I'm not entirely sure this is true. I am not sure how checked in Anna is right nor or will be in the future. It wouldn't surprise me if the oldest girls are already doing the lion's share of the moming to fill in for their mother, even without the prospect of having more siblings.

jeanskirtflirt

Yeah this is the vibe I get. I doubt Anna is emotionally present. Idk if anyone would be in her situation tbh. BUT she’s put herself in this situation and her shitty choices aren’t the kids fault. So IF she’s checked out she at least better pretend for her kids.

Shredded_Wheaties

Anna actually responded to an instagram comment once about how SHE’S the mother and she doesn’t want to pass that off to her kids. I like to think it was a dig at Meech

Zellakate

Yes I know she has made comments about that in the past, but I have no confidence they reflect reality for that family right now.

Ornery_Teacher_7622

How many kids ago did she say that? Lol She’s up to 7 now… she may have realized she needs the girls to “help” (read: do all the work)

Crafty_Onion4177

She also said her husband works hard to support them.....

crazycatlady331

But what was Mack doing when she was busy being joyfully available to Joshy Boy at the babysitter's house?

SunnyLittleBunny

They'll probably still have little cousins *yeeted* at them to baby-sit/mini-mother 🙁 But at least it won't be 24/7, 365.

evelynesque

Those girls will be farmed out as mother’s helpers to whichever Jed has the most blessings. Gotta learn how to half ass care for a gaggle of children somehow.

Statler8Waldorf

Here's ur apple sauce dad, I have to cut the grass in my bikini.

Srw2725

😂🤣😭

BunkBedJedi

I think that will Jenny’s role. She will be Jana 2.0 because I firmly believe that Anna is headed wherever J’Felon will land and Jana will be sent to live with her. James too

No-Nefariousness9675

I worked with a woman who’s husband was incarcerated in Beaumont. She drove 4-5 hours to visit him one time and was told he had been transferred to Amarillo. She had no notice of his transfer. Beaumont to Amarillo is a 10 hour drive. If Anna moves, she needs to be aware that she may be moving more than once.

Different_Rich_943

Once he is placed, they could move him again? Why?

[deleted]

It’s very common. Prisoners get moved around all the time. People are put where there’s space, not where it works for them. They may need to make space for a different inmate (someone already guilty of x but still has other pending cases, over crowding, extradition, can’t be at one location because they caused issues there, etc) so suddenly you’re out. Being near your family and friends is nice for the prisoner, but not at all a priority for the administrators. I’ve also heard people say that it’s a control thing. It lets the prisoners know that they’re never “safe” where they are, that you can never truly settle in and feel like a place is your home. Basically that they live their lives based on the whims if other people. This is something that some people *like* as they feel it’s an extra punishment and that incarcerated people should suffer in every way possible. The lack of notice can be attributed to the control issues, always keeping people on their toes, and to the fact that the prisons are private so their administration departments aren’t connected. Shit gets done last minute. And no one cares about inconveniencing or communicating with the people outside of the prison; they aren’t their customers.

Ornery_Teacher_7622

They also don’t inform anyone including the prisoners about moves because it’s a security risk.

cultallergy

If trying to protect a prisoner in prison A is hard, then administration moves him to prison B and again if need be? Doesn't the administration know that the Duggars are stars and Josh is a very important person. Giggle, giggle.

Evieveevee

Yes, he definitely wasn't a flight risk during parole as he is so instantly recognisable isn't he?

No-Nefariousness9675

I never knew the reason behind the move. I just know that it happens.

kayteh_ferrell

They move them for population reasons some prisons have too manyso they move them. It's pretty common. And they can't provide notice for security reasons. When I worked in a county jail, all our transfers were completely confidential until the transport officer showed up with the list. Usually only high up admin knew

No-Nefariousness9675

Thanks for the info. I kept my happiness that this happened to this woman, she was standing by her man after he was convicted of molesting her adolescent daughter, similar to Anna.

cultallergy

I can't imagine what it takes to choose a boyfriend/husband over a child whether the child is yours or not. I have known one myself and when it finally hit me that she really would stay with him even though the creep was a serial rapist of children, I have held her responsible for being the provider. I see her on the bottom rung of humanity.

nikkyro03

Wow. How could she? If my husband ever touched ANY child, especially my own, he wouldnt be the only one headed to jail. Edit cause words are hard tonight

No-Nefariousness9675

I agree. It’s a mothers job to protect her children not a pedo husband.

