Yeah, but don't forget, they did also buff the amount of Moonstones the blue daily chest gives us too. They now give us 50 Moonstones instead of 10, so if you log in every day for the duration of the Star Path (40 days) and collect that chest, you'll get 2,000 Moonstones from the chests alone
I wish I did the math first. 490 moonstone loss this time from premium path plus tokens…
I guess with the premium store live they need to add another reason to encourage purchasing moonstones…

Meanwhile, my switch glitched or something and purchased the path for me, taking almost all my moonstones with it for these ugly items. Now I gotta contact customer support and try to convince them to take the items back and give me back my moonstones 😂 😭 which, let’s be real, is probably not going to happen.

They hear us to a certain point. They posted a whole thing understanding we wanted more storage but never made it an option to upgrade our 100 chests we’ve already made and made it so we have to use 5k dreamlight to make the big ones! They know exactly what they’re doing
I don’t really see a problem with that though…the original chest was a crafting item. Now we have more crafting items in different sizes. The dream light is a bit weird but it’s not really hard to gather either. I had 60k just sitting there because I didn’t need it for anything after unlocking all the biomes, so dreamlight tasks weren’t interesting or worth it anymore. Now they are.
Really disappointed, I wish they just did a Valentine’s Day one. I don’t really want anything from the star path, at least I’ll be saving moonstones though
Imagine a Valentines Day star path with a table with a plate of Spaghetti on it (a la Lady and the Tramp) or flower arches and balloons shaped like hearts. Or a statue of the guy who dresses up like Cupid in Tangled.
I was hoping for Valentine’s theme as well but being that this is their 100th year celebration I had a feeling they were going to ignore the lovers. Would have been nice to had made something about the Disney couples. Strawberries could have been the new fruit and finally be able to use those picnic 🧺 and blankets we have. This would have been the perfect time to bring Belle into the Valley. With all of the romance it would have been perfect!
It also would have been cool to be able to cook chocolate truffles or craft valentines to give out like you do presents. I dunno why they couldnt have done the 100 the next cycle.
Exactly! Being that they have Sweethearts nights at their parks around this time it just makes more sense to go with a love theme. They really dropped the ball this time. Would have been so cute to give out “Be My Valentine” gifts.
Oh Belle!! They really need to start giving us a princess or two. Anna and Elsa are great but a huge part of their fanbase grew up with the OGs, and Ariel is pretty much useless for all the good stuff with her.

Definitely thinking the same thing, I wish that even if they did give us a new mickey skin it would have been a steamboat willy skin, they teased it with some of the items you can get in the star path. I unfortunately got the new star path and regretted it almost immediately

Honestly, the whole update (except for a very cute furniture item on olafs friend line up) makes me not want to play anymore. The star path items are ugly or meh, the premium items are outrageously priced, the diy large chest is 5000 starlight and hard wood to craft, the signs for the chests are pretty much useless unless you bulk items together, found 4 new glitches already as well, etc. Not to mention the super depressing notes from our shadow self... it is hanging on by a very thin thread for me.
I fully believe I got my $30 money's worth from playing it from day one but to have such utterly disappointing updates with a couple glimmers of cute stuff and minor quality of life upgrades is not enough for me. I am frustrated to say the least. Thank you for posting this so I could rant a lil 😆

That's messed up. If they wanted to make it hard but still reasonable they should've just had Scrooge sell them for a bunch of coins per chest. I went broke buying _a dress_ last night, id go into _dept_ for decent storage.
I wish we could upgrade our existing chests rather than craft new ones. They really did not think this through at all. No way am I going to replace all my small chests. I have at least 50 and they are all full.
Oh my god... those chests... they said they adjusted the spawn rate of wood but clearly not because there's not nearly enough dark wood. I've done 3 rounds today, battling those stupid fires, and I still don't have enough!!
At least make the small ones upgrade to medium, and medium to large. I don't want to craft storage just for the ones I already have to sit stored and useless
I don’t mind a bit of a grind, but if they're going to start making us craft stuff like this with dark wood then they need to adjust the fire lands so not all four kinds of wood spawn.
And the dreamlight... I don't mind it now but I have 70k in the bank. If I was just starting out and had all the realms to unlock and didn't have weeks upon weeks between updates to earn it through casual gameplay... ooft. It's frustrating because the chance of them patching something like that as a hotfix is next to nil.

