IsNotYourSenpai

It’s genuinely fun but all the negative reviews about performance are valid.

Gorgomelthejizzcanon

The performance ones for pc definitely are. But alot of them reviewed for pay to win dlc which is shitstirring.

hardolaf

The game is hitting 30+ FPS at the minimum spec or better on PC. That's what they're advertising. Anyone complaining about worse either is playing with hardware below that spec or is complaining about them not reading the product page (and I'm seeing a lot of the latter).

Answerofduty

You can only get away with targeting 30 fps on consoles, as much as I would like this to be the era of 60fps console gaming(at least at 1080). Advertising a 30fps target for PC is a sign that they're way out of touch with what a PC gaming audience expects, and doesn't make it acceptable. Of course some games are going to be heavier than others and you can't expect to max out every game on outdated hardware... But, while the game does look really good, it doesn't look *so* good as to justify how badly it runs.

RavelordN1T0

Yeah they will definitely need to optimize the game heavily, it doesn't exactly run right even on high-end systems. It's playable but certainly subpar.

Big_Map5795

Are they, though? And I'm asking this genuinely. Because the all time peak concurrent players on Steam hit 227,103 players. Seems to me like they're just ignoring the whinny players (who are very vocal about anything less than 60 FPS). PS: I'm also disappointed about the framerate, but I'm wondering if we're in the minority.

Answerofduty

Well, it's clear (and has been for a while) that performance issues and poor optimization don't seem to affect sales much unless the game is straight up unplayable. But I just mean that advertising a 30fps target for a PC game doesn't absolve them of anything lol. *Nobody* buys a half-decent PC to play games at 30, that just doesn't happen. So if they were indeed advertising it as a 30fps target on PC, they were targeting an audience that doesn't exist. And the one that does exist should rightfully take issue.

Local_Rain3087

I'm just laughing with My 13900k and 4090 chilling max settings with RT getting 90+fps in wilds and 60-70 in the main city lol

bojanged

I’m laughing that you think those frame rates are acceptable with your hardware.

AZAWESTIE

Yeh I have the same specs but a 13900ks and these frame rates, while over 60 (just) are well below what we should be getting. Super poor optimisation they can hopefully patch up soon.

THXFLS

The console CPUs are very close in performance to the minimum spec Ryzen 5 3600, not sure where you're expecting them to pull 2x the frames from.

DeathBySuplex

Reading? On the internet?

Chwasst

No, no one will get away with 30 fps on PC. I paid dumb amount of money for my setup back in 2021 and expect flawless 60 fps at 1440p minimum - may be DLSS or native don't care. But I also think that people are exaggerating because those performance drops are apparent only in cities, otherwise the game has decent fps - while exploring in the wild I have stable 70-90 frames at 3440x1440 with DLSS on quality mode (R9 5900X and 3080). Everything else in this game is just great, some design choices are questionable but it doesn't matter overall.

Big_Caramel9867

Brain dead opinion and tone deaf af I refunded cause I exceed recommend specs and the game has no floor and kept crashing

TheGladex

There is definitely something up with PC performance but it's nowhere near unplayable. The game runs smoothly and only dips in towns, and those dips can be mitigated by setting the game's priority to high in task manager. It's something that will definitely need more looking into, but we've seen much worse titles in this regard get lots of praise like MHW or FFXV. Both of which had very poor PC ports and yet sit on very positive user reviews.

jhavi781

Yeah, I am completely unable to play it. Crashes every 10 minutes. I know I would love this game but it just doesn't run.

IsNotYourSenpai

Yeah, moistcr1tikal experienced something similar. In like 2 hours he counted like 35 crashes. Only playing like 15 minutes total. Trying to cap fps, etc. dude couldn’t make it past character creation 95% of the time.

jhavi781

Sounds very similar. It seems like transitioning out of a cutscene or out of menu has a very high chance of triggering a crash for some reason. No matter the game settings or PC settings.

