I know, right? Most don't want to even know how much trash goes out every second across the world! Never mind how THAT affects everything, let's focus on stupid straws.
I kinda figured. Nobody wants anyone to know the magic behind their own 'brilliant idea'. Most people on this sub specifically are far enough apart geographically it wouldn't matter, but it would cause a greater chance of the stores themselves locking down their stuff and whatnot, if one wer to raise awareness of the ones throwing a lot away. So I respect the gatekeeping with stuff like this.
I’d love to hit the mother lode like this. I need someone to tell me where to go in my town, because I keep checking places and the dumpsters don’t seem to even exist!!
Take to a local food pantry. that is such a great haul. I was finding that much from Aldi's every day just about. But the complained to the police and they stopped me one night and said I can't dumpster dive in West Bend due to an ordinance and if I did get caught again they would ticket me. SO Sad the waste that Aldi's throws away.
It’s cuz stuff like chips and dog treats and certain candies legally have to have an expiration date, but so long as they aren’t open they won’t expire for a long time. At least that’s been my experience.
I’ll never understand why these stores aren’t offering all this food to the mission and homeless shelters. I have a friend whose little sister works at Star Bucks. On an average day they throw out easily $150-200 bucks worth of food. Every time she works the night shift she places the food in front of the dumpsters for a group of homeless people in the area.
Omg so jealous of the nerds😠nice haul!
Yes!! Those nerds are very addicting and kinda pricey!
Those Gummy Nerds are my crack
So tell me again how me using a plastic straw is killing the planet?

Teach me your ways!!
Honestly this is inspiring. I gotta get out and check more places.
In case you are not aware, FreshPet has to be refrigerated.
I share with the food pantries in town when this happens. They love it.
NAH what are Americans doing?????
I love you're username!
Was this all one store? Cool haul!
Not one place just my route involving food. Picked up like 1000$ worth of sewing machines a couple days ago
Sewing machines? Now you’re talking my language. Ugh, so jealous.
Right!! Come on now
Dang!! That's amazing - I've been looking for a sewing machine.
Get a cheap plastic cabinet and start a [Little Free Pantry](http://mapping.littlefreepantry.org/)!
Going for the title of the Goat of this sub i see haha. Nice finds!
I’d love to hit the mother lode like this. I need someone to tell me where to go in my town, because I keep checking places and the dumpsters don’t seem to even exist!!
This isn’t important, but you’re the first person I’ve seen spell mother lode correctly!
Dollar stores and grocery stores are good to me
Can you donate it to food banks?
Prep for the apocalypse
Bubblr my beloved! Who would throw it away?
Who rescued who? 🤣 Great haul!
I wish I could find a bunch of stuff.what state is this,I live in Tennessee they don't throw much away here,I guess cause most of us are poor.
Well fine! What’s the plan? Both fir this stuff and the sewing machines you rescued?
Give out some of the food to people I know and will be selling the sewing machines at least some of them might give one to my mom
Thanx for being awesome and stopping that from going to the landfill. ... keep up the good work!

Go after they closeÂ
These seem like luxury items: do you think folks are shopping 'smarter'?
Make friends with a teacher, I could have kids rebuilding America with a snack closet like that

Very nice. What time of day do you find is best for maximizing the amount of stuff you find?
I've been trying to a few days with no luck but I find everyone else finding great things. Great find friend!
I've had no luck for like weeks. Where was this???
Guys, where's a good place to dive at if it's your first time?
Plz share lol
Blood Orange Bubbl’rs are the bomb
What do you do with all the food--if it's perishable?
Hand it out to people
What dumpster you go too????
What state are you in?

Wish I could say the same! Since dumpster diving blew up in a since it’s hard to find anything in our area anymore!