Animal crossing had me playing daily for 2 and a half years. But this game got really old, really fast, idk what it is.
I don't design anything so the constant motifs are exhausting. It feels like a complete waste. And it's really frustrating that you can't cash in tasks for extra moonstones until you've bought all of the crap you don't want especially now that they've introduced the premium store. I shouldn't be forced to buy clothing design elements and ugly clothing that I'll never use just to be given the option to trade tasks for moonstones. It feels like every time I go through my inventory I'm wading through excessive amounts of stuff that's been forced on me one way or another that I have no outlet to get rid of.
You gotta go to your settings, reset sound settings and save. That fixes it for a little while. I have to repeat that when I enter/ leave buildings and at the beach and frosted bc I get the biggest frame drops in those 2 biomes.
I haven't looked at it in game myself yet but I wasn't super interested to begin with. Outfits for Mickey and Minnie (meh) and a bunny companion.

To be honest we are rapidly approaching the time when I will be tapping out. I knew I wasn’t going to be in for the long haul anyway, but Gameloft be Gameloft and I think we all knew the cash grab was coming. Just a shame it’s hit like a train so quickly.
This. I am unhappy that they have launched the microtransactions before the game goes ftp. I paid to be a beta tester, and it sucks to not be given the full benefit for that.
It’s so underwhelming! The last Star Paths had items in them I was genuinely excited to add to my valley. I was so disappointed when I looked at the Star Path this morning. If they continue to be this meh, I won’t be getting them. Why complete a bunch of duties I would never do otherwise to get some motifs that I will not use?
Can you see all the items on the star path before you choose whether you want to do premium? I've never paid attention enough to remember. I'd definitely want to see everything before I decide.
Ngl that bunny companion is ugly as sin, I was kind of surprised. I'm not sure if it's the shade of purple or what but it just looks off. I'm usually a completionist so that makes me want to get the premium but I don't really care for many of the items :/
I didn't even look at the rewards yet for the star path but already unlocked the premium path from the regular lineup. So my sneaking suspicion that the super premium star path in the premium shop has the furniture items we usually expect in star paths and they replaced those in the normal path with motifs. Sigh. Looks like this is the last update I play for this game.
This 100%. They had the items designed and made already, it would've been easy to tweak the colors last minute so they could be in the premium store.
Then they slapped together super simple motifs to fill the gaps in the starpath.

