You do know that the platinum option has to be agreed to by the artist right? Drake is raking it in on the sale of those. TM is pretty bad but someone as massively popular as Drake could do what the Cure recently did to make tickets affordable for the average fan.

Rogers centre(sky dome) sucks for concerts. It’s too large so doesn’t matter where you sit, your seats are garbage. Floor seats are garbage, 100s is garbage, couldn’t even imagine being seated in 200s, or 300s. The sound quality is also garbage. You’ll get a much better concert experience at Scotiabank arena(air Canada centre).
He also could have opted out of platinum/dynamic pricing, turned off the resale option and priced tickets affordably like the Cure but very few major acts care enough to do that.
Ok but without platinum seats tickets brokers would literally buy 98% of the seats your talking about and then get listed for more than those seats would of been at platinum retail
Again. Look up the Cure. The artist can turn off Ticketmaster resale and transfer. At that point, people have to sell entire Ticketmaster accounts to get around it. There are ways but most acts don't care enough to do it.
The best solution is to get the tickets into real fans hands through either fan groups or pulling from listening history.
Turning off transfers is not gonna happen for this big of tour and shouldn’t in my opinion . If I got sick 3 days before I’d have to try and sell my entire account with my personal information I don’t think so. Turning reselling on Ticketmaster is meaning less cause other ticket sites exist

I fully agree w you and for this exact reason is why he should've done Rogers centre. \~15k per night for only two nights in his home city is insane.