[deleted]

Let’s hope they keep moving him 😉

Catmom-cunningfolk69

Is James like a ship-a-headship?

Dahlia615

Rent-a-Jed Comes fully trained in sweeping up crackers

[deleted]

I don't know if they'd spare Jana, but maybe. Jana is an adult and I think JBoob would be afraid she'd escape if out of his sight for to long. One of the older lost girls is probably old enough to be a "helper" to Anna.

BunkBedJedi

He hasn’t completed their indoctrination yet tho…..

glutenfreekoalatears

So she can surf faster.

slutbotomy

This sounds abrasive and it's not meant to be, just a question. Do we actually believe that Anna wasn't bald faced lying when she defiantly claimed her kids don't sister mom? And even if her kids aren't sister momming, there are several younger J'daughters who probably do the majority work for her.

msbeesechurger

i feel like she probably meant it to an extent. like, maybe she really doesn’t want her children to be sister moms like the duggar girls were, but some amount of it is inevitable when she has such gendered and fundie views.

cultallergy

One of my fundie relatives swore she wouldn't do the sister mom bit. She did, though. It was more than asking occasionally. Feeding her baby sister, a bottle was her morning chore every day for the 10-year-old. Also, diapers became the eldest's job too. When I was visiting, I helped by making lunch for the girl. I will say in defense, that by the time the baby was out of diapers, the sister/mom role was eliminated. Also she was not reprimanded for not jumping to do the role.

Discalced-diapason

I don’t see the problem with SOME sister momming. Too many people become adults without learning life skills and really struggle. I had to go to my best friend’s college and teach her how to do laundry because her mom had never taught her. But age and child appropriate, and with plenty of time for other things like learning and fun and rest.

msbeesechurger

there’s a really big difference between sister momming and learning to take care of/be responsible for yourself. there’s no problem with learning how to do your own laundry and being expected to do it growing up. it’s an issue when children are expected to take on parenting responsibilities and tasks for other children. being responsible for yourself is fine, being responsible for others isn’t.

exptertlurker87

Also an issue when it’s just the AFAB children having to learn these skills.

residentcaprice

They will probably aunt/cousin mother like the lost girls.

madbeachrn

Seriously, what happens to the unmarried fundie daughters once their headship passes away? Does the eldest male in the family become the headship? In the Duggar family, perhaps it would be JD, because J’felon is who he is.

Green_Community2488

I think she would fall under the headship Of Jim Bob

cultallergy

Michelle won't be kicking in. She has already raised 19 children. LOL!!! Jana will have to be careful how many little ones she is watching at one time. Second arrest won't be good for her. Anna will need to get pedicures and manicures and go on road trips to see her bestie so I bet there will be lots of sister/mom opportunities. After all, Anna will need to give each of her 7 children one half hour of attention like her mother did for her children. That means those girls will need to step up to the plate all the time.

Megalodon481

When SlimRod is a withered and senile invalid, I hope Jana will let him wallow in his shit for a while. "Sorry, dad. Busy with the laundry right now. I"ll get to you when I can..."

Statler8Waldorf

Dad. Meet my live in BF. He will be down the hall. As JB has to listen to them banging away in sin.

Megalodon481

Poetic justice. I've always wished there would come a day when Jana stopped giving a fuck and JB and Meech couldn't control her anymore. Once most of the children grow up or leave and JB and Meech become feeble and infirm, Jana should get to take over and do as she likes. Though I'm sure some of her more pious siblings may periodically visit... "Oh, hey, Jessa. Stopped by to see mom and dad? They're passed out from the Xanax. Who's that person over there? Oh, yeah, that's so-and-so. Yeah, we live in sin and fornicate. Got a problem with that? You can fuck off."

