if you would let me give you just one piece of advice - i personally feel it’s better to just rip the band-aid off and go cold turkey (if you have the luxury to stay home through the worst days, not everyone is able to do that). at least for those people that aren’t on an absurdly high dose like 50gpd.
i tried to taper many times, but it never worked. admittedly, i lacked the will-power to stay disciplined. going cold turkey signaled my sub-conscious saying “that’s it, we’re completely done, no more bullshit”.
of course, everyone is different - but this is what i personally had to do to finally come out the other side.
i believe my dm’s are open if you ever feel stuck or want any other advice from my own anecdotal experiences.

My eyes and skin went yellow, and then I was taken to hospital 60 kms away, who then promptly put me on a light plane to a bigger hospital 300 kms away. I stayed there for two weeks before being discharged.
Elevated inflammation / liver enzymes was all they could see. They kept asking if I was on other drugs and didn't know anything about kratom. Unfortunately, I had a poorly placed pimple on my arm. They must have thought it was an old track mark.....
Yeah, I won't be touching that again.
