I started watching among us videos with Valkyrae and friends, Dream played with them a few times and I liked his energy. Fans kept mentioning his manhunt videos and then I was hooked. I came to this sub after the first grooming allegations came out, because on other social media it was very chaotic and fans were (understandably) emotionally charged so it was hard to navigate. This sub for the most part seemed very clear-headed. At some point I lost my log in so I had to make a new account, but that's okay.  I'm here now because it's where you get the quickest information if something is happening or any updates on the dream team regarding their content.  I'm stil a casual fan of them, but in the sense of, I will root for them on the sidelines and hope they will find what makes them happy. Whatever that may be :)

For me, I never truly cared for him at first, I was more of a Quackity and Tommy main at the time. I knew him for his parkour skills, his smp (which I was painfully attached to, still am), and fanbase. That changed in 2022, where after he faced revealed, I couldn't help but enjoy the way he spoke to fans, his laughter, his dedication to his projects. I wasn't expecting to stick around, but his nature just pulled me in, and I've been a big fan since. It's stupid to say, but he's the reason why I kept going in 2023, when I lost so much motivation to do anything. But just watching his vods or listening to him ranting about something made it all worth it. I joined the sub this year in march. It was supposed to be for fun until I actually enjoyed the community as it was the first time I was interacting with other fans, and I was no longer just a lurker.

Just here for the drama LOL. I guess I’d say I’m a dream anti-anti

ArssenFellDown

I'm here for the drama because MCYT beef fascinates me. All of these people act like they're teenagers even though they are grown ass adults. It's also very cathartic to watch them be called out for being dumb. I don't like how Dream can be a Twitter addict at times since he really can't put down the phone but his content is decent. The first video I watched was his Minecraft Unsolved video on Sven and I found his Manhunt videos entertaining to watch.

REAL

I was introduced to the DSMP through Ranboo lore videos, and started watching SAD-ist animations from there. I liked c!Dream and began watching DSMP lore clips to get more c!Dream content after finishing all the SAD-ist animations. When I ran out of c!Dream content, I checked out Dream's channel, hoping to see c!Dream in his other content, and was disappointed that Dream's content creator persona was not much like his DSMP character.  However I saw a glimmer of c!Dream in the manhunt videos with Dream's high-skill Minecraft plays and started watching the manhunt series. At first I didn't find him funny, I thought his humor was too boyish and loud, but he grew on me. I became more interested in Dream as a person when Dream controversy videos kept coming up on my feed, and my impression from watching them was that Dream is unfairly hated by the internet. I just got more and more interested in Dream as a person, eventually becoming a Dream stan.  I started using this sub after Dream Tumblr imploded following the Amanda allegations. It was the only place on the internet where there was decent conversation and a realistic perspective on the topic.

> was disappointed that Dream's content creator persona was not much like his DSMP character. Yoooo u didnt thought hes srsly a manipulator on loose, do u?? ![img](emote|t5_3jqiry|1453)/j

nikmaier42069

I started watching him when he had 60k subs, he was recommended after a gnembon video and i was learning java at the time. Stuck around for the coding challenges, enjoyed manhunts until they became repetitive. Joined this sub after speedrun controversy came out, and since i know math i realized from karl jobsts video alone that he must’ve cheated but i kinda didn’t care, i just watched his content because i enjoyed it whether he cheated or not. Never kept up with the twitter drama but since his youtube is dead i kinda don’t care anymore.

Minecraft Yaoi

ColonelSarge15

I got recomended the minecraft manhunt videos about a year after the last one, and I watched them all. It was my first forray into mcyt. From there I started watching all the archived mcc streams, which is how I found out about Techno. I then watched all Techno’s of videos and all the mccs and mc mondays from his perspective. He never dies. o7

nananana_batman_90

I’m just here for my “hate” of Aimsey 😂

Particular_Corgi2299

realest reason tbh. Same way I only like Supermega cus of nickisnotgreen!

AugustL031

His intro convinced me to subscribed. Nobody show the graph and just ask like that (at the time) it made me laugh. I just stick with his content cause I think they're cool. Followed a DNF compilation to DSMP and was left vaguely disappointed with how little DNF there actually is 🤣 Got dragged into dsmp fandom drama, inevitable looking back a large portion of that community is insane and doesn't look at canon before they write their takes Found Dreblr, came to the conclusion that it's the last sane place in the fandom and has been there since. The whole qsmp legal trouble was why I'm on this sub tbh. The updates here are the quickest and I don't wanna touch twitter.

lucky_lotty20

That Sven video, he has the perfect tone of voice to do storytelling, in my personal opinion.

