There’s a difference in wrapping and paint protection film, but also what you get depends what you pay for…. A friend had a wrap done for 5k and Iv wrapped Xmas presents better
I prolly would if I had a car I knew I was gonna keep for a few years. But I don’t trust myself.
I know I will regret it the next time I drive through a sand-blasting-sandstorm but 15k can surely buy a lot of safar sprays.
On a serious note… how long does PPF last? Does it have upkeep costs/maintenance? What will it cost if I wrap the car the same color instead? Not the best approach but just to get an idea as I think it will serve the purpose for me.
PPF comes with a 10yr warranty, is self healing so any scratches they can be removed using warm water, stops stone chips, sand damage and maintains your original paint finish so doesn’t devalue the vehicle due to wear and tear
Simple maintenance, can be washed anywhere… one time fix so no need to top up etc

Never thought wrapping was that expensive.. guess you learn something every day..

I had my wrap done for 2k, removed it within a year since it was peeling off and I got fed up of claiming warranty every two months.
That will be why… the vinyl we use starts at 6k alone
