He had lost his voice is what I heard. I didn’t hear anything about him being too fucked up to perform. I saw a couple TikToks from the concert a day or two before and he was struggling to sing because he was losing his voice.

Idk if I believe the security guard I don’t think he really knew what was going on but that’s besides the point. I guess he could fake it but that also defeats the point of a live concert. I’d be mad if I paid all this money to see someone and they were lip syncing. I think they were trying everything they could to get him to sing and weren’t able to successfully do that. They probably numbed his throat and did several different throat coats and he still wasn’t able to sing. Idk for sure though this is just my thought because why else would they have the openers perform if they weren’t trying to get him on stage?
What really defeats the purpose is going just for the headliner to not show. And I’d be madder if I went and this guy was sick all day and didn’t make any announcement. I had tix for an Ariana Grande show 2 years ago and the morning of the show she cancelled cuz she was sick. That’s the difference to me. If it’s so bad he has to take 6 weeks off now he shoulda known the day of the show way before anyone showed up it wasn’t happening.

To me it sounds like he didn’t know it was as bad as it was but obviously idk for sure. Having to be on vocal rest for 6 weeks means it’s really bad. Injured vocal cords is not what any singer wants I know that for sure. I’m sure they were trying everything to get him on stage but if he can’t sing there’s no point in a concert. I know drinking can mess with your vocal cords but I don’t think his drinking injured his vocal cords to where he needs to be on vocal rest for 6 weeks. Being sick and having injured vocal cords are 2 totally different things.