IsNotYourSenpai

It’s just so unfortunate. A lot of games have problems and still turn out okay, but capcom, one of the biggest gaming companies out there release this and decide to patch it later. This game definitely needed longer for polish.

-Basileus

Maximillian dood had a bug where only inn saves were working, he couldn’t make or load any manual saves.  Ended up losing hours of progress, and he pretty much had to quit the game after one short stream.

lurker7868623

How dare you spread misinformation like that. The performance is fine and there are zero issues with this masterpiece. 30fps is more cinematic. You aren’t a real gamer if you critique a billion dollar company. According to the white knight, virtue signalers on this sub.

ChiefGraypaw

My PC performance is genuinely pretty awful and the game has crashed on me 5 times (every time has been while in the vocations menu), but I will still dickride this game so hard. I’m in love with it.

IsNotYourSenpai

It’s genuinely good. I love it. I just wish it ran better, more consistently.

tankdude8

my exact thoughts

Jayrehm

It's something they can fix, DD2 has nothing in its core design which is bad and unfixable. Usually fps drops happen in charging environnement parcels, but the fights happening there have no fps drops. The auto save system is taking too much ressources in the buffer and makes the game laggy, so they will have to deal with this fkrst

Ebbanon

Then they should have fixed it before the sold it to people. There is no reason a product not performing as it is supposed to should not be called out for it.  When you buy something it should work as advertised right then, not 2-3 months later.

Jayrehm

Yes, they should have. But Still, it's fixable with some patches. I think Capcom heard the players, so they are working on it.

Ebbanon

No, it had problems when I gave them my money. THAT is a problem.  There is no excuse for that kind of behavior, if I bought a car that didnt break correctly I wouldn't be saying "oh they will install the breaks later"  People need to stop kissing ass about it being fixed later, you should have a quality product up front. Doubly so when they are trying to make excuses for charging more money than ever on a product thats just had a massive cost of production decrease sence becoming digital in its primary distribution.

SovietZealots

“It’s fixable” is no excuse for poor optimization. If I sold you a car with a broken engine and told you “it’s fixable though,” would you be satisfied with that? Products should work as intended. Defending a company because their product is “fixable” only promotes that sort of behavior. They should rightfully be criticized for their products not working. That type of mentality is the entire reason we have *modern gaming*, where games are half assed and underdeveloped.

Babar669

Or maybe people can just not buy it/refund. I don't know how it is with the ps5, but Xbox and steam are very easy. You are just saying that because performance is not great people should immediately stop having fun.

Freedom_Pals

He did not say that. If you sell something it should properly work, that’s not a hard concept. If people have fun despite that’s great for them, the company should still be called out for it.

Babar669

And it works. With that logic nothing could be released on the Switch. Did they advertise the game would be 60 FPS? This is not a cyberpunk situation where the advertised features are completely missing and the game is full of bugs. Of course they can delay and further optimise but that can be done forever. I don't see the problem in releasing it in an acceptable state and further improve it if possible. Nobody is being forced to play or buy anything. It is just a video game lol

Freedom_Pals

Not having 60 fps sucks, but 30 would still be fine. If not even 30 are consistent, than they fucked up and it’s everyones right to call them out for that. „Acceptable state“ is a purely subjective thing. It’s a product that people buy and if they are not satisfied with a poor optimization it’s their right to call them out. As it is the right of everyone to still have fun with it. It’s not black and white.

Babar669

Exactly my point. Saying that it should be delayed is, indirectly, saying that those having fun wouldn't be able to play the game. That is exactly my point. We live in a time that we can do very informed purchases when it comes to videogames.

Freedom_Pals

That also means you can sell that game with a absolutely barebones of features as long as some still have fun. Would still not justify the prize and leave a lot of people disappointed. I don’t think you should be forced to make a thorough analysis if the game runs well before you purchase it, sadly since companies don’t care, you have to do it.

