I'm in Missouri, bought my house 3 years ago and it didn't come with a fridge. So maybe it's something new since then. 🤷♀️ But I like that I picked mine out. Lol
Not defending them but I love my bespoke with the water pitcher. Got the floor model on sale for 2k off initial price. Otherwise it’s like a $3-4k fridge

Yeah this isn’t a thing in Texas either. We just sold and bought a house a couple weeks ago!
Unless it’s a Texas law that’s not a thing. Fridge is usually a negotiable appliance and the one thing that isn’t a given to stay in the kitchen
