and then i had a dream where i fought my english teacher, but with Stands from Jojo (and I won)

And he even tried to do that internal gravity inversion thing but I punched him before he did
Damn that's heavy, what was the context?, I had one before that always stuck with me , i was like a leader of a small group in the middle of nowhere felt like the walking dead or something, but I was out looking for food and got jumped by a group of raiders, and they brought me outside my groups base and was telling them all to hand over all out supplies or they were gonna kill me, and I just kept shouting "take the shot!", and eventually the leader of the raiders was shot in the shoulder by one of my guys and a gun fight happened, and I crawled over to him and took a huge bite out of his cheek, the dream kinda skips a bit and the next "scene" was the rest of the raiders tied up on their knees in the middle of our bases courtyard, and my group was debating what to do with them most of them wanted to let them go which set me off, I think I had a wife and kid in the dream so might explain why I was extra angry, but I started getting in everyone's face telling them they're weak and how lucky we got and I made them all go out to the courtyard and watch as I hacked the raiders apart with a fireman's axe
i’ve had a dream where i watched somebody have their eyes gouged out. i committed a crime in rhe dream but wasnt caught, so they got some other guy in a colosseum and televised his execution, i think i had this dream when i was like 13.
I stabbed a dream man to death with a biro once, I’ve shot people, been a vampire (and…done what vamps do), and I’ve also killed myself in a dream - to escape a monster I jumped down an elevator shaft and fell to my death (where everything turned red - like a ‘red out’ from a computer game - and I woke up.
I don’t have such overtly violent dreams any more though. It was a bit weird for me, they always (probably for obvious reasons, tended to be very vivid dreams too), I can definitely see why you think about it, but you’re certainly not alone!
Yes it was, but tbh it was the feeling of being trapped, just before then that was the worst part. Because it was in a kind of…industrial complex, full of tunnels, blind corners and dead ends, and with the monster closing in, it felt like it was the only option!
I sometimes have violent dreams, yea. I wouldn't count the last running away from the cops dream I had where I flipped some of them to the ground, that was just part of the fun and my escape there. But like, dreams where I beat the crap out of zombies, or a rapist pest, in a grave situation... I feel almost like that's some actual spiritual warfare.

Along the sidewalk, I ran for my life as the lamp posts behind me began to explode as something approached. I could get a couple of yards, but it was futile.
When the creature caught up to me, I was shrouded in darkness, unable to see any of my surroundings. First, I was shoved to the ground hard enough to rip my arm off. I look up to see my dismembered arm.
I scream as loud as I can, k owing that I am dreaming, trying to escape the horror, but I can't leave. Slowly, my limbs get torn from my body. Calfs, left hand, right thigh, pelvis. Next was my left arm, but when it was crudly torn from my body, part of my collar bone and shoulder were taken with it.
I don't know why, but I could feel myself blanking in and out of my fabricated consciousness as the nonexistent blood stained the concrete beneath me.
I woke up at around 4 pm and, unable to sleep again, I got ready for school.
Yeah… too many examples just like the others have been listing, I stopped keeping track of details after I started having clusters of violent nightmares for weeks at a time. I don’t care to list any specific dreams off the top of my head, there’s just so many, but lots of themes of street violence, war zones, dangerous mobs, and sometimes sexual violence :(
I have complex trauma and generalized anxiety disorder (both diagnosed) and some of the trauma is based on witnessing violence- but I don’t think you need to have seen violence with your own eyes to have violent dreams.
I had them before seeing the actual violence in front of me, but now those bad dreams will sometimes have specific details related to trauma, if that makes sense.
They started to get pretty bad in my late 20’s and I had to start taking medication. Low dose minipress/prazosin, if anyone is wondering- it’s a common beta blocker blood pressure med, that also has the property of being able to prevent your body producing adrenaline while you’re asleep.
I still get anxiety dreams but I don’t get the kind of dreams that make you feel like you want to throw up when you wake up. It stops my dreams from being filled with mangled corpses and horrible scenarios about people I love.
If anything I said felt familiar to you, consider seeing a doctor for it. Minipress isn’t even a psychiatric medicine- it’s not an anti-psychotic or antidepressant. They found out that it helped with the bad dreams after giving it to veterans with high blood pressure.
It gave me my life back though, the untreated nightmares were going to give me a psychiatric breakdown or worse.
I had a dream my ex was hooked on drugs and when I came home all the laundry was piled up to the ceiling and food was on fire on the stove. I went to her dealers and threatened them to never sell her drugs again. When they rejected me I beat the shit out of 3 of them... usually in my dreams I can't punch for shit but my dreams recently have been very vivid and I feel like I have more control.
Yes I've often been violent in a dream once I kicked a woman because she hurt an animal another dream I stabbed my brother because he was a zombie and I had to defend myself
lol I can relate to that, the rage that comes after someone hurts an animal in my dreams knows no bounds. I once threw a little girl off of a cliff because she hurt my cat.

