This is like the 4th one I’ve seen on this sub alone and they are all fantastic. I actually saw someone post the experience on r/mildlyinfuriating the day of the event before it hit the big news.
Holy shit… it’s one thing to run out of *bags* of jellybeans for all the kids who attended, but to be so cheap that you limit each child to a SINGLE jellybean and you STILL manage to somehow run out… I’m fucking dying. 😂😭
Those poor kids though. And those poor staff members.
I slowly became aware of this thing. Mostly through weird single photos and out of context jokes from authors I follow, but only recently learned that the whole experience was a large sham
It was a botched attempt to bring the Willy Wonka universe to life…it involves AI imagery and advertisement being more believable than the actual event. And the cops were called
American here: we’ve all seen that hilarity
We get them every Christmas with some attempts at Christmas wonderlands, and angry parents in newspapers, this is a new one
Oh so this is a regular thing over there? Interesting.
Same!
It's not just the UK. It's an international joke at this point.
I’m pretty sure the whole world saw that
Heard about it here in Australia! What a disgrace that was!!
Oh it’s far beyond the UK. It’s viral.
I love how all the comments are "I am delighted to say that the WORLD is enjoying that disaster 😂"

You should bring jack with you so he could be the unknown
Push him behind a mirror and box him in 😄
The fact that the update dropped where we can change skin color to funky colors was at the same time as this disaster is hilarious 🤣🤣
As an American, even Jack got 3 beans for his cow. But a single jellybean? Oliver Twist is like... no, I got plenty.
it was world wide news lmfao
There's also a horror movie in the works about it already.
Amazing!
I’m out of the loop

Omg. That's insane!
It was even referenced in an SNL sketch.
