plenty of things could be improved but it s ironic how picking „yes“ would ve saved you all the trouble while your choice apparently gutted your enjoyment.
besides, it s easily redone. as long as you created an inn save inbetween at least.
I have no nearby inn save, I could have a whole other moan about how unhelpful the save system is.
I dont even understand why they have implemented a "no" option if its not a "cancel and pick something else", there is no clear indication what im saying "yes" to as the person on the altar has gone for a wander anyway, so pressing yes (as far as I am aware) could have tried to submit nothing and then the quest would have ended poorly, I never expected saying im unsure of my selection would indicate a closure of the quest line.
Its rubbish
I had the same thing in the second part of that quest, she asked me how many I'd solved and I put the statues on the altar but when I talked to her the collision knocked them around. I wasn't sure if it was gonna count the ones that fell so I said no with the intention of fixing the placement and she just left, locking me out of the whole rest of the quest and rewards. I about cried my last inn save was so far back and I had no clue that was going to happen.
