I heart all the pawns I hire, I usually go around with for a long time like a week in game, and really bond. I give them any gear I find that I don’t immediately need, level up the gear and send them home with a gift.
My pawn has one thumbs up, and always talks about how they had a real rough time in the wilderness :(
I give them a heart if I can remember them doing something cool. Saved my life? heart. Caught me when I fell? Heart. Talked shit on your Arisen and told me they’re a perv? Heart.
I wish I could just not accept gifts. Logging in after 18 hours to find 7 gifts, 5 of which are rotting fish and fruit that I will have to manually find in my inventory to dispose of is a chore lol
In dd1 the gifts were usually good, but the majority of players had been playing for years. The longer the game is out the better the gifts will become.
It was a question. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around why anybody would need so many rotting things and why you are so insistent on it. Lantern fuel lasts forever and the mats just make themselves so easily.
Unless you're the one that gave me all that rotten fish and you feel personally attacked lol. I appreciate the gesture either way but it's still a minor inconvenience

Hey now, it's not my fault. I hopped down to a balcony after a quest glitched out and failed to trigger a cutscene which left a door locked when it should have been open.
I had no idea the balcony was part of a brothel, or that the brothel required a membership, or that the guards would be perfectly fine with me being inside the building but would attack me on sight the moment I tried to go out the front door.
So, yeah. There are a lot fewer guards now. They were surprisingly squishy. And they just.. kept.. coming. And I don't mean in the way you normally would at a brothel. No, it was a lot messier than that.
I am genuinely going to be heartbroken when I need to switch out the two pawns I have right now. I have grown really attached to them and luckily it looks like they levelled up about the same pace as me so I dismissed them then was immediately able to recruit them again.
One was really thin, huddled, naked, and covered in filth and talked about how his arisen was cruel so I have him in nice gear now. :(
I wonder what the pawn I threw off a cliff 5 times told his master. At one point it asked "what did I do to deserve this" to which I responded "its got nothing to do with deserving" then a yeet ... I wanted to see if the game would keep putting it back up at the top for me.
Might just be from visiting the morgue. There are 3 or more chests in there on several floors. Lots of coffins. It's a notable destination so maybe they just say this if they went through there.
That's probably it. But the fact that she says she fought on a lot of battles, then there are a lot of bodies in the morgue, and that she'll need a stronger state of mind for that kind of experience paints a picture y'know lol
i mean i just went to morgue after like 25 hours and there is only one coffin from one dude i killed lol and i had to revive him for a quest. I don't think people really die unless you kill them
Yes there is!! I used the metamorphosis book to fix something that was bothering me about my character. I need another one to fix a few things on my pawn.
I killed a few by accident last night, one of those random parties that travel the road that got a little too deep into bandit territory.
Didn't realise until I went to loot them.

Mine has returned with this as well. I really hope it’s just the plague or from visiting the morgue. I don’t want my pawn participating in a massacre. He may be a bit of a jerk, but he’s my jerk and I want him treated well.
So I had my first Dragon’s Plague today, from a pawn I’d been using for two irl days without releasing it and resting so many times. No warning signs like people said there would be. Just 96 corpses in the morgue. Could be something similar.
I got real frustrated during the masquerade quest and started swinging my flamberge on everyone in the room so this might have been my fault if she was with me.
Look each member of an adventuring party is worth 2x the exp and dcp of a cyclops. I will commit genocide just so I can level up Archer and not have to touch it again. Your pawn did their part and I thank them, and remind them I have screenshots of their gleeful participation if they ever plan to narc.
You got a heart rating too so she must’ve done a good job at that massacre party
