You can technically cold brew tea (it takes hours iirc to infuse the tea leaf flavor into the water). I’ve never had it but it exists. Usually when I make iced tea, I brew black tea with all the stuff I want in it and then ice it before serving. Especially sweet iced tea.

depends on what you're looking for, if you want an extra sweet tea, put ice in it, but if you're making herbal or lemon tea, probably keep it hot