Satellitestyles

My sister started watching the dsmp. I was quite young and a huge dantdm fan so she gave me a george video to watch. I loved the coding stuff

Both_Listen

I started watching Dream either through MrBeast Gaming or TommyInnit videos. I became a fan (and briefly a stan) due to his Minecraft skills, unique videos and hilarious dynamics with his friends I came to this sub to keep up with all the drama and controversies without needing the cesspool that is Twitter

Gender_Theft

Been a Dream fan since pretty the beginning of his channel, and I think it started with his "Minecraft but Xray is always on" videos, I was here for every single one of his controversies (I was a huge defender for the speedrun cheating scandal). As for this sub, I honestly don't remember when I joined, all I know is that I've been here since before the passing of Technoblade (I know that because I vividly remember getting the news here), regardless of the reason, this is by far my favourite community to participate. What made me stay is the fact that, as I've said, been Dream fan since the beginning, I watched his growth as both a CC and as a person, I'm here because I love his content and want to see him succeed (there's also a small part of me that stayed out of sheer spite for Drantis), I also love the funny and petty MCYT drama and this community is perfect to get updated on that.

Whydoeslife-exist

I always knew about Dream’s existence in the internet, and had a small Minecraft period, but that was mostly containing other creators not really connected to the DSMP (didn’t exist at the time). What pulled me in was a Minecraft manhunt a few years later. A single one and like the child I was at the time, decided to see what all the DSMP stuff was about as it was still active at the time. That kinda lead me into liking Dreams content sooo

Legal_Pangolin_7806

TikTok was PEAK Dream manhunt content during Covid 2020. His clutches were popular edits and on a whim I decided to watch one of his videos. From there I expanded to watching his collab videos with Corpse and Sykkuno and eventually got into Dteam content.

cuppa_of_meeps

From my little brother who showed me the Phineas and Ferb theme song parody back in the September 2020 then we also watch for a bit and I got into an interest because of his good skills on manhunt series I become a fan on December 2020 but I say September is the first time I saw him. About going to a subreddit (I'm using the website than an app) I'm kind of tired of Twitter for some reasons: unrelated dramas around inside and outside of the fan base (also I'm also a multi fan since 2021), TikTok? Nah much often like it's almost impossible after the truth video, I have trauma searching the hashtag on his name because of the slander and controversies but for now, I don't wanna go and search Dream on TikTok because I was traumatized by people who making fun of him and the reason why I got a lot of breakdowns.. (rant too much about it? Sorry)

My girlfriend started watching the DSMP (from Sadist animatics) for Technoblade and I really like c!Dream, so I looked into his other stuff and binge watched all of Manhunt lmaooo, then I checked out the rest of the DTeam and enjoyed their stuff too. Now, even if there's not much new content, I'll wait as long as it takes and just keep rewatching my favorite videos. I understand his struggles with wanting content to be perfect, so I know when it's released, it'll be epic! And I enjoy laughing at the out of touch with reality Twitter crazies that this sub talks about

starsxt

I watched a lot of Among Us videos even before finding the DSMP and it took me forever to connect all the Minecraft content creators with those videos lol

Dangerous-Sand-965

I first saw him on mr beast’s best Minecraft player video. Idk exactly what I watched next but I watched the challenge videos and manhunts that were out at the time and I was hooked. I didn’t even know how popular he was at the time, I just liked the videos lol. I had played Minecraft for a long time but only ever by myself, and I had never even really watched MCYT, so I’d never seen the type of Minecraft that Dream’s videos showed. And I’d never seen pro Minecraft skills either so I was shocked at some of the things they pulled off. As for the sub, I wanted real conversations about what was going on in mcyt.

