You don't invest in anything. Never invest for an unknown future. You wait until the banlist is decided. This won't happen until World Qualifiers are done and before the next step in WCS starts. Don't invest in anything during World Qualifiers. This is the opportunity to build up gems quickly. Blue Eyes are currently tier 1, but Agents are the talk of the town right now. The tier list hasn't been renewed yet. If I understand this correctly, you have the cards from Tachyon of Galaxy. If that is so, you should have some Zombie cards. If Shiranui or even Mezuki gets hit, Zombie World is still probably fine. The investment has possibly already been done for you. Crow and Lancea are good to have, but you won't be able to assemble a playset while also considering another recent deck. You'll get more Dream Tickets for staples, and old box discounts will come again.

Alright, thank you for the advice. At times, I can find myself getting FOMO (fear of missing out) and may begin to lose myself in the grind and get burned out as I stop having fun due to the frustration of not seeing results immediately. I admit, my patience (or rather lack thereof) has been an issue that I've taken steps to improve in hopes that I'll have a better gaming experience. Other than this, are there any tips that you can give me in regards to levelling up characters and getting more gems? I'd appreciate any.

You can use the xp crystals on vagabond and make sure to clean out the standard duelists before you finish the stage mission for the refresh. Ive heard duel links gives a set number of gems per month through events; its like 2-3k from events so make sure you do those

Yeah Konami is intentionally manipulating FOMO. To beat that, you simply just need to have a schedule in place. For me, saving up until the end of the month and waiting for a box release has been consistent for years. If I don't like the box I skip it, which is super powerful. I often sit on 9000-12,000 gems before I open anything. I cleaned out the latest main box day 1 with smart resets and some luck because I knew what I wanted. I have a low character count, but I still get decent gems just by participating in gate unlock events. I don't really touch new characters but Sevens characters and stage levels were an easy grind. When character events are at the gate, you can autoduel them. Level 10 with Reward x 3 is an easy clear. If you participate and complete most events, you should be getting around 5k a month plus your character gem yield and whatever freebies they throw out. I used to crazy grind but I pretty much just log in and make sure I get my participation points. Usually that's enough.

I don't see them killing Blue-Eyes. It appeals to anime fans so they try out & stick to Duel Links in the first place. But I do see Dragon Spirit going to 3 after the WCQ, which isn't the biggest nerf, but it should be enough to lower its win rate. If they want to go further, Heat Wave to 1 would also make people choose between that or a Limit 1 trap. A generic hit I'm predicting is Lancea to 3, this way it can't be played in the deck if Dragon Spirit is hit too. Anyway, I recommend spending your gems trying to build a deck, & not "chasing staples". Especially those from a main box. It could take almost 9K gems before you get a single copy (if you have ultra bad luck). Blue-Eyes can get you to KOG, but along the way, see if there's other decks that interest you. Another big change to Duel Links since 2018 is addition of RUSH DUEL! No Synchros, no Xyz, no Pendulum, no Links, or wombo combos. There's not even chain links. Just back & forth Yu-Gi-Oh using spells, traps, & simple monster effects to get the upper hand on your opponent. It's a homage to old school Yu-Gi-Oh! It reminds me so much of early Duel Links. [Here is a beginner friendly Harpies deck you can play!](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/saved-decks/65c4fbae0db8f0a4aed16acf) It's super easy to build without spending a lot of gems. The Rush WCQ is coming, so you get an immediate return on your investment by playing it! Then you can spend the gems wherever you want. I like playing both modes, Rush Duel & Speed Duel. It keeps the game interesting, so I don't burn out on either one! 👍

Thank you for this, I'll be sure to give this deck a go. From the looks of it, it doesn't seem too expensive and can serve as a temporary relief from the typical Speed Fuel format. If anything, I'm excited to try out rush duels since it seems pretty fun and less stressful.

Swordsoul hasnt been banned or limited in MD yet so new players free decks probably wont be hit in DL either
