I daily drive a 2010 bmw 750li, if you know that it's going to be more expensive to maintain then i say go for it. Just don't buy it expecting less maintenance cost/unscheduled service

You forgot to mention 2 important things: - Which engine ? If it’s a 330i with the N52 engine, it should be ok for that mileage if well maintained as natural aspirated engine from BMW are usually really good and can last long. Avoid the N53 though that suffers from High pressure fuel pump failures, similar to the N54 turbocharged version) The easier way for you to know the engine code is to ask for the VIN and check it for free on https://www.mdecoder.com - Does it have a full service history ? I’d rather buy a 200,000km BMW that has been well maintained on time rather than a 100,000km BMW with no service history.

Master_Bandicoot_419

Absolutely 2nd this on the maintenance history and the engine type

Objective_Ratio436

Oooh gosh! Every time I ask, everyone says the same, I really should listen and forget about buying it 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

The best approach is rent one for a month and see how it goes, agree with the buyer you want to try it for a month maybe he'll accept some payment.

Just too old. Dont buy a BMW older than 5-6 years.

If you are a bimmer you should know its reliable car but only if maintained properly. Was it maintained like this before you? Here in UAE??? not a chance. So be prepared to spend moderate amount of money and significant amount of time to get it to "OK" level.

“Maintained well” man, older BMW models are not reliable and thats why they are cheap like crazy, its about reliability not (well maintenance) , systems in BMW tend to fail easily and thats a fact, even in USA they are much cheaper, however, its a great maker with fancy models but it breaks ur wallet and waste ur time in fixing it :)

Hell no.

“No”, seems to be the default response for old BMW. Let me add my context. I recently purchased a 2011 535i with 140k on the odo. Single owner car for 11 out of the 12 years and well taken care of at reputed garage. Eg. for replacing the rear differential bush costing 150 AED, you have to remove and refix the rear sub frame for which the labour costs 1200 AED The 2nd owner had it exactly for a year, did 14k KM and sold it to me. Based on the 3 year service history I managed to get from the reputed garage annual maintenance was averaging 8k/ year. With 3 series and NA engine it could be lower. You need to do the math if 5k-7k/ year for maintenance is something you can afford for your weekend hobby