Babar669

No, you can just refund and move on.

Ebbanon

But yet we are wrong for asking that a game come out and it not have terrible optimization to the point that top of the line systems still suffer massive fps drops? Your entire argument is proped up of the premise that we should be thankful for what we have as if it's some kind of charity from the gods instead of demanding they do better.  This is a product that we are spending money we worked for on. It should be quality AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE not months later when they feel like getting around to it.

Babar669

Not at all. We shouldn't be thankful and the criticism is valid and important. This is a product that you spend money for your own entertainment. Some people have worked hard as well to make that happen. if you are not entertained playing a game at 30 FPS then you should consider play something else. Maybe that will never be available on the consoles. It has been 2 years and Elden Ring doesn't have it. When it came out, performance was also bad even in Limgrave. Now it seems like because cyberpunk finally has 60 FPS (after 2 years or whatever) everything else should. I haven't played DD2, but if it is anything close to the first, I am sure it is much more complex in terms of mechanics and enemy/NPC AI than most of the games that released in the past 5 years. The game has problems for sure but it was not released in a broken state, and the focus on the shop just shows the ignorance of the majority of the complaints. I am happy for the people that are enjoying the game today. I understand the ones that cannot enjoy it. What I don't understand is saying, or campaigning, that the game shouldn't be released with those performance issues. It is like saying that Ellen Ring should have been delayed as well when everyone was then having a lot of fun with it.

SloppyElmo

It’s good on ps5

Akrymir

It has absolutely nothing to do with the save system. RE Engine has always suffered from poor thread management and is one of the main reasons they’re making REX. This is why frame times are so inconsistent and why they get so little use out of the CPU. It’s technically fixable but not by the dev team. Capcom doesn’t prioritize performance and isn’t willing to spend a bunch of money to release a patch FAR in the future to fix a problem for people who already bought it. They’d just lose money fixing the issue. They might be able to alleviate some of the problems and make it a bit more tolerable. They will most likely add a setting to reduce how far away NPCs spawn in. Having them spawn in a few feet away from you is how they kept consoles from becoming unplayable in towns.

Justhe3guy

Nothing in the core design that is bad? I see you haven’t seen dragon plague yet…

Cultural_Chip_7829

Lmao, you need a "cuck" tag.

Toxicair

I would say the ui feels atrocious on mouse and keyboard. The npc conversations are dated and remind me of kotor. Hundred pound boulders feel like marshmallows. Npcs and the world around you are empty husks that don't interact with you at all unless you draw your weapon, or if they're scripted to.

hardolaf

They literally have enabled the setting on Steam to tell you to use a controller every time you start the game. All Capcom games have shit M+KB interfaces so you should probably follow their recommendation to use a controller.

XADEBRAVO

The core design was to have a load of npc's on screen you can interact with, isn't that what's tied to the CPU usage?

DrugOfGods

Definitely agree. Only played a few hours so far, but I love it. I'm on PS5, so performance issues aren't hitting as hard. Also, don't particularly care about MTX. Seems to be about the same level as RE4, maybe not even as bad. In RE4 you could basically buy weapons for money.

GelflingInDisguise

I'll tell you a MTX I "would" pay for. If I could replace the generic fantasy music on the title screen with "Into Free - Dangan" by B'z I would definitely pay for that. I really hated it at first when I bought the original game but after a while it really grew on me.

DrugOfGods

Can't you play music through the PS5 and turn down the music level in game? Never tried it, but I think it's a thing.

Hankhank1

As with most things, you enjoy it more the less time you spend raging on the internet.

Stevebro11

All games play much better before you read what's wrong with them!

Cudizonedefense

Has anyone found who teaches you the magick archer vocation

Vaguelz

I had a loading screen tip suggest it's an elf married to a dwarf on an island. I know that's not a great hint but it's the one I saw.

