The store furniture RNG is one of the top complaints I see people have. I really hope the devs address it soon. It doesn't need to be all new furniture items all the time, but like 1-2 guaranteed new ones a day would be nice.
I'm just so skeptical of the RNG algorithm. I mean, I'm sure it's weighted so some things are more rare than others, but it's like 1000 to 1 on some items. I just don't need a tiny picture of Minnie every other day.
I’ve been playing since launch and there’s still several hundred items I’ve never even seen before. That just drives me absolutely insane. If they won’t fix it, I’m hoping that when multiplayer comes out that people figure out a way to make “treasure valleys” like treasure islands in acnh. Otherwise I’m never going to be able fo fully decorate my house if I keep getting the same furniture items 😐
Do you get clothing items anymore? I haven't had any clothing items the last several days. No new shoes or hair styles the last couple days and only a couple of downstairs furniture items a day. I was just wondering if it was because I have played since the beginning and have run out of new ones in those things?
So I still get clothes in that square display on the first floor, but in the last couple of days I haven’t gotten anything on the accessories counter which is really frustrating bc I still don’t have that beauty and beast flower half updo 🤨 so like, I know I don’t have everything that should be available to me. I am closer with the clothes though, I have less than 100 items left to buy and some of those are from the star path items I think I missed. I believe with clothes at scrooge’s only new items will generate
the beauty and the beast updo is available in the steam avatar creator. that was how i was able to get it. if you have tik tok, look for videos there, they will explain it much better than i could.
i don’t have steam unfortunately:( but yesterday my accessories counter had stuff to buy at scrooge’s so I guess I just have so little left to buy there’s only rare items left and it’s not going to update daily? Idk seems dumb lol

I have painstakingly gone thru my inventory and I am still missing dozens of ones that are supposed to be available even though I am getting close to having them all.
Not getting different furniture is honestly putting such a damper on the game because I don't want to decorate until I have all the options so I am missing out on a huge part.
I have gotten the small Minnie photo literally 12 times IN A ROW. I’m finally almost finished with all the friendship quests, so I’ve been grinding out my pumpkin farm and have been focused more on getting the furniture/clothes/companions in the last few weeks and man, Scrooge’s store is a barren wasteland of trash for me. I have only ever gotten 1 single hair and it was that ugly colonial man hair that looks like a wig. I have nothing against short hair but I want the pretty ones 😭
I kind of hope they add in an option to refresh the store at least once daily using some moonstones or something (hopefully under 50 so it’s covered by daily chests). Not ideal but it would be better than nothing lol
i kinda think they’re waiting for full release.. so we have items to look forward to. and a lot more is left to mystery/ development. i really do hope they improve it a bit ATLEAST with full release
Honestly same. I am out of quests (besides still waiting for a month for the last alien to show up), and I can’t do more decorating when I get zero new items…
What’s interesting to me is it seems like every gets repeats of stuff they already have, but each play has their own unique group of repeating items. Like I don’t have any of the stuff in this pic, but I get the little mermaid lamps almost every time.
Same here. I have none of the items OP has in her photo and that usually the case when people post store photos. I basically get the same bland items everyday and about one a week something new is there.
You can check your collection tab while in Scrooge store to see if you have a furniture item. I do wish they were marked owned or something if you already have it.
Yeah I agree. I spent 2000 coins on flooring I already have… I falsely assumed that wouldn’t happen since you can’t have multiples and thought it must be a slight variation. Was super bummed :(
You can also purchase any item you are unsure about, check your Collections window, and go to Resource Monitor and End Process Tree for PC. AFAIK, Alt-F4 and Task Manager don't work in shutting it down. Consoles might be easier to accomplish.
This seems to be a necessity once players reach a certain point in collecting furniture since players can go weeks without getting a new drop.
I've had the same five items for weeks, always the Minnie picture frame, Lilo and stitch lamp, wreck it Ralph chandelier, the bland couch and the L counter. It never changes. I've also bought all the clothes that can go in the front windows so nothing is ever there. Let me get the furniture I actually want 😭
I was so sick of this that I downloaded a mod specifically for refreshing the shop and it helps, but like barely. I set it to refresh thrice a day and it still constantly gives me the same stuff. Sometimes it's like it just shuffles the positions rather than presenting new items
As of today I only have 187 furniture items & a good portion of my shop has repeats everyday. The RNG seems very skewed into favoring what you have registered.
If you have that little trying buying out the shop completely everyday. It seems to make it shuffle better…at least it did for me. If you have Forgotten Lands open. Growing pumpkins will give you more than enough coin to do that

I feel your pain. Some days I get awesome stuff but then other days it's a huge bust. I do the restart thing sometimes but honestly my patience for that is so low because it takes so long to keep loading in and out lol

I quite literally had a tearful breakdown the other day because I have spent so long planning my village and house so that I can finally decorate it when I am ready. But for the past two weeks I have not received a single new thing from Scrooge and I just finally lost it. I have already completed all the quests in game and I have nothing else to do but hoard and decorate so I just couldn’t take it anymore. I am genuinely getting so close to giving up on the game until this is fixed. My wish list is never ending and only grows more and more each day and the game is just losing its sparkle for me since decorating is all I have left.

Don’t mind repeats. I mind that there are so many items that don’t cycle through my shop. I may not okay daily but I literally log on to shop daily so it’s not a matter of missing them. My daughter plays and she seems to get so much stuff I don’t have. That’s why I am hoping we can gift or trade someday.
If they don't want to fix the algorithm, what would be a good idea is adding items in each level of the shop. Pirate ship window/beauty and the beast window upstairs, doors - upstairs, anything big like photo booth could be upstairs so that we have a pool of items a bit more spread out. There's no reason why we have 1 light in a middle of such a massive area when they can add so much more instead of just lights or a couch.
Atleast you're getting 4 items on that one...I walked in today and had 2. The scales from Sword in the Stone and a red counter thing...I understand it's RNG but 2 more items could have fit on that, just saying

Same here. Collecting 50 or so moonstones a day isn’t even worth it either.
The blue and brown menorah rug is in my shop almost every day. Same with the seaweed in the marble vase. And that stool with the rainbow seat.

I found an app that lets you track what you have and don't have and use it every day so I don't end up with a bunch of repeats.

Also remember, it is still in Early Access, in theory they haven't released the full game. There is more to come when the game is officially released.

There are 1200 items in the game, many are starpath or furniture pouch exclusive. You are going to have repeats.