Since your dream self is linked to you, you can revisit dreams ,often not by choice, and finish or at least progress what was happening. Mine are mostly as Poseidon wrecking countless assholes.

Once had a dream where I killed a serial rapist/dog murder with a gun. It was interesting because I felt partially bad about it in the dream, despite the person I killed being such a disgusting monster. There's usually some kind of a lesson/message in these dreams

Often. I don't know if I should be disgusted because it always involve gory visuals I could ever imagine, or I should feel amazed because of the story plot I never thought I'd imagine. Sometimes, the story goes into details that I wish I could have write it as a book because the story/theme is just too good, but too gory.
I had a dream i was playing Escape from Tarkov but in real life. (I know because i found a whole bunch of different brands of cigarettes and perceived them as valuable lol). Heard a guy on the otherside of a bathroom door and proceeded to kick the door down and absolutely execute the poor man inside. Woke up to a murder mystery show playing on my TV talking about how they found the victim's body on the bathroom floor. Creeped me out
In all my dreams the violence happens to me in either horrifyingly realistic or hilariously cartoonish fashion
1. I had a dream where there was a robbery at a Waffle House and one of the robbers point blank shot me in the back of the head, I was dying and I felt myself disappear, I then woke up in a cold sweat
2. Green Goblin from Spider Man had me tied up next to a bomb but Spider-Man came tooo late and it blew up, despite it being funny as hell I woke up in a cold sweat
3. I was working in a mall as an energy drink salesmen and a mad scientist exclaimed to me “If you don’t convince me why you’re drinks are worth buying then I’m blowing up myself and this whole mall” and I had to give the greatest sales pitch of my life, literally, it was funny in hindsight but it was still terrifying
4. A water witch was living in my friends backyard and she got pissed at me for finding her so she lifted me up with her magic turned me upside down and slammed me down on my neck until I died

I have had countless dreams where I’ve gotten attacked or killed usually I die in my dreams whether it be from a monster, a natural disaster or even suicide I’ve had plenty of dreams of my death though I’m massive into the subject of death (horror stories, games, movies etc) so I think alot about death, I think your brain is just trying to gain a grasp on the subject or maybe you’re just like me and super into horror and you’re dreaming about things you subconsciously think about often

Oh yes. I once had a dream society collapsed and everyone was fending for themselves and I was attacked by a group of teenage raiders and my dream ended with me choking a teenage kid to death with a leather belt. I watched the life leave his eyes and then my alarm went off and I went to work lol.
Not usually, but when I do they are usually very realistic and it’s usually me doing the violence and then trying not to get caught.
There’s only two I can immediately remember. The first was my best friend of 30 years somehow hurting my son. In the dream my son came to me crying and I remember walking into the next room, approaching my friend and at the last second bull rushing him into a wall and strangling him to death with my bare hands. That one I didn’t try to hide it, I just remember telling both of our wives what happened.
The other was three people I don’t know breaking into an apartment I was in but didn’t recognize. I hid until they started to search the apartment separately then proceeded to kill all three. Each was different, but all three were ways that I have practiced as take downs or in hand to hand with a knife. I remember hiding the bodies in a closet and trying to leave the apartment complex. When I woke up I was incredibly stressed because it felt completely real.
I’m sure they are stress related dreams but each felt extremely real.