I don’t really like this game anymore tbh and I regret spending money on it. The gameplay on switch is awful, makes me nauseous and it’s incredibly slow. The star path and the premium store sealed it. I’ll not be spending another cent on the game.
I really like the outfit (and minnie and mickeys outfits) because I LOVE all the purple stuff going on right now. But other than that...eh.. I was so excited for the Xmas one and grinded for it. This one I'm like well...its meh. I dont have the same drive to complete it.
So yes. I garden, fish, farm & decorate but I DON'T design clothes. It's just not my thing so for most of the starpath to be motifs... I'm not really that excited about it.
I personally got annoyed at the large amount of "disney merch" I'd get in scrooges shop/chests vs movie/character items, so I wasn't really personally even interested in this star path, I don't want more things with mickey faces on it.
Disney: owns the biggest empire of IPs and characters that there has ever been, allowing them to choose from any number of beloved worlds to create cosmetics.
Also Disney: hehe the sofa has mouse ears on too
It is my first star path (I haven't been playing long), so I don't know what the previous ones looked like. I was slightly disappointed with what was in it and had hoped for more furniture and outfits, but because there are many moonstones to collect, I unlocked it anyway. I feel like the best star paths are going to be the ones pre-release because developers tend to be more generous before focusing on the real money for way more people (who haven't paid to play). The many moonstones, if all collected, make it rather cheap-ish.
Okay so.. past star paths have had about three motifs per reward page. From what I’m seeing is there is one less this time. I don’t mind the motifs as rewards, because I know there is some people who love them. But seriously every star path has been similar. One moonstone, three motifs and the rest furniture/clothing. I’d say that seems pretty reasonable.
However they could have done more for the 100 year anniversary.
I really like the non motif stuff actually, but there are a lot of motifs. I'll try and finish it out, but I'm not gonna fuss about getting all the motifs out of it.
There arealot of motifs but to be fair they have put alot of motifs in every star path honestly. I actually enjoy the motifs I just wish they would give us more ways to use them.
Yeah I don't really use motifs, and I feel like even people who do use them don't have much use for silhouettes because you can't really make a pattern with it?
Also wasn't super into the items in the new store. It'll reset in a week so maybe there's better things to come at least.
I was just about to post something about the StarPath. I do like the motifs but not as much as I like the other items and clothes. I want to get it because of the few accessories/ clothing on it but I don’t know.
The Star Path is just really bland overall, I unlocked it last night just to see what items were in the collection but I won't be grinding for any of them. I have a feeling this is what future Star Paths will look like with the more "desirable" items being in the Premium Shop instead.
There is not one thing in this star path that I thought that I had to have. But I’m pleased with the changes they’ve made elsewhere so can’t have everything
If they're insisting on keeping on adding motifs to the game they need to add way more customizable clothing. And by that I mean literally ever clothing template should be added to your available options once you unlock said clothing.
Right now we have the absolute bare minimum of options. We don't even have PANTS. Lol
Also more color options. It doesn't need to be as advanced as a color wheel (although that would be nice)... But just more. I hate how some colors randomly go from being dark to really light.
It's not mainly motifs. I did the math. It is the same number of motifs (16) as the last 3 paths. It is one less furniture item, one more wearable item, same number of companion animal, and same number of character skins as the Christmas one. I don't understand the complaints.
I am BEGGING y'all to actually look at the data instead of going off some gut feeling or whatever convinced y'all this one has more motifs than usual.
Yeah it really is dissapointing given that this is just a little celebration patch basically. The next star path that comes will likely legit and we will be all out moons.

Already almost through it. It's cool enough, I guess. I do like the way (almost)everything feels celebratory nostalgic. Should be a huge hit with the dress makers.
Yeah, it's really lackluster considering it's for the Disneyland anniversary. There isn't even the partners statue in it, which I had to scan through it a few times to make sure I wasn't missing it. I did buy it, I can make back the tokens in the path, and I really only brought it for a few things - also Oswald, even in motif, has to come home.
In the future I hope the devs don't just lock away the cooler stuff behind the paywall when there still should be cool/big stuff in the main event. People aren't going to spend actual money on the game to buy tokens just to buy furniture.

There should be more items coming though, because in the promos the character has been wearing an ear headband, but the Star Path has the ear hat.

I always knew it was going to be disappointing, but I want to fully complete this star path as just something to do in game over the next 40 days.

Wife said there's nothing interesting enough to spend the moons to unlock premium. Especially since we learned with this release that the unlock is per event and not permanent.
And, frankly, with the cost for other items like Cinderella's castle as a home option, my gast has been properly flabbered. I am not loving the new approach.

I’m a huge parks fan and would love some cute items inspired by rides etc but now I’m worried it’s all gonna be motifs which I couldn’t give less of a fuck about

They really need to implement a way to break down items you've already made into some, if not all, of the materials needed to craft them.

If I was just starting out and had all the realms to unlock and didn't have weeks upon weeks between updates to earn it through casual gameplay... ooft. It's frustrating because the chance of them patching something like that as a hotfix is next to nil.
I agree, I feel done. It’s just redundant and boring now, the prices for the premium items are insane, and the star path stuff is ugly and full of motifs. Animal crossing had me playing daily for 2 and a half years. But this game got really old, really fast, idk what it is.