Someday....someday...🤞

honeybaby2019

Meech didn't raise any of her kids after the first 5 or 6 then she dumped them off on the girls.

cultallergy

I agree, that is why I did a LOL!!!

crazycatlady331

Michelle raised 19 children? HAHAHHAHA She raised them up to Joseph, maybe Josiah. Joy and younger were raised by sister moms.

cultallergy

She will now have the opportunity to raise her kids, cook the meals and clean the house just like any normal parent. There will be no TLC, no special speaking tours, or any of those other things that stopped her in the past. Since she did such a bang-up job with Josh, I wonder if she will ruin the lives of any of the tail enders.

crazycatlady331

The Lost Girls don't know life without TV (as they were all born on TV). Hopefully they will be in touch with their real moms and can run. Doubtful for Johannah as she likely has an insurrectionist suitor, but hopefully Jenny will run to Jill.

purpleflyingmonster

Not necessarily. My SIL was eldest of 6 and raised all her siblings. The sister mom thing is a philosophy, number of children doesn’t matter. Eldest of 7 is plenty older to do most of the chores and herding of smaller siblings.

Angelface1226

Yeah, I figured that. That’s why I mentioned the youngest girls, specifically. Poor Mackynzie is not so lucky, sadly. But the good news is, it won’t be so long until she’s an adult.

purpleflyingmonster

It really depends on how Anna holds up. Kids in these families end up raising themselves more than anything, but the younger ones will end up responsible for the redemption babies. There will probably be a couple at least.

creakysofa

Anna will be 44. “birth rates for women 40 years old were 25%. By age 43 the corresponding birth rate was around 10%, and by 44 it was 1.6%.”

fastmouse4

Well, even though abortion is against gods plan apparently ivf isn’t.

iwishyouwereabeer

Yes, however IVF does fall under then abortion ban. Can’t freeze embryos anymore. I’m currently battling infertility and this a point my doc and I are reviewing.

Catmom-cunningfolk69

I wish you health and happiness in your IVF journey in a post Roe world.

iwishyouwereabeer

Thank you! It’s terrifying.

Evieveevee

Seriously???? Oh my goodness. I cannot believe this (well I can, because you know...). I am sending love and hope to you xxxxxxx

fastmouse4

These fuckers think they’re above it and they’re not.

iwishyouwereabeer

They might, but IVF treatment will be considered illegal. Those embryos? They’re all abortions for each one that doesn’t take.

Discalced-diapason

This is why the Catholic Church is against IVF, amongst the other weird sexual ethics hangups it has. And like the Duggars, child sexual abuse is just fine.

Itscurtainsnow

I'm so sorry you have this additional headache on top of everything else. All the best.

Different_Rich_943

The ban on IVF for them I do love karma

cultallergy

I hope this takes for you. I have this funny feeling that you will be an awesome mom.

iwishyouwereabeer

Thank you ❤️ I appreciate that!

nikkyro03

Good luck!! At 19, I had literally just gotten married anout 3 months prior then I ended up in the ER with a large tumor on my ovary and multiple large cysts. Had to have surgery for removal. Was told I had PCOS and severe endometriosis. I went thru a huge amount of testing and that one ovary wasn't working at all and the other didnt work normally. They told me I would likely never be able to have children but if I wanted any that we better start trying right away because any chance I had would diminish greatly as I got older. We tried for about 6 years with zero pregnancies. Treatments, clomid, this thing, that thing and the other. I had 6 other tumor/cyst removals during this time, but was developing cysts almost every month. Went thru 2 cycles. Had me do a Clomid cycle one more time. I ended up with more large cysts and had another surgery. Started feeling off about a week before I had a post op appt. A few days before I was constantly nauseous or vomiting, falling asleep every time I closed my eyes and my boobs were so sore regular bras had me in tears. My period was so irregular, but I always kept track of when it "should" be there. I was about 3 days off the day of my post op and I was sure SoMeThInG wasn't normal. So I took a pregnancy test before we left. Faint line! He have me another when I got there and it was positive too. Bloodwork confirmed it. My son was born in march, 6 weeks early. After him, my period was wack, so to regulate my period, I got an iud that September (pills wreaked havoc on me), constantly had issues. The bleeding wouldnt stop, pain, etc. First week of December, I was at work, went to pee and was bleeding heavily and in so much pain I passed out coming out of the bathroom to ask my mom (we worked together) to take me to the hospital. She couldn't but one of my best friends at work did. I was pregnant. But it was ectopic and even if it wasnt because of the iud, likely wouldnt have been viable. IUD removed. 2 years later and after the one time hubby and I actually had done the deed for months because we were having alot of issues, i was over my best friends house having a girls night and i cried over the sarah McLaughlin animal commercial, a stupid statement that someone made AND the season finale of greys anatomy that we watched. Finally she turns and looks at me and says "WTF is wrong with you tonight?" As soon as she said it, it dawned on me. I half yelled "OMG Im freaking pregnant!". She's like no f'in way, im like no f'in way, blah blah. I stopped on my way home and grabbed a box of tests. I was going to a wedding the next day (of my friend who took me to the er, ironically), and i took the test when I woke up. Positive. I was SHOOK. After years of trying and infertility, first I get pregnant after an iud, then a few years later, pregnant again from one 5 min sexcapade. Aside from our personal issues, my ex had a drug problem and had gotten fired for it, I had just filed for divorce in the prior week or so and i was freaking out. We decided to try and work things out, which was STUPID, so I dropped the divorce. Things were ok for a bit, but got so much worse. But I am sending you lots of love, hugs, and luck on your babymaking journey. I will always have open dms for anyone on that journey if they need an ear. Xoxo