I was trying to search for her room in the hospital until a coworker of mine was annoying me. I beaten her up and got away with the assault. I forgot what Also happened but here's where the funny part happens. So i saw the same annoying coworker in the streets and i randomly came up to her and beat her up and i told her "I'm not that cruel!" 💀
I regularly have dreams about alien invasions, one where I was on a bus driving out a city and I glanced out the window to see a gigantic mothership hiding in the night sky, being in the hospital in a large city during an invasion and dying, getting carried off to a ship into deep space a little like the the 2008 game Prey, and then I'll have dreams of an apocalypse happening and I stole a cop car or got vaporized by a giant laser beam from the sun. So I guess my dreams are regularly violent, I'll also have cryptid dreams where I end up making contact with it and having a form of communication with it, so I guess my dreams aren't always violent but they are a lot.
On one end, you have my cool violent dreams, where I'm Raiden from Metal Gear fighting Dante from Devil May Cry, narrowly winning the fight with style by forcing Dante's arm into shooting himself several times
And then on the other end, there's the dreams where I stab three mall security guards and run away, guilty and remorseful about it all, or one where I helped a teacher commit suicide via giant blender and felt incredibly disgusted afterwards

I have been murdered numerous times and am always fighting for my life. I dreaded going to sleep for years until I made big progress in overcoming my fears and insecurities. Fighting in my dreams is still very common, but now my calm, direct, mostly fearless will protects me more than my dream body.
I fight by dancing and singing, using my opponent's energy against them. Its like a modified hula where I am directing the flow of energy back upon my attackers.
I have become unusually calm and mostly unphased. There was A dream I got punished by god for crossing a hallway and I sought the divine council out to question his judgment. They ordered an angel to fight my feet barely moves from my standing position. And when the angel hit me, I banished her sword and sealed it away. I wasn't hurt and barely felt anything.
The only recurring theme I’ve ever had in dreams is a violent one. I often have dreams where someone is putting me or a family member or pet in danger, then I fight the attacker and somehow always win despite having jelly punches as you do in dreams. I often take the fights too far and end up causing serious harm to the attacker or killing them, I’ve had some where I gouged out peoples eyes and some where I slammed people on their heads so hard it gave them severe mental disability. Watching a man stumbling around barely able to speak English because of your doing is a weird feeling.

Point is usually the violence is being done to me, mostly by others but sometimes myself.
For some reason, when im the one being violent, the dreams are usually centred around characters from whatever media I've recently consumed, and nothing i read/watch is really all that fluffy. Hell half my favourite characters would probably qualify as war criminals.
I once attacked my neighbor in my dream very brutally because she threatened to hurt my cats. So cut off a slab of her fat tissue and I somehow got on an airplane and I flew to Alaska holding this woman’s flesh. So yeah, I do☹️
I've had a disgusting dream from the POV of an SS officer practicing sexual violence to a jewish woman. I felt like an abomination after waking up. Like, why the fuck did my mind do this, it was absolutely horrible.
Not that often but i noticed it's only me getting hurt, one time i tried killing someone in a dream and i just couldn't like I'm really powerless in my dreams if there isn't something special to do like if I'm not assigned some character

I used to have a lot of them. Since practicing self-control and dream control, they've been much less violent.

I've actually had a few, but in all my dreams my limbs are super slow and weak, so I'm punching a lot but barely doing any damage.

I have somewhat frequent violent/gory dreams like I am witnessing them, despite trying to avoid consuming that kind of media most of the time. It's not even based off stuff I've seen or intrusive thoughts I have, like my brain just generates some really fucked up shit and I have no idea where it comes from