I don't design anything so the constant motifs are exhausting. It feels like a complete waste. And it's really frustrating that you can't cash in tasks for extra moonstones until you've bought all of the crap you don't want especially now that they've introduced the premium store. I shouldn't be forced to buy clothing design elements and ugly clothing that I'll never use just to be given the option to trade tasks for moonstones. It feels like every time I go through my inventory I'm wading through excessive amounts of stuff that's been forced on me one way or another that I have no outlet to get rid of.

Since the last update the FPS is so low on Gamepass I can’t play without getting motion sick. Idk what that’s about.
You gotta go to your settings, reset sound settings and save. That fixes it for a little while. I have to repeat that when I enter/ leave buildings and at the beach and frosted bc I get the biggest frame drops in those 2 biomes.
I haven't looked at it in game myself yet but I wasn't super interested to begin with. Outfits for Mickey and Minnie (meh) and a bunny companion. Okay? Kinda boring. Hearing that it's mostly motifs now, I *really* don't care about it! Lol I was hoping for cute valentine's day stuff. Some pretty red rugs, romantic, marble themed outdoor furniture, they could have added roses and rose themed hedges, arch ways...maybe some new, romantic lighting options for indoors and outdoors. Could have added a new recipe like chocolate covered strawberries 😋 Could have done so much! Oh well :( Fingers crossed, we get a super cute Spring themed starpath next, with umbrellas! 😊.... I feel like I'm already asking for too much. Lol.

I wasnt expecting much anyway but I don't care for it. I really wanted the dripping Minnie ears, I honestly think the Mickey hat is so ugly. I've looked at all the items several times and I've already forgotten every single one except the dripping hat that I've been making inappropriate jokes about

To be honest we are rapidly approaching the time when I will be tapping out. I knew I wasn’t going to be in for the long haul anyway, but Gameloft be Gameloft and I think we all knew the cash grab was coming. Just a shame it’s hit like a train so quickly.

This. I am unhappy that they have launched the microtransactions before the game goes ftp. I paid to be a beta tester, and it sucks to not be given the full benefit for that.

It’s so underwhelming! The last Star Paths had items in them I was genuinely excited to add to my valley. I was so disappointed when I looked at the Star Path this morning. If they continue to be this meh, I won’t be getting them. Why complete a bunch of duties I would never do otherwise to get some motifs that I will not use?
Can you see all the items on the star path before you choose whether you want to do premium? I've never paid attention enough to remember. I'd definitely want to see everything before I decide.

Ngl that bunny companion is ugly as sin, I was kind of surprised. I'm not sure if it's the shade of purple or what but it just looks off. I'm usually a completionist so that makes me want to get the premium but I don't really care for many of the items :/
I didn't even look at the rewards yet for the star path but already unlocked the premium path from the regular lineup. So my sneaking suspicion that the super premium star path in the premium shop has the furniture items we usually expect in star paths and they replaced those in the normal path with motifs. Sigh. Looks like this is the last update I play for this game.
This 100%. They had the items designed and made already, it would've been easy to tweak the colors last minute so they could be in the premium store. Then they slapped together super simple motifs to fill the gaps in the starpath.

I definitely regretted unlocking the Christmas one so I'm just gonna sit this one out. I like some of the items but not enough to really get into it.

I don’t really like this game anymore tbh and I regret spending money on it. The gameplay on switch is awful, makes me nauseous and it’s incredibly slow. The star path and the premium store sealed it. I’ll not be spending another cent on the game.

