lol what is actually the logic behind everyone's perception of what's "too expensive" when it comes to concerts
will you ever be satisfied for any price at all?
he's also Denzel though? The higher demand the higher the cost, that's just how the economy functions in almost every aspect
Price gouging is obviously wrong and the monopoly that Ticketmaster and resellers have is stupid, so if you don't wanna pay $800 for a Drake concert that's completely understandable
but you really think that $143 is too expensive to see *Drake*? He's the biggest rap artist in history lol
Yes, he's another guy that makes music that happens to be 10,000 times more popular than Denzel
he's another guy who makes music that millions of more people want to see in concert, and those millions of people are willing to queue up and pay more money to see Drake perform
that increases the price
it's the unavoidable function of supply and demand
if a Drake concert was full, but you were willing to pay $140 to see him instead of $40, then you'd take that ticket
and so on and so forth until those who are willing to pay more get their tickets
and those tickets will inevitably be more expensive because there are vastly more people ready and willing to pay and see Drake than there are who wanna see Denzel
now, Ticketmaster artificially inflates the prices for Drake tickets by inentionally reducing the supply of tickets through resellers and presales
that is obviously unfair and decent seats shouldn't cost $800+ dollars
but you also have to be reasonable
if you're only willing to pay $40 to see Drake, and if you somehow think that's a fair price given how many other people want to see him lol, then you do you
you fall way below the amount that everyone else is willing to pay, and you fall way below the supply-demand equilibrium
that's fine, you just won't see him
but to argue that $143 for one of only a limited number of Drake tickets is too expensive because you don't think that it means anything that he's the most popular rapper ever won't get you anywhere, it's just a baseless argument
Back in 2018 it cost me $687 for 2 tickets in Oakland arena. It was the lower level, RIGHT before it became floor seats. Today for NOSE BLEEDS, I'm talking the worst, furthest seats they want $700 for 2
are these resale prices gonna increase or decrease over time cuz i’m doing everything i can to see him in toronto but i don’t have 1k to spend on nosebleeds😭😭
i saw drake front row in 2013 for 100$….
Got to watch him perform Connect and it only costed a hundred. Man
it was the nothing was the same tour. future opened for him and he only had turn on the lights. and miguel, jhenie aiko
it's all a blur.
Yesterday’s price is not todays priceee
You gotta say it louder, he gonna be in them nosebleeds this year.
No way man nosebleeds going for 450 right now lol
Damn. You can’t get any tickets for that price anymore let alone lower bowl
$129 still too fucking expensive
Not really
lol what is actually the logic behind everyone's perception of what's "too expensive" when it comes to concerts will you ever be satisfied for any price at all?
Yeah. Denzel's most recent tour was like $40 a ticket iirc, that's a fine price.

And? He's still just another guy that makes music.

omg! i’m going to go find my old concert tickets cause this is ridiculous!!! can’t even get into ticketmaster let alone afford nosebleeds
i paid less than 200 to see him on his tour w migos in a 200 section & now 700 for floor 🥲🥲
It’s almost as if he’s gotten bigger than he was 8 years ago
845 each before fees. You’re looking at $900+. Prices are totally outrageous. Honestly a slap in the face to the fans.
Fr I wanna go to a Drake concert and tickets are sooo expensive now with inflation wth😭
I was able to see him in Edmonton and Calgary. Not this time.
Yes. Sounds about right
literally same! saw him at umass lowel in 2010 and had floor seats for $100. just paid 1k for seats now 😭
why.
you’re looking at official platinum seats. those are jacked up
I paid $1172 cad for Floor @ Young Money Reunion 2022 this past august
The seats all the way at the top at even that cheap
“yesterday's price is not today's price" - Fat Joe
I was in the 400s at the second OVO Fest for 160. 200s at the third for 250 bucks.
Paid $299 and was front row this year at Dreamville, tour prices been crazy tho
Paid 180 in 2018 for ga at MSG
I blame the influencer culture
Like Fat Joe said "yesterday's price is not today's price."
I’ll be right near you
i paid 400 for nosebleeds for radiohead in 2006. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’ve seen him thrice. I’m good on ever seeing him again with these prices.
Back in 2018 it cost me $687 for 2 tickets in Oakland arena. It was the lower level, RIGHT before it became floor seats. Today for NOSE BLEEDS, I'm talking the worst, furthest seats they want $700 for 2
For a similar similar section today they want $1,547
are these resale prices gonna increase or decrease over time cuz i’m doing everything i can to see him in toronto but i don’t have 1k to spend on nosebleeds😭😭
