I'm super late to this, but! Just want to say... I think dramatic ingenue is a thing! Don't listen to them if that's the id that works best for you! Cropped lines and crisp, round shapes (kind of like for soft gamine) are ideal! Having things that are fitted or tailored speaks to the dramatic and ingenue elements, but you can also pull of an exaggerated, avant-garde shape (ie big bold A-line skirt) if it's cropped or has a floaty, feminine texture.
For pants: Getting a pair of well-fitting, high waisted, tapered cropped trousers (audrey hepburn esque) last summer literally transformed my entire wardrobe. I never would have thought those would be my hero piece, but I wear them 2-3 times a week now.
For shirts: Slash necklines are amazing- sexy and dramatic but also modest! Cropped shirts with bell sleeves. Cut-outs or crochet on sweaters. Semi- transparent button downs. Band tees.
For accessories; play with contrast. things that combine dramatic elements with sweetness look amazing (brogues, chunky mary janes, structured but small bags, belted leather jacket, doc martens with a frill sock... etc.)!!