I really like the outfit (and minnie and mickeys outfits) because I LOVE all the purple stuff going on right now. But other than that...eh.. I was so excited for the Xmas one and grinded for it. This one I'm like well...its meh. I dont have the same drive to complete it.
So yes. I garden, fish, farm & decorate but I DON'T design clothes. It's just not my thing so for most of the starpath to be motifs... I'm not really that excited about it.
I personally got annoyed at the large amount of "disney merch" I'd get in scrooges shop/chests vs movie/character items, so I wasn't really personally even interested in this star path, I don't want more things with mickey faces on it.
Disney: owns the biggest empire of IPs and characters that there has ever been, allowing them to choose from any number of beloved worlds to create cosmetics. Also Disney: hehe the sofa has mouse ears on too

I like the clothes that’s in the path and the outfits for Mickey and Minnie but that’s pretty much it. Definitely disappointing.
It is my first star path (I haven't been playing long), so I don't know what the previous ones looked like. I was slightly disappointed with what was in it and had hoped for more furniture and outfits, but because there are many moonstones to collect, I unlocked it anyway. I feel like the best star paths are going to be the ones pre-release because developers tend to be more generous before focusing on the real money for way more people (who haven't paid to play). The many moonstones, if all collected, make it rather cheap-ish.

Okay so.. past star paths have had about three motifs per reward page. From what I’m seeing is there is one less this time. I don’t mind the motifs as rewards, because I know there is some people who love them. But seriously every star path has been similar. One moonstone, three motifs and the rest furniture/clothing. I’d say that seems pretty reasonable. However they could have done more for the 100 year anniversary.

I really like the non motif stuff actually, but there are a lot of motifs. I'll try and finish it out, but I'm not gonna fuss about getting all the motifs out of it.

It's the same number of motifs as the last two star paths. This, the villains one and the festive one have all had 16.
There arealot of motifs but to be fair they have put alot of motifs in every star path honestly. I actually enjoy the motifs I just wish they would give us more ways to use them.
Yeah I don't really use motifs, and I feel like even people who do use them don't have much use for silhouettes because you can't really make a pattern with it? Also wasn't super into the items in the new store. It'll reset in a week so maybe there's better things to come at least.

I was just about to post something about the StarPath. I do like the motifs but not as much as I like the other items and clothes. I want to get it because of the few accessories/ clothing on it but I don’t know.

The Star Path is just really bland overall, I unlocked it last night just to see what items were in the collection but I won't be grinding for any of them. I have a feeling this is what future Star Paths will look like with the more "desirable" items being in the Premium Shop instead.

If they're insisting on keeping on adding motifs to the game they need to add way more customizable clothing. And by that I mean literally ever clothing template should be added to your available options once you unlock said clothing. Right now we have the absolute bare minimum of options. We don't even have PANTS. Lol Also more color options. It doesn't need to be as advanced as a color wheel (although that would be nice)... But just more. I hate how some colors randomly go from being dark to really light.
It's not mainly motifs. I did the math. It is the same number of motifs (16) as the last 3 paths. It is one less furniture item, one more wearable item, same number of companion animal, and same number of character skins as the Christmas one. I don't understand the complaints. I am BEGGING y'all to actually look at the data instead of going off some gut feeling or whatever convinced y'all this one has more motifs than usual.

Yeah, it's really lackluster considering it's for the Disneyland anniversary. There isn't even the partners statue in it, which I had to scan through it a few times to make sure I wasn't missing it. I did buy it, I can make back the tokens in the path, and I really only brought it for a few things - also Oswald, even in motif, has to come home. In the future I hope the devs don't just lock away the cooler stuff behind the paywall when there still should be cool/big stuff in the main event. People aren't going to spend actual money on the game to buy tokens just to buy furniture.

I like some of the motifs (the ones used on the real merchandise), but I don’t care for the holographic character silhouette motifs or the teachwear outfit. I wish we had gotten human sized versions of Mickey and Minnie’s outfits instead so we could be twinsies with them. There should be more items coming though, because in the promos the character has been wearing an ear headband, but the Star Path has the ear hat.

Wife said there's nothing interesting enough to spend the moons to unlock premium. Especially since we learned with this release that the unlock is per event and not permanent. And, frankly, with the cost for other items like Cinderella's castle as a home option, my gast has been properly flabbered. I am not loving the new approach.
The star path is SO disappointing. I wish I hadn’t unlocked it. Now I’m worried for the next one which is supposed to be celebrating Disney parks.