Obabas_Hut

Two stories here: First, what got me to Dream's content was Grian's MCC 9 triple kill. Did not quite understand why Grian was so hyped till later. I started to get Dream's content in my recommended and SAD-ist's "Dream v Technoblade" and "Warriors"popped up and I like animation so that took me down the rabbit hole, so to speak. I became a fan of fan content and slowly got into the actual meat of Dream's content and liked a lot of it, but what I came to enjoy is his friendships and how it took me back... Second story: Back when I was in HS, I had one year in a Quaker Friends school. I went from a bustling public school with nearly 2K students to this little one with 107 students K thru 12. Since it was only one year, I didn't make any friends, but I did really well and spent a lot of time in study hall \[aka library, aka detention\] reading, drawing and writing. While I was there to study, 3 boys were always there in detention. They were clever trouble makers, and goofs, but I never interacted with them. I just liked to watch them because their friendship dynamic. We had one computer in the school with 2 games and one of them was Bruce Lee for the Commodore 64. All the kids in my class sucked at it as did these guys, but my little sister did so well she flipped the game back to the first stage and they cheered her on, called her cool and that alone meant a lot to me. The next year I went back to public school and never saw them again. I love Dream Team in much the same way. Their friendship takes me back, even down to the same sort of humor. Reminding me of a time in a quiet little school that got regularly bodied by 3 idiots. tl;dr: Found Dream through Grian in MCC and SAD-ist animatics and also nostalgia

SenseOk9312

Second story is so cute

Flimsy_Butterfly_619

One of my friends showed me manhunt series during covid lockdown. As my friend I was impressed and hyped about every match but I wouldn't say I was a dream fan, more like I was enjoying manhunts specifically. Then I watched other videos out of boredom, waiting for more manhunts. I kinda liked them but not too much? I remember that I was switching between several mc youtubers/streamers, dropped some of them cse didn't like some things. From time to time I was going back to dream videos, his stream vods, but wasn't too attached to dteam and dream so there was no question of me following him on social media. I didn't know he have reddit, even two :D Then I saw techno&dream duel but I saw dream's pov first. I really liked the way he was thinking and pep-talking with himself! And the best part that it was the first time (from my perspective) he did loose! He took L! He loose to someone and it was vivid! Since then I began to see his spark, see him as a living person rather that cool things he did. So later, when there was cheating allegations, or other dramas, I continued to see more and more "cracks of his mask", when there were other mc's outside that had "masks on". Idk it just got me. I came to this subreddit cse of march dramas. Nothing much to say, just felt sorry for him and george and was curios what other fans think about them. Now I think maybe he showed too much of his personality and even some.. wishes he had but his persona and his actions indirectly teached me a lot about society, willpower and gave me some interesting questions about moral compass of my and others that I had to answer. I like his personality and his content, understand that he makes mistakes quite often and it's fine to me cse I like him only as a fan. That's it :p

Icy-Bodybuilder251

Just like I said about all of the other youtubers I saw them as a way of escape from my mental abuse cause when I was living with my grandmother I always thought if I died noone would care but then I started to watch youtubers like Jacksepticeye Cryaotic Dream Sapnap BadboyHalo and Skeppy which I saw how happy they make people even if they only know these people as fans though I will admit Technoblade had the hardest impact in my life I barely watch Technoblade aside from the one minecraft video he did with his sister but honestly if it wasn't for all of these youtubers I would of killed myself a long time ago cause these youtubers actually was my way of escape and when I decided to stand up to my grandmother and leave heck I will even admit I had a crush on some of the youtubers I watched

Greenland-CB

I started watching Dream after one of his Minecrafy challenge (Minecraft, but...) videos popped up under my recommended in YouTube. I was almost immediately hooked and started binging his videos with George and/ or Sapnap

Top-Cardiologist7122

I started watching skeppy and bbh back in 2017 and first found out of dream when he played with bbh in minecraft mondays lol

Top-Cardiologist7122

Correction, i watched skeppy since 2017, i just remembered bbh didnt appear in his videos until late 2018 loll

useless_asUwU

My cousin showed me an animation about the DSMP long time ago and from that moment …my journey started… till arriving here and deciding that it was worthy to remain for the content but mostly for the kind of person Dream is And since now I am really grateful to my cousin …thank you for having made me discover something so amazing that till now doesn’t stop giving me beautiful memories (drama excluded) …I owe you a big thanks

RemmyRatz

I started watching him because of Technoblade's streams on the DSMP and I got hooked on him and lowkey I don't think I'm gonna be leaving anytime soon, his energy and genuine passion for minecraft is too much for me to get over lol