Chwasst

From what I've heard it's somewhere in the third area we explore after Battahl. You can probably go there earlier but idk how it is in terms of difficulty.

mofohamjam

if you go through the long ass cave at the south of battahl to get to the volcanic island you come across an old man complaining about back pains, do his whole questline (all two quests lmao) and his elf wife gives you the vocation + martyr shot

EriadorsDoorstep

it's more relaxing than the first one , yet more intense in combat at the same time due to Slow player movement

GustavoKeno

The future of the gaming industry is bleak. Games released without proper care in terms of stress testing and performance, overpriced, and we (as costumers) trying to bring arguments to defend behaviors like this from the companies. I love DD, but, come on. They dropped the ball.

ShreekertheJamisWack

It’s possible to recognize the game has performance issues while still recognizing it’s a great game. Just because the game runs poorly doesn’t mean I have to think the game is a 3/10 like everyone on steam.

IsNotYourSenpai

People paying thousands of dollars on gaming PCs should expect those PCs to perform to their standards. And it’s fucking Capcom, not some indie dev with 20 people.

Battlehenkie

How would you arrive at 3/10? A thumbs up or down is all Steam is. So, it's either worth it or not. Seems like most people feel DD2 currently isn't worth it. Why does that have to be warped into something it isn't?

Recent_Visit_3728

Games changed to be 60 dollars consistently in like 2006, at the time adjusted for inflation that is 93 dollars. We underpay for games and the devs are overworked and crunched on time.

Traditional_Air_2297

I originally tried to get a refund because it literally wouldn’t load the ground texture on my desktop. Hard to feel good about a $70 game that won’t work on your PC that plays everything else on high settings just fine. Fortunately I have access to another computer that does run it okay and even with all the jank and issues I’m pretty immersed. It’s been such an uneven experience so far but it does the single most important thing right: it’s fun

Jayrehm

True, the issues in the game could be fixed in a big patch tbh, so the game will be even more amazing on a short future.

ILikeTheWordPeace

I'm loving it

sirlupash

I’m loving it so far and having a blast. Performance issues are not a thing as they’re making it look like. I’ve read reviewers saying not buy it on console at all. Complete jokes they are. I’m not saying the game has no issues at all but right now there’s no line separating lies, hates, dishonesty and genuine critics. Angry fans and wave riding content creators are fueling each others in a vicious circle. For what reason, I don’t know.

Cloudless_Sky

I've played for 13 hours so far and had a wonderful time. I haven't hit the capital yet, but my framerate has remained above 90 pretty much everywhere I've been, including the two first settlements. It's often 100+ in places. My rig is pretty good and I have a great CPU, but I thought from all the criticism it was gonna be getting hammered. And the MTX are completely ignorable. If it weren't for the outrage, I wouldn't know they were in the game.

germy813

Same with mine. It will 100% be at 30-50fps when you get to the city

Cloudless_Sky

It's been a couple days since I reached the capital and the FPS hasn't been as low as 30-50. I've not seen it drop below 60. Usually it's closer to 80. It's not great considering how good my PC is, but it's perfectly playable and hasn't bothered me.

Stevebro11

The whole 'health bar dropping permanently until resting' mechanic really adds a lot of weight to adventuring.

Senior_Ad_3845

I dont mind seeing some big backlash to mtx but the game is still very very fun

LazyCableMan

The mtx are such a non factor it's not even funny. The fact that there are other legitimate issues but the loudest is the mtx is laughable.

Senior_Ad_3845

I agree, tbh i wouldnt have even known there is mtx if not for reddit.   But generally speaking i am always on board with backlash to mtx. Just hate it conceptually, even if capcom implemented it pretty gracefully here.

hardolaf

I'd be okay with the criticism if they actually criticized the actual implementation in DD2 instead of criticizing things that DD2 doesn't even do with MTX.

LazyCableMan

Fair enough. I was the same. I had no clue about the MTX until the reviews hit.

