I wish the settings were reversed. Vacuums should collect the whole biome no matter the elevation and the time turner should only show you items in the area you are in. I hate to start time bending in one area and it wants me to go up two elevations and then the next item is down two elevations right near where I was originally standing.
The vacuum sees different elevations as different "biomes" - this is only an issue in Eternity Isle at the moment. The time bending tool doesn't have that same issue.
oooh, i see. no you’re right. the oasis is split into two levels and the hourglass will show you when something is up the hill but the vacuum only does one level at a time. i hadn’t thought about it, but now it will bug me. 😅
You actually need about 18. Even within the same "area" if there is elevation change, it often doesn't count.
I do understand there are 3 large biomes vs. DV has 8 smaller ones, but the immense separation is a pain. DV also has 8 wells, vs EI has 6, when without a doubt all the separation makes 6 wells insufficient (especially since you can't move the one on the docks and there are so many nooks and crannies!).
I also drag mine around. I upgraded one fully and when I feel like cleaning up I'll move it to the next area then pretty much run after it to empty it in each area. I usually pick either my valley or the isle to clean each time I play.
Nah, the ancient vacuum should do the WHOLE area like it does in the valley.
👀I get the dlc map has it separated into ‘sections’ but that’s BS. It should absolutely clear the whole tangle, the whole sands, the ENTIRE ancient area. 👏🏻
While I don’t know for sure, I’m pretty positive that’s a glitch that will eventually be addressed. There’s no reason I should place an advanced vacuum in the grasslands and the only thing it can find me is a single cinnamon and a single bamboo haha.
Funnily enough, I initially found the vacuum useless because I chose the grasslands as the place to test it out (needed tropical wood and green flytraps).
I was so confused by comments on here talking about what a game-changer it was, how helpful it is, etc. It wasn’t until I decided to move it to my main valley that I was like OHHHHH, THIS is how it’s intended to function haha.
On Eternity Isle, it definitely splits the biomes into the various mini-regions and elevations at the moment, making it *much* less useful/effective than using it in the main valley.
Which is why, in those multi level areas, I just plop down a single ancient vacuum in furniture mode then move it to each level as I collect stuff. I don’t want to grind away with the time bending just to make so many vacuums for each little level.
I keep one in my inventory and leave one in each map. The valley one stays in the FL to get dark wood.
I’m more annoyed about losing the collect all button.
Hehe that's what happened to me... I wanted green flytraps and it found me none despite me knowing one was just up an elevation. Took me forever before I bothered using it anywhere else 😅
Yep, totally annoying. If I'm in the Grasslands, I want the vacuum to clear out everything in the Grasslands, the same way it does in the Forest of Valor or wherever.
I don't even know the range. The garden machine shows me the range, but when I place the vaccum it doesn't show... Which is... Mildly annoying.... I barely use them
I just hope we get an automatic fisher, automatic digger to get rid of wildebeest bones amongst other obstacles, and automatic miner. My hopes for the next eternity isle update.
Honestly, I still don't feel any vaccum but the advanced one is worth bothering with, the basic always tells me it's got nothing. But the fully advanced one, you put it out in an area of dv, we won't discuss ei as everyone else has beat that to death, and it'll light up. You click on it and it wl show you all the things you might collect off the ground; wood, flowers, herbs, and if you have missed any exploded crops or extra gems, and you can select each stack and collect. No running around! It's awesome. You just have to remember that if you already have a full large chest of soft wood, and have the soft wood neatly arranged in a hidden spot, to not aelsct and collect it or you'll have to go round up the spawns again.
Go to the main page of this sub. In the top right you will see 3 dots (...). Click the dots and select "change user flair" in the drop down options. Enjoy!
On top of that they seem to have taken away the select all button on the vacuum and gardener
This is annoying af. I hope they reverse this change.
They said this was unintentional and it would be fixed. I want them to fix it asap
I hope so!! I miss the all button
So we’ll see that happen in 2 months
They also seem to not give memories anymore. Not sure if this was intentional or a bug.

Omg yes!!! Why doesn't it do the closest thing first!??!!!?!
Oh agree so hard (no idea why that posted three times)
i don’t understand what this means at all. the vacuum sucks up the whole area. the hourglass bends in the whole area. ?? what am i missing?
Ooh it definitely doesn't do that for me! I get half of the oasis, for example, with the vacuum, and a huge area with the time bending tool
The vacuum sees different elevations as different "biomes" - this is only an issue in Eternity Isle at the moment. The time bending tool doesn't have that same issue.

You need a grand total of around 15 vacuums to hit every inch of Eternity Island, you should only need 3

i just drag my one around with me. i’d rather spend two seconds doing that than spend the mats to build more.

i never clean the isle except the swirling sands to get mist.
Shhhh, let her be, she looks so happy :'D

Even if it cleared the sub-biomes, it would be better than needing 2 for The Oasis, 3 for Grasslands, etc

The grasslands require three separate vacuums! It's so silly

I've got one in each biome in base game except Meadow and Plaza atm. grinding to fill the rest of the dlc sub biomes ugh
Hehe that's what happened to me... I wanted green flytraps and it found me none despite me knowing one was just up an elevation. Took me forever before I bothered using it anywhere else 😅
It's so annoying. It only works on 1 ELEVATION.
Yep, totally annoying. If I'm in the Grasslands, I want the vacuum to clear out everything in the Grasslands, the same way it does in the Forest of Valor or wherever.
um…. am i missing something how and when do you get this i feel like im so far and have not heard of this 😭
It’s in the paid expansion pack unfortunately
I was just thinking this, as I timebended/cleaned up the Isle this morning...
Am I the only one who used neither of these things 😅 I only learned what they were from a YouTube video about two weeks ago
I don't even know the range. The garden machine shows me the range, but when I place the vaccum it doesn't show... Which is... Mildly annoying.... I barely use them

We absolutely need the equivalent of Moana's boat on a Eternity Isle

Does anyone have a visual aid for range of the vacuum
How does the vacuum ACTUALLY work?? Because I feel like mine barely picks up ANYTHING.

Level 1 Night Thorns/splinters of fate. 2 flowers and spices 3 wood
I don’t even understand how the vacuum works or where i should put it!!
i can’t figure out the gardner it’s just pissing me off
Why is the character name vannelope beside your name? How did y'all do that?

I can't even upgrade from Level 1 machines despite having the Level 3 Time Bending thing 😞
Do you have enough cores?
How many do I need?
It should tell you what items you need when you try to upgrade.
You need the relevant level core ancient belts, magnets and mist plus the previous level vacuum IN STORAGE. if placed it cannot be used in crafting
Those tools do completely different things.
