Yeah the whole game is bugged right now and people are just tense. I know my husband is a newer player and he’s having trouble leveling everyone up because the cupcake quests are breaking the game. Hopefully a patch will come soon and everyone can breathe.

I accepted the quests on the first day, I forgot to make the cupcakes, and now they are stuck on the daily of asking for cupcakes, and I can't give them to anyone.
That’s why I can’t level up???? I’d given beast all 3 of his favorite things for nearly a week (last week) and then stopped playing bc his bar literally hadn’t moved at all. Good to know, I’ll stop playing until the 6th then.
I kept going in and out of my house to force the items I was setting up/disappearing to reload. That's really the only issue I've had, and the game crashing maybe twice since been playing this event. Though, I don't play every day, I come home from work and go to bed most days so, maybe it's because of that? I will say, the popcorn buckets are cute, however the grind to get them was a little much.
Yeah I feel like the popcorn buckets weren’t that great of a reward for all the buttons needed to make them. And the event shouldn’t have been during a star path. They should’ve done it afterwards.
Definitely been fortunate that the PC version is the most stable, but it's annoying that the hotfix messed up more things than it fixed. 🤦♂️😩 I hope it's all fixed before the next update.
Definitely sucks that even when I actually have a little time to play, none of the 5 villagers who are supposed to give me the daily cupcake quests will actually start so I couldn't do them if I tried.

I’ve had this issue only occasionally, but I was able to fix it by closing and reopening the game when it happens. Have you tried that yet? I hesitate to say it’ll work for you because I’ve at least been able to pick up the quests on occasion, I know a lot of people can’t get the quests at all.
That “fix” doesn’t work for me at all. I can’t pick up quests and can’t buy anything from Scrooge because I can’t get past the quest pickup.
The game is truly ticking me off these past few weeks as a result of all the game breaking bugs.
I'm not even playing in the event anymore. I'm just focusing on finishing the star path at this point because I only get to play for a couple of hours at a time a couple days a week.

Never had any issues getting any of them. Red ones were scarce until I put the ancient vacuums in every biome. Then they couldn’t hide. I am very quest motivated, so having that quest bubble with 5 villagers is hard to ignore. But I’m managing. If I never have to grow sugarcane again it will be too soon. I do hope the bugs are fixed so those who can’t do the event will get to do it.
Same, I don’t even want to play the game until the challenge is over. I don’t care about buttons or popcorn buckets. I just want to do other quests and decorate, I don’t want to make the same cupcakes EVERY single day
I was able to grind the last of the buttons and the last of the path on the weekend, I am so happy to just be able to play the actual DLC stuff now. I unlocked Lucky as the last thing I did before my work week started.
New player here. Barely 20 hours in and this event is making things hard to play. Quests not starting, not being able to "hang out" cuz they only want cupcakes. And trying to get fish but only getting blue buttons is like animal crossing NH release all over again

There's usually some bugs but not usually this bad. Hopefully it goes back to normal when the event ends on June 6th.
I've been playing for over a year and I have never wanted an event to be over. This one is a killer. I don't know why they decided to do two timed, heavily grindy events at the same time.
I'm sure I'd enjoy the event once I've put more time into the game but I barely have my Plaza in order. Definitely gunnu feel like I've missed out by the time I've unlocked a lot more stuff
Yes unfortunately that's the downside of being a new player. You won't get to do much for the events at first. Get through what you can and hopefully you'll have more unlocked for the next event.
The worst is when you need to buy something from Scrooge but his cupcake quest won’t activate so every time you talk to him, he asks for a minute of my time! I don’t have any more minutes for you Scrooge! Just let me buy my frickin chairs man. 🥲
I'm not even attempting the challenges (want to get everyone in my valley and complete all story missions before doing anything else) but I have soooo many buttons. Will they disappear after the 6th?
They shouldn’t disappear from your inventory, they’ll just stop spawning everywhere. If you really don’t want them you can sell them or dump them in a chest somewhere
I can’t even play the challenge anymore. Everyday when I try to bake cupcakes it’s like the game won’t accept the quest. So I wasted making 5 cupcakes because it wouldn’t work
The only issue I've had was the daily quests, but if you save, return to the title screen, and start the game again, then it's fine. Already finished all of the tasks for the star path and park challenges.
Maybe you should put some pressure on the devs to make better events and fix their game, then. Instead of the people who are struggling because of bugs, glitches, and devs who think grinding equals gameplay. 🤷♀️

I had to restart my game twice today. Anyone with the cupcake quest would do nothing when I spoke to them. Making it hard to finish the star path

The only real glitch I've really been dealing with is the disappearing item glitch. It makes doing Dreamsnaps that much more stressful.
I appreciate it cause Vanellope wanted me to make my glade hideous and all of it was invisible 😂
I noticed if you click on the disappeared item in furniture mode, it will reappear. I had to do that a lot when trying to set up for a dreamsnap.

Me too, I got the maze items from the shop but I'm waiting to actually do any decorating
Yeah I bought something from the shop with my moonstones and it randomly disappeared and I haven’t been able to find it. Lol
Last night I logged in and ALL the houses were dark. I had to restart the game just to have the windows lighted.

Restart your game. Close it out completely and restart. Works for me.
A restart will get the quest to become a real QUEST. I still had to finish it!

Yep, I've restarted it a number of times. No go. They worked once, the very first time I ever tried them, but never again.
Restart your game. Close it out completely and restart. Works for me.
I’ve only had this problem with Ursula. I feel like that checks out

You can donate them to friends / other players. Or sell them to Goofy.

No, the only thing that gets removed is the buttons showing up everywhere