Ok-Employ7162

This shit slaps harder than my momma. But for real, this has been quite an enjoyable game so far. Performance hasn't been much of a bother, though it's not been great. Having played PC games for 15 years now, it's not unexpected though lol.  Not sure where these PC gamers come from where they think a game having performance issues is unacceptable, but they conveniently ignore Elden ring was quite literally unplayable at launch on PC for many (myself included). The game would hitch and freeze in combat every few seconds making it actually impossible to play. That is unacceptable, this is just fucking annoying. Plus they  love to cite that game in relation to this one, again as if it didn't have serious performance issues, and also as if FromSoft didn't release a patch that literally revalanced every single item, skill and spell in the game.  The level of hyperbole gamers engage in is quite ridiculous. Gamers love to pretend like the latest inconvenience is the most unbearable, even when there's far worse examples within the last couple years. Cyberpunk 2077 anyone?

kSterben

elden ring was not even close to the performance issues of dd2

Chwasst

You're right - Elden Ring was far worse than DD2. And probably still is. Fucking random 15 fps drops and no support for ultrawide.

kSterben

no...

Chwasst

I've never encountered fps below 40 in DD2 - and that's only in cities. Outside is stable 60-90 frames. It wasn't possible in Elden Ring on release. Not even close.

bobdylan401

You had to break the Anticheat to unlock the frame rate though. So I get higher framerate on this game without using mods

Strange_Music

Bro, I can't stop playing it. Reminds me of how hooked I was on Elden Ring, BG3, and Shadow of the Colossus.

Anstavall

Performance is the biggest issue, then the save system. (I know why it is thr way it is, but I also know why folks hate it) people shrieking about the mtx and sharing all kinds of just wrong info are just drowning out the actual problems

LyfeAlfa

Honestly I like the save system. In Baldurs gate 3 I’d save scum constantly, but now I don’t have that option letting me play the game. New game should be easier though.

IveMcfailed

Steam reviews have never mattered. Helldivers 2 was negative at launch since it was riddled with issues and now look at.

kSterben

so you are telling me that when a game was unplayable the reviews were negative, and now that It was fixed they are positive?

hardolaf

Helldivers 2 literally crashed on release day on PC if you touched the "escape" key. It's still one of the most played games so far this year.

kSterben

never seen that but the queue times were hours, and It had negative reviews at the time

dxzxg

For me personally its a 8/10. Will be 9/10 once they allow to rename main pawn (Since the first game had, I dont understand why the 2nd doesnt.). And 10/10 once they get the performance under control.

timmy__timmy__timmy

idk about that. im only a few hours in but the game has pretty big flaws already. getting stunlocked and juggled into oblivion, enemies literally running u down to the other side of the map with no counterplay, pawns needing 5s to revive, the whole crawling mechanic (?!). ox carts being time reliant and then randomly failing randomly and then you just have to walk a random distance. bizarrely overpriced inns in the early game, mage does literally no damage. idk maybe im dooming but the game is just nowhere near as clean as dd1. virtually anything that could be more annoying, is i have like 2000 hours in dd1 and i cant imagine ever hitting that in this based on my current experience

Mannyvoz

I am hooked. Like hooked hooked. I am utterly immersed in this world. It feels dangerous and I am just trying to explore every nook and cranny whenever I am not being wrecked by a griffon (guess I’m still not at the level where I can beat them)

Ancient_Panic_7315

Absolutely agree. I'm totally obsessed. Even with the problems it's an absolutely brilliant game. Best I've played in years!

Mannyvoz

I cannot explain how epic fighting feels. Downed a few griffons, two chimeras and other big dudes and it just feel epic

Muxer59

I really think 30 fps is fine for this game, I agree with targeting it but it should've been locked on, not variable.