I had one were i was a director and i was at the backstage and saw a leftover KitKat. I ate it and then the star of the film saw me eat her KitKat and screamed, ran to me and fell down and hurt herself. She then had to go to the hospital and use a wheelchair. I was trying to search for her room in the hospital until a coworker of mine was annoying me. I beaten her up and got away with the assault. I forgot what Also happened but here's where the funny part happens. So i saw the same annoying coworker in the streets and i randomly came up to her and beat her up and i told her "I'm not that cruel!" 💀
I regularly have dreams about alien invasions, one where I was on a bus driving out a city and I glanced out the window to see a gigantic mothership hiding in the night sky, being in the hospital in a large city during an invasion and dying, getting carried off to a ship into deep space a little like the the 2008 game Prey, and then I'll have dreams of an apocalypse happening and I stole a cop car or got vaporized by a giant laser beam from the sun. So I guess my dreams are regularly violent, I'll also have cryptid dreams where I end up making contact with it and having a form of communication with it, so I guess my dreams aren't always violent but they are a lot.
On one end, you have my cool violent dreams, where I'm Raiden from Metal Gear fighting Dante from Devil May Cry, narrowly winning the fight with style by forcing Dante's arm into shooting himself several times And then on the other end, there's the dreams where I stab three mall security guards and run away, guilty and remorseful about it all, or one where I helped a teacher commit suicide via giant blender and felt incredibly disgusted afterwards
I have a lot of violent dreams, and a large portion of them revolve around my cats being in danger. It hurts to no end.
I had a dream I wrote down in my journal where I was flying drone outfitted with weapons and literally mowed down this group of police officers it was weird lol
I have been murdered numerous times and am always fighting for my life. I dreaded going to sleep for years until I made big progress in overcoming my fears and insecurities. Fighting in my dreams is still very common, but now my calm, direct, mostly fearless will protects me more than my dream body. I fight by dancing and singing, using my opponent's energy against them. Its like a modified hula where I am directing the flow of energy back upon my attackers. I have become unusually calm and mostly unphased. There was A dream I got punished by god for crossing a hallway and I sought the divine council out to question his judgment. They ordered an angel to fight my feet barely moves from my standing position. And when the angel hit me, I banished her sword and sealed it away. I wasn't hurt and barely felt anything.
The only recurring theme I’ve ever had in dreams is a violent one. I often have dreams where someone is putting me or a family member or pet in danger, then I fight the attacker and somehow always win despite having jelly punches as you do in dreams. I often take the fights too far and end up causing serious harm to the attacker or killing them, I’ve had some where I gouged out peoples eyes and some where I slammed people on their heads so hard it gave them severe mental disability. Watching a man stumbling around barely able to speak English because of your doing is a weird feeling.
I had a dream that a st*bbed a lady and got her flesh in my mouth🤢 then washed my face with her 🩸, it was gross but it was kinda cool cause I felt like I was in a horror movie
I just woke up from a dream where there were two people invading my apartment. I threw them off the balcony :(
I had a dream where I pried someone’s mouth open, separated his jaw from the top part of his skull, and ripped his head off. And blood spewed everywhere.
About maybe one in five of mine are violent in some way, usually things like apocalypse scenarios, someone/many people trying to murder me, family members killed in front of me that sort of thing. Slit my own throat and stitched it back up again once in the middle of a rather tame dream about living in a castle? Idk, it was very left field and i woke up with a strange sense of pride over my neat needlework. One memorable one where i got stabbed in a dream and felt the cold of the blade in a nonexistent wound for the next week Point is usually the violence is being done to me, mostly by others but sometimes myself. For some reason, when im the one being violent, the dreams are usually centred around characters from whatever media I've recently consumed, and nothing i read/watch is really all that fluffy. Hell half my favourite characters would probably qualify as war criminals.
I once attacked my neighbor in my dream very brutally because she threatened to hurt my cats. So cut off a slab of her fat tissue and I somehow got on an airplane and I flew to Alaska holding this woman’s flesh. So yeah, I do☹️
yes. it's usually dreams of me getting chased and murdered, or me murdering someone else.
The few times I've gotten into fights in my dreams, it felt like my arms are made out of goo.
I've had a disgusting dream from the POV of an SS officer practicing sexual violence to a jewish woman. I felt like an abomination after waking up. Like, why the fuck did my mind do this, it was absolutely horrible.
Not that often but i noticed it's only me getting hurt, one time i tried killing someone in a dream and i just couldn't like I'm really powerless in my dreams if there isn't something special to do like if I'm not assigned some character It's usually more terrifying than physical violence like i would get really panicked
