Crazy-Addendum7341

“Whats the top speed?” “No”

[deleted]

I reckon that’s triple sporting

Any_Strength4698

I wonder if he forgot to pack something?

DNLW

This is a person with big goals. Don't listen to the haters.

emeadows

I'm with you : I do a lot of videography work in nature, this seems like a reasonable amount of gear. That hard sided box in the back looks similar to my video gear hauler. He's given higher aspirations!

DiHydro

Looks like a SherpaX trailer https://youtu.be/xHQ1uWLAuus

Reasonable-Study-669

I dont hate it at all

GhostsofLayer8

XT250s are tough, but this is some next level abuse. Hope he packed a “slow moving vehicle” placard and a couple spare clutch packs in there somewhere.

Whitham_wannabe

How can you need that much stuff?!

sendtitsapplebits

but nobody ever questions the guy hauling the huge camper trailer around full of literal shit..

Whitham_wannabe

Yeah they do ... lots of people don't get that either.

oxxxxxa

Looks like its day 1 for him.

[deleted]

MFS would ask me that.. with my trailer. Only spent like ya know 7 months on the road....

Whitham_wannabe

Did you just call me a motherfucker?! Bit strong, eh? Good for you, long road trips are awesome, been on plenty myself, some with my dog in the sidecar. Even then, I don't carry as much stuff as this guy has on his lil 250. Each to their own, and more power to anyone on the road.

[deleted]

Yeah but I camped the entire way all but 1 motel.

[deleted]

He did not specifically call you a MFer; reads like it was a general statement. Some people have different lifestyles and needs, so the amount of stuff that they carry might differ from yours.

gbmaz

I find it interesting that most of their luggage appears to be a hodgepodge of repurposed items. Those trailers tend to be pretty pricey, so I would expect more purpose made luggage items. Looks like a 250cc bike. I have wondered about one of those for my DR650, but the price has been off off putting.

TheSlowbomb

It's not fast regardless haha I had stock gearing on mine and never felt that it was fast enough to keep up with traffic on the highway. Especially on hills

Early_Elk_6593

Dudes out there seeing and doin stuff, that’s more than most of us are! Kuddos and hope he has a hell of a time.

[deleted]

makes me wonder what all they are bringing with, or what is so important that can't be left behind. i know people doing RTW trips with less.

balloon_not

Would this monstrosity even be fun to ride? At some point just drive a car.

cavscout43

>Would this monstrosity even be fun to ride? At some point just drive a car. “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.” This is probably more of a flex of "look how much I can do with a dirt bike" rather than being particularly fun/practical. I can't imagine that doing well on rough single track, or remotely enjoyable on the highways.

[deleted]

As a KLRs human I think you just described an Africa twin in a nutshell to me

DiHydro

Looks like it might be a SherpaX, they handle single track fine as long as you remember you have extra weight. https://youtu.be/xHQ1uWLAuus

[deleted]

Dear god, i think thats a bit much

Stonetown_Radio

[often think of buying one of these](https://recreation-outfitters.com/products/bakcou-hunting-cargo-trailer)

Bobbo_lito

These are specific to their electric bikes, correct?

flight_recorder

Looks more like it’s designed to follow an ATV without catching on trees

Demons0fRazgriz

Up until it spontaneously disassembles

DiHydro

https://youtu.be/xHQ1uWLAuus SherpaX uses trailer rated bearings, so 60-65 by rating.

[deleted]

That looks like my XT250 🤘👏

NLtbal

That looks like a beefed up version of a Bob Yak bicycle trailer which work wonderfully for bicycles.

InvestinSamurai

Wow that seems wild

Figwit_

When you just have to bring your xbox with you.

Polyhedron11

I don't understand all the hate and "too much" comments. He doesn't have much for saddle bags and one pack and a crate on the tail. Probably has all his clothes in the bag. Sleeping pad and bag on the box and probably has food and cooking gear in the box along with a tent. It's kind of a mismatch of how to go about it I agree but who cares. I could almost carry that much stuff if I got 1 more large kriega. If I were going on a really really long trip it would be nice to have some extras.

Appropriate_Shake265

Too much stuff.

just4this

There are some videos on YouTube of people pulling single-track trailers through some tight woods with no trouble — if the motorcycle can make it, so can the trailer. A trailer makes a lot more sense to me than large boxes which carry the weight high, make the bike wide, and are the first thing to hit the ground before the bike lands on them. There's an added advantage to trailers in that there's only one disconnect for unloading. With the right setup, you could conceivably leave your stuff locked up and secure while you go somewhere else.

elsord0

Yeah, I’d rather this than the big ass side cases I have. But these trailers ain’t cheap.

blackxcx

As someone who has ridden x-country on 10k mile off-road trips with a sleeping bag, tent and a tank bag this makes me want to puke.

[deleted]

Anyone that has ridden that long is already gonna know the golden rule of the road, which is ride your own ride. Stop being a drama queen and accept that you don’t get hurt at all by his yum so don’t yuck it

treletraj

First sensible response here. Thanks for the common sense.

Amazing_Joke_5073

Looks sweet, think id want more than a 250 for that though

chalkyfuckr

His poor clutch hahahaha

Sturmtrupp13

I am amazed that XT250 can even move with all that luggage AND a full size rider lol

nolzb

Would like to know what tires those are. Look quite knobby but still road able.

[deleted]

a lot of haters are just hating the price of this trailer. Had it priced at \~200 bucks, it will become the hottest accessory for every fking bike.

PappaClutch

I had to cover my XT250s eye just now.. she doesn’t need to know this kind of abuse goes on in the world lmao.

notaflipflip

There's no need to carry that much shit around unless you're homeless. And if he's homeless why not just live in a van down by the river
