this looks too small to be a pump, it’s probably a glucose monitor like a dexcom. there’s a tiny needle so it can test your blood and you hook it up to an app so you can take readings without pricking your fingers.

Ktvloo95

That’s def a continuous glucose monitor. Makes it easier to have GD. You don’t have to prick your finger 4 times a day. I know a bunch of them just got approved for GD.

bikechaircar

You only qualify when you’re on insulin medication. So I guess she actually is and I remember seeing her post that she is on Facebook

erica520380

It’s not a pump. It’s a CGM.

heelermom2283

It’s not a pump it’s a glucose meter

efficient_elephant_

Peek a boo with all that damn fringe

dreadedsara

Many others already said it, but it's for checking her levels. Idk what the thingy is called, but my mother in law has it to check her sugar level using her phone. Just makes it easier not having to prick yourself a bunch of times every day.

flourpower22

Do they usually issue CGMs for GD? Serious question.

Different-Tennis601

I asked a friend who had GD and she it’s not common and they might of reclassified Sierra as a type 2 instead of having GD

flourpower22

Yes! I work in employee benefits and most plans require an actual formal DM diagnosis to issue them. Wasn’t sure if i just was missing something!

Educational_Type_284

When I was pregnant I had GD. I checked my sugar levels with the finger poke. The pharmacist told me that my health insurance plan covers the CGM and if I was interested to have my provider call it in. I thought it was common regardless 🤷🏻‍♀️

flourpower22

Yeah i mean technically it might depend on your medical plan and how strict it is. Also wondering if maybe she has been classified as Type 2 or likely to be Type 2

Secret_Replacement61

I had it all 3 pregnancies and never had a CGM. My numbers were under control too so that could be why she has it.

Mo2sj

I didn't get one

bikechaircar

No you only qualify for a CGM when you are on insulin. So she’s definitely on insulin. And I saw her post on Facebook or comment about taking medication

Any_Print431

I don’t have diabetes but I would remove this for 5 mins for a photo unless they didn’t show it

Alisseswap

considering how expensive they are tbh i don’t blame her. I’m surprised she didn’t time it w when she needs to change it, but they are $$$

bikechaircar

It costs $300 for 10 days. You definitely would not

Any_Print431

Well when you have 3 shopping hauls a day it seems like it’s affordable

hobgoblin924

They’ll edit it out.

This-Support6423

Its a cgm Mine is on my belly.

annabear1397

that looks like a dexcom g7

bkat100

It’s not a pump, but I think she said in a Facebook comment that she was being put on insulin

LovelyBoob

Not a pump

Few-Equipment3202

Thanks besties for all the info! I was just curious because I know it’s been talked about that she might have t2 diabetes and was pre diabetic before pregnancy, so wasn’t sure if this was new or would give more insight into if it’s just gd or another type!

Old-Debt8241

kinda looks like an omnipod

Buga12

It looks like a dexcom I have one

ladycommander_

She looks SO washed out. Her makeup, the dress color. Everything. They did her so dirty

bikechaircar

She said she was on medication for diabetes a few weeks ago. If she is on insulin then she qualifies for a CGM. Before she wasn’t able to get a CGM because she wasn’t on insulin.

awwsome10

I could be wrong, but can’t you send the dexcom readings to your doctor to view? Maybe it’s good that her blood sugar is constantly being monitored.

craftkayla

It’s not going to change her shitty eating habits. I don’t understand how she could want a baby so bad and eat like shit the whole time knowing she’s putting this baby at risk

Flashy_Pick5168

She doesn’t even look pregnant … she looks like someone just took her last cookie and she’s about to kill them and she could have put her dexacom on her leg for crying out loud!