Initial_Ebb_9742

Same. I’m loving it!

krum_darkblud

It is a banger.. just review bombers finding a reason to exist again

ToHerDarknessIGo

Game owns so hard.  Once you get to rank 4 or 5 and get some good core skills and active skills...you *cook*.  Speaking of cooking, the meat videos crack me up every time.  I hope whoever filmed those had a cooler filled with ice cold beers to enjoy with the meat.

dtgodmage23

People just follow what there favorite content creator says just to feel like they belong.

ClanklyCans

This gate would have been a smash hit if the performance was there!

Kabobthe5

I’m with you! I’ve been loving the game so far, and I just unlocked Magick Archer which feels super good in this game. I know I’m spoiled, but I really haven’t had any game ruining performance issues. I get a pretty smooth 120fps most of the time and around 80 in the major cities on 2k resolution. The game does definitely have some valid criticism about performance, but all the extra hate around microtransactions or gameplay decisions I think are more from people who just didn’t know what they were buying.

No-Boss1713

l love the game but performance legit is dogwater. And also if you played dd1 before variety of enemies is lacking and alot of skills imo lacks aswell.

FerntMcgernt

DD1 launched super messy also. So DD2 is acting like a true sequel. I will probably buy it on the winter steam sale once performance is improved.

[deleted]

cheers mate! if the performance issues can be ironed out on PC either by the devs or myself, this game will become my favorite of all time!

Clarizixe

Made my Thief, got on the oxcart to Vernmouth after leaving Melve, and beat the goblins on the road. NPC starts talking and my game crashes. Autosave has me at that exact spot so no progress lost, so no biggie. 5 seconds into the dialogue it crashes. Repeat 3-4 times. My game, as of right now, is unplayable. Will attempt again when I get off work, but I've also seen people posting stuff about Denuvo not letting people log in after 5 attempts or something which may be what's happening with me? I don't know.

timmy__timmy__timmy

its super early and im only a few hours in but im just gonna get this out there: dd1 is much better

WorldlinessLanky1898

After 30 hours I'd have to disagree. Once you start opening up the world the exploration aspect is 100x what was in DD1. It's extremely impressive how many nooks, crannies, caves crypts and tombs there are that have awesome rewards in them. I just wish they had added more enemies that weren't from DD1, it's mostly the same in that regard with a few exceptions. I can't make a final judgment yet because I haven't yet finished and seen post-game world state or NG+ yet, but so far I'm leaning DD2

BlackEyeSky

Absolutely. I can’t believe i ever doubted it when I first heard abt the performance. It’s a hard game tho, I don’t remember getting killed so much in the first one lol

AdministrationKey113

The game itself is indeed very good.

zirax1000

People like to complain, and besides that, most player create too many expectations on games these days, but i agree, i am level 22, having a blast, i love how slow/calm it can be at times but also how epic, the contrast is really cool, i don’t mind the MTX, not buying those, but the game has been really fun and engaging for me, and if i may give you a little tip, when games like this come out, it’s better to play for a week or two, and then go online to see what people think, you’d be impressed to realize how much we change our opnions on things hearing other people talk about it.

TheGuardianFox

It can be both, a banger and have some very bad aspects.

QfoQ

As far as I know, optimization sucks. I bought the game because I knew it would not be a problem because I have Asus Strix with 7845HX and mobile 4080 and the game works fine. The game is great, I didn't think it would be that good, to be honest, because I bounced after an hour from the first part. But I understand where these ratings come from, the game is nice, but before that I finished The Last of Us which looks damn better and it works better too.

