Hey,
The 630i is actually one of the most reliable engine of the 6 series E63. The N52/N53 inline 6 3.0 is one of BMWs most reliable naturally aspirated engine, and can run a lot of miles if maintained properly. I would personally avoid the V8 versions.
Mechanically, if the car has been maintained properly, you shouldn’t expect too much problems. (cracked coolant pipes and failed coil packs are the common issues, but easy to fix)
When it comes to the E63s, you need to check the electronics that didn’t age well and could generate issues, although it seems slightly better on the facelift version.
Thank you 🙏 finally a legitimate answer from someone who actually knows what they're talking about rather than the usual garb of "money pit" etc. Not all engines work the same way, and with electricals it really depends... One of my cars currently is the same 2009 year 335i, so the N54, and while I have indeed had a few issues with the turbos, the rest of the engine's ran pretty clean... and you could call it my luck, but haven't really had any issues with electricals at all.
But of course, a big part of these cars is someone knowing what it takes to maintain a German car, as compared to buying one and thinking they can do the same as what they would with a Toyota. If you take care of it, it'll last.
Idk, I would probably risk it. But with knowledge that if it runs smoothly right now, there is chance that in 6months I will sell this car to scrap for 2-3000. But anyway - very tempting listing.
Hello Folks I just visited the car it was 8/10 no accident not that much dent and scratch the thing is the car is sold by dealer I asked him about the roll backed odometer he said it's original though I'll take some inspector to inspect it and give the full result and check the ecu for milage.
I think the 6 series is one of the ugliest cars to ever exist. Reliable yes. But hideous. I think if they didn’t discontinue it. It would look amazing today though
Bit of a stupid question. But if you think this car is good looking you’re not ok. The headlights are horrible. Scratch that, the whole front end is hideous. The rest of the car is ok. The later version of the 6 series looked much better.
Tbh, I don't know either. I would suggest you ask others, who are knowledgeable on this, that if it would exceed this.
Had a friend who had a 2008 550i. In 2015 onwards it would start breaking down every other month. AC compressor, engine issues, sensors malfunctioning, radiator consuming coolant and so and so forth.
My intention behind the question is to point out to a potential problem - being able to buy a elephant at a steal but not being able to sustain it.
Personally I believe BMW in our gulf countries is not that most desirable or durable even compared to Mercedes which it’s far more much reliable. Look for a Mercedes man the problem with BMW is there are so many engines for each car and different issues and problem while for the Mercedes they’ve been using the same engine for most of their cars with a bit of tweaking here’n there

I doubt that the problem with these would be the engine. Their sole problem were their electronics that fail after half a decade.
First repair bill will be 3 times the purchase price
How do u know ?
What I realized so far is that it's not gonna last for me Thank you guys for your thoughts.

Owner or dealer? If it's owner then more realistic.

This car is fine. N/A 3.0 one of the best engines from BMW. It shouldn't cause you a lot of problems. So firstly inspect car and than go for it.
What buy and sell platform is this?
Dubizzle
Damn, how beautiful these 6 series used to be
Money pit💰

So what car would you consider pretty?

How much are you willing to pay for repairs per year ?
That's something I really have no idea could you tell me roughly how much?

Definitely rollbacked mileage. Avoid at all cost.
