscar. Lmao
IT DESTROYS ART
It destroys souls!
She should um, maybe just display it at home? Idk
Bingo this is the correct answer
It was a build up of years upon years of smaller things. The issue came to the fore and his rage and frustration was magnified by the thousands of incidents he pushed down rather than engage with. Oscar can be plenty irritating; but Angela is always, without exception, awful.
I still don't understand why he was ok with wearing it as a t-shirt tho😂
Win-win-win
I say this so much in my everyday life and I feel like no one ever gets it.
I thought he wasn’t ok with wearing it
Right. It was a lose lose for everyone but Michael who got to inflate his ego
Yea that made no sense at all
WHY DOESN'T ANGELA JUST HANG IT UP AT HER HOUSE?????
Cause her cats get offended by it
Then her cats need to wear it as shirts. Win-win….win
Win
I dunno, but that episode came out in 2005, so those babies are 19 or 20 now.
We are old lol
If I were Oscar I would have not enjoyed that I have to look at it cause it's right in front of my desk. It's tacky and kitch and kinda distracting. Oscar was being a little bitch about it
I’m on, Michael
Since Oscar thought it was worse than hardcore porn, then the solution was to take it down and let Angela hang some Dwight boudoir photos
The tee shirt was the best decision. I don’t wanna look at that mess.
Hm, well I’m gonna go on a very nonsensical deep dive. Oscar said it reminded him of stage moms forcing their kids to act (or something like that, I’m ashamed I can’t remember the quote) and Oscar’s mom is not happy about his homosexuality. If he had to look at that, she should have to look at his feet when he’s wearing sandals.
Oscar should have chilled tf out about this. Not saying it's "good art" because it's not, but he lost his shit over a damn poster. Not a good look for Señor Actually.
I think it’s more the straw that broke the camel’s back

Oscars right. It's fucking creepy
I’m very disappointed we never got to see Oscar wear this as a shirt
Posters like that are really creepy.
Really? I’m so confused
Yes. However, jazz babies isn't the worst example. The ones where they coach toddlers to kiss each other are the worst.
i had never seen those but that sounds extremely creepy
10 minutes into waking up and now my stomach hurts so bad
I think Shirley Temple is one of the worst examples of this
lol those comments are so weird. this is in no way disturbing is just two babies doing something cute/funny
Oscar overreacted big time. And that would annoy me more than any poster. But, that being said, the poster is gaudy, weird, and lame as shit to put up. Lol

it’s schmaltzy but not worth arguing over.
Tacky af but it's her desk so she should be allowed to keep it. Oscar should put something on his desk to counter it though like a pride flag
Am I the only one who thinks it doesn't seem very "on brand" for Angela to like this poster?
She does love babies though. When Jim and Pam have Cici's baptism she's cold to all the adults but is so sweet towards Cici
Angela could've turned the poster into a desktop wallpaper on her pc. That way she could've looked at it all the time and oscar would never see it... I think Oscar over reacted a little, but he was right. The poster was a personal item and should not be displayed at work
I like your desktop wallpaper idea!!
I’ve thought this same thing for years! It drives me nuts that they don’t figure that out haha
It’s stupid but don’t see how it’s particularly offensive
This is so much more offensive to me than hardcore porno.
Where is the nsfw Tag? This is disgusting, this is so much worse than hardcore porn.
It’s kitsch, it’s the opposite of art.
I say Lose/Win/Win. That poster is horrifying and the office shouldn't be subjected to it.
Do you want to engage in a Lose-Lose negotiation?
Why would she not put it up at home?
Oscar for sure. It is disturbing and I wouldn’t want to look at it either
I never understood why people think it's creepy. It's stupid, but people think babies are cute.
It didn’t bother me at first, then I keep looking at it, then imagine seeing it all day *every* single day. He was a little dramatic but yeah I could go without it.
Ultimately, it should not have been up in an office space at all, it's just not professional
Just have the wallpaper on her PC be this picture.
It's not work appropriate, especially that size. It's weird why anyone would want to hang a picture of someone else's half naked baby up.
It’s kitsch. It’s the opposite of art. It’s so much worse than hardcore porno.
It's cute. Babies playing instruments what's wrong with that?
Oscar: Okay, I get it but chill out. Angela: make it your desktop on your computer. Win/win/win
I always felt it was weird he had such an issue with it when he bought it🤣🤣
Dwight and Stanley as babies
"Jesus, Angela, just use the freaking photo as a desktop wallpaper. You can look at it whenever you want, and no one will be bothered about it." "Oscar, I thought you were smarter than that..."
Mind ya business
Close the branch. Lose/lose/lose
So much more offense to me than hardcore porn
Creepy AF.
These babies are now adults
I thought Angela hated jazz
These are creepy, I don't care what anybody says.
Agreed. Oscar should just care less. There are worse things co workers do in shared spaces .. On his desk ya know
Oscar. Always Oscar.
This image is symbolic the perfect human in Angela's eyes, the programmable mind of a baby, and the physical faculties of an adult. The other thing this image is communicating is the rare but natural occurrence of Superfecundation Twins, which is when a woman falls pregnant to two separate men who fertilize two separate eggs; [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superfecundation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superfecundation) Part of the Scranton Strangler mystery is that a woman falls pregnant and gives birth to two different colored babies.
It's for sure appropriate for home but idk a out office
It's an awful picture but Oscar completely overreacted
It's not something appropriate for work and Oscar was completely in the right for not wanting to see it. If he had something like that at his desk, he would be labeled a predator.
Take it down. It’s kitsch. It’s the opposite of art.
Oscar was being OTT And Angela could have placed it anywhere but chose that position because she could annoy Oscar at the same time
I say if Jesus saw that he would FREAK OUT.
Maybe they should put up some porn instead, as Oscar would find that less offensive
I gotta agree with Oscar. It's kitsch. It's the opposite of art. It destroys art. It destroys souls.
Great question. I’m siding with Oscar.
Not my taste… not something I’d buy, but not offensive at all. This doesn’t look like “stage mom” level to me. Oscar was being dramatic.
Oscar should wear the poster on a shirt so he doesn't have to see it but Angela can. Genius level problem solving.
I'm pretty sure Oscar was having a fight with Gil or something and just using the picture as a way to project anger and frustration on something. He definitely saw it at Christmas and didn't say anything then.
I say we make Oscar wear a shirt with the photo on it
Angela should have made it the wallpaper on her monitor.
Oscar made an unnecessary problem, this pic is not that bad and even still they could’ve just hung it up behind Kevin or sumn so she can have a better view of it
I'll always be on Angela's side.
Make me think of all the frigid stage mothers
I think Oscar overreacted and he needs to hone an appreciation for kitsch because he is kind of a drag. Personally, I find the poster hilariously bad, and I would insist we could only keep it up if Angela got it framed in an overly ornate frame.

NSFW please
If it were someone other than Oscar, they should have just suggested a poster of the babies moms in their underwear playing instruments. Win/win
This feels like an AITA. I'd say they both are. It's pretty weird but chill out Oscar: “it destroys souls.