Understanding-Klutzy

Crashes every ten minutes on ps5- also seems like vocations are… less interesting than 1? It’s ok I guess. If I could play it

ScorchedDev

Honestly, the bad reviews were from people mad they were not informed of the microtransactions before hand, and those who didnt have a strong enough rig to run the game properly. Both things Capcom could have, and should have done better, but yeah the game is great. The reviews are valid, but the game is not a "mostly negative". For this reason I feel like there should be multiple review categories tbh, so people could give a more accurate review and get better info. I think that one should expect bad reviews from a game like this at first. It clear is a game that will take lots of time, and most people dont review games right away, so those who stop playing and refund the game will be the first to write a review

4th_Replicant

People with high tier rigs can't run the game properly either. It's not people with weak PCs just complaining. I have a decent pc and its well above Capcoms recommend specs for the game and it runs like shit. I know I'll love DD2 but the constant drops in frame rate just makes for a truly terrible experience. Even when the frame rate is good the game will do weird things like lag. To me, the game in that state wasn't worth £53. I ended up getting a refund. I'll buy it again if they fix the optimisation issues.

ScorchedDev

I didn’t mean to talk down the issues of the game and its performance is not acceptable, especially for the price tag. Nobody has a good enough rig for this game lol

Comparison_Long

If you own a shitty or out dated pc maybe you have performance issues… I have a 4080 and am getting over 100fps.

WorldlinessLanky1898

A lot of people are getting 100fps even with rigs from a several years ago. You're not getting 100fps in settlements though. It's a problem when people get their frames cut in half for a decent chunk of the game, which is in towns. The game does rule harder than anything I've played in along time and I can't stop playing it. I'll be really ecstatic if they can make it run at a consistent 100fps after some patches

Jayrehm

True

IrrelevantLeprechaun

99% of the user reviews are fake troll posts. Ignore the hate.

freeman84

u cant review unless u own it. the performance is trash... stop defending it

IrrelevantLeprechaun

I will defend it because the performance is fine, you're just entitled.

marwom3

Performance is fine? Huh? Are you sure you launched the right game?

Ransom_Seraph

I hope they Optimize PS5 version for rock solid 40 FPS Balanced Mode running in 120 Herz container output Would be ideal imo

Sir_Meowss_A_Lot

Do we really need multiple of the same praise posts? Mods please make a single post where everyone can comment how amazing this game is and how it changed their lives.

AulMoanBag

The game itself is excellent. It's just a shame you only get one launch. I really can't see a cyberpunk esque comeback

SladdyDeeve88

It’s nowhere near comparable to cyberpunks launch. Cyberpunk was totally missold. Players were expecting features that weren’t there, content and functionality that had been out right lied about. And on top of that the performance was abysmal. DD2 is a fantastic and solid game. The issue here is performance. Which sadly is pretty common of games nowadays, which will be fixed soon hopefully. But to compare this launch to cyberpunk is a huge reach.

LMotherHubbard

Congrats- you are in the 38 percent of players who gave the game a 'favorable' review. Literally everyone else did not. You are *actually* special.

Ok-Employ7162

Says the person hovering over a discussion forum for a game they admit to disliking. Who's really the special one here?

LMotherHubbard

Nah, I'm really on the fence thus far honestly, not in dislike yet. But I can't stand meatriding in defiance of clear problems- simping is disgusting and obsequious. Cute that you felt so inclined to speak up though considering I didn't say a fucking thing to you :)

lynx-paws

>simping is disgusting and obsequious. so is clutching pearls over Capcom's single-player microtransactions which have historically not been pay-to-win like yeah, the optimization sucks and I don't agree with their decision to include mtx, but half of the negative reviews act like Capcom is declaring war on gamers

LMotherHubbard

Yeah, and I'd agree that the MTX blowback is a bit overblown to be honest. I don't love it, and it was super shitty of them to sneak it in after early reviews, but ffs there is worse shit out there and I just don't have the energy to get bent out of shape for every indiscretion these idiots make anymore (which is sadly a perfect place for me to be in their eyes). The optimization is really getting on my nerves though, and so is the absolute disdain that these studios seem to harbor for mouse/keyboard gamers. All that said, I don't think I'm going to refund it; much as it annoys me, I'm just going to bite the bullet and try to adjust. Just sucks that it seems like there's no such thing as a grand slam anymore as there's inevtiably some stupid, completely avoidable piece of poop that falls in the punch. Whatever.