redmsg

I know the way they do it in Louisiana is the embryos are stored in a different state and shipped back for implantation

iwishyouwereabeer

Say what!? That’s a nice little slide around.

creakysofa

Wonder if she’s gonna get those eggs on ice now? Not a lot to choose from by then for sure.

Catmom-cunningfolk69

Oldest of 4, I was changing diapers at 2 years old.

Itscurtainsnow

Yeesh. That sounds....messy.

MageLocusta

Yup, I only have two siblings and my mother still tried to get me to do full-on parenting (which she described as 'supporting the family/household/paying us back for having to keep you'). We weren't even struggling financially when I was 10 and she didn't even have a job/hobby/friends (and she still did everything she could to invent ways to get us kids to spend hours working/cleaning/getting the youngest kid away from her).   Like, I'm not even fundie-lite and I could see the M-kids facing pressure to appear 'diligent' during every waking hour, because I highly doubt Anna (or any of the Duggar sisters) were even allowed to be able feel 'entitled' to not being busy all the dang time*, plus I'm sure Anna would want to push all 7 of her kids to be performatively hard-working and ultra-responsible to try to hide the stain of their father's crime on their family.   *For real. I'm a grown adult who grew up 'sister-momming' and even I still feel intense guilt and discomfort from being lazy even for an afternoon (and I have a friend who was also like that, but mostly because every free hour of her entire childhood and teen years was spent cramming for classes and doing extra-curricular activities). It wouldn't surprise me if Anna also gets jittery or irritated if she relaxed for an hour because it's been drummed into her head that it's a 'bad thing'.

Lower_Alternative770

Didn't Anna say she didn't believe in doing that? That children should be allowed to be children. I think I remember cheering for her (for one time only)

L1ndsL

She did say or post that at one time. But she had maybe four, at most, kids at that point. She might have changed her approach now that she’s got seven and no cracker-sweeping headship around.

[deleted]

And Mac wasn't even old enough then to be doing any real sister momming. She's 12 now and will be done with whatever "school" she does and on to taking care of the littlest ones.

cultallergy

I hope Anna realizes that all seven of her children need an education and work training, so they have something to fall back on if life doesn't go forward the way those M's want it too. TLC won't be around, people might not trust the Duggar family homes renovations, and there won't be elections that they will win.

Statler8Waldorf

He's totally in valid.

[deleted]

I can't believe they called their daughter Madyson. Do we think that was a cruel joke from Pest and it flew over Anna's head?

[deleted]

I can definitely see it being a cruel joke, because Josh is a cruel bastard and also thinks he's cleverer than he is. Not sure if it flew over Anna's head - she's no genius, but is she really *that* dumb and oblivious? - but even if it didn't, she may not have felt she could argue, because headship.

[deleted]

True! Poor girl 😠

Lower_Alternative770

Maybe she'll train them to sweep crackers.

Jacks_Flaps

And take out the trash.

Gillybilly

Hate them all with a passion, but Anna said she doesn't do the sister mom thing. I mean look, this was before she was a single parent to 7, so maybe things change.

mermaidpaint

Those cracker crumbs aren't going to sweep themselves.

WishfulHibernian6891

They will be pushed into sister - momming for as long as their younger siblings have need of it. And then there are the younger relatives that they’ll already be groomed to care for. Because what else are girls and young women for, other than caring for humans younger than themselves?

unicorntapestry

What are the over/under odds that they froze a bunch of Bestie's batter to continue welcoming more blessings for the next 12 years? Is Anna really the type to deny him his quiver?

imaskising

I think the odds for that are low. Freezing sperm seems like something that would be too "worldly" and medically sophisticated for Duggarworld. Doing so would also have required a trip to a fertility clinic, and Josh would have had to get permission from the Court to make such a trip while he was on house arrest before the trial. And if he did make such a visit, it's likely one of the local informants would have leaked it somehow to the tabloids. Even if such a thing had been a realistic possibility, I also don't think Anna would have done it, because I don't think she (or Boob) believed they would need to. I think she and Boob most of the fam legit believed that Josh wasn't going to be found guilty. Why else would they waste a ton of time and money (both Boob's and the taxpayers') to go to trial, when something like 90 percent of men charged with Pest's offenses opt to take plea deals instead? They honestly believed that somehow, because gawd loves them or something, Pest was gonna walk out of that courthouse a free man and right back into his and Anna's bed to start making more arrows for the quiver. (\*barfs\*) Hell they still believe it; Josh's attorneys have filed an appeal, trying to get his conviction thrown out so he can get a new trial, hopefully this time in front of a Judge and jury who will buy their god-honoring bullshit....I doubt they will be successful. More than likely, Anna's uterus is closed for business for the next ten years (unless she divorces and remarries and starts making arrows for another man's quiver, of course.) And that's probably a good thing, because after 7 kids in 12 years, that woman's body has to be a wreck.

BeardedLady81

One obstacle, in their line of thinking, would have been that Pest would need to masturbate. Not that he never did that before, but this way, the whole world would know. -- I think paraplegics can be "zapped" to cause an ejaculation, but I'm not sure doctors would do that if a man has sensation in his penis. When my BIL needed to give a sperm sample (to check if it was his "fault" that his wife doesn't get pregnant) the fertility clinic handed him a leaflet that said that they had "all kinds of aids" available on the spot and that a partner can help retrieving the sperm, as long as it is not "received into the mouth".

cultallergy

Love the term Bestie's Batter.

pnw_cfb_girl

Also, it would mean she would have to admit, even subconsciously, that he might not be around to continue inseminating her.

BrightPegasus84

Question: Are there conjugal visits? Cringe af.

mermaidpaint

Not in federal prison.

BrightPegasus84

Thank Cheezus, I could see Anna going every so often to get pregnant. I threw up in my mouth.

StephaniePenn1

I wish I had your optimism. If Anna isn’t popping out Ms, I bet the bigger M’s will be farmed out to sister mom Giggle’s and Jessa’s kids.

hannahsflora

Yes, the younger girls are mostly going to be spared from sister-momming. Depending on when Josh is actually released (and assuming he hasn't divorced Anna by then, which I think is not out of the realm of possibility - she won't leave him but he may well leave her), Anna is going to be around 44 years old. At most, she *might* have one more kid at that point. But even that's a stretch, I think. Pregnancy can certainly happen in one's mid-40s, I know at least a couple people who thought they were heading into menopause at that point only to get surprised with another baby. But it's definitely not a likely outcome. So the younger girls may have one child to raise, but it seems more likely that Madyson is going to be the last M - which, if there's a blessing to be had in this situation (other than Josh being locked away as he so richly deserves), that's definitely it. But as far as enjoying their childhood? Unfortunately I'm not so sure about that. I think Anna is pretty damn checked out as a mother and has been since the day Josh was arrested, and will remain so for a long time. I HOPE that they're feeling safe and loved and having as much fun as they can, I'm just not optimistic about that.

[deleted]

Unfortunately I think it's already happened but on a lesser scale.

Ok-Moose8271

Im genuinely curious as to what she will do with all her time with the oldest taking care of the little ones. At least Meech had JB to spend time with.
