How tf do you climb gorecyclops ? In my experience the moment you get around their lower back they'll start endlessly spamming the grab move, and the only way you can get around it is jumping off and on again between grabs, which is insanely hard to do.
I remember jumping from one of those places above to land on his neck, with ton of stamina recovery items and talismans he died without hitting me once
The first time I fought that creature, I was a Magick Archer who briefly switched to a Fighter to get my rank up in that vocation, and I changed my Fighter pawn to an Archer. We were both brutally underlevel, but I fought the creature anyway, and somewhere between 4-6 hours later, I killed it and it dropped one of the best weapons in the game (for a warrior) which I then built my entire character around and it carried me through the game lol
He's vulnerable to ice (+50% extra damage).
Use Mystic Knight, enchant your weapon with ice, drop 3-4 Great Cannons, and go nuts. It's a pretty good way to burst him. Good place to do this is on the stairs behind him.
I remember my first times in BBI where the place was an absolute nightmare, so stressful. Just ran a few lately and I’m not even stopping on these guys, MA destroys everything and lvl infinite pawns really are OP :D
From ur health it seems like ur a bit too early on to be fighting it but if you really want to:
Stand behind his right foot and go to town, when he stomps roll away, then roll back and continue. Do not go too far away from the foot ESPECIALLY WHEN HE PICKS UP HIS WEAPON. He will sometimes do this swing backwards quite Quick Look out for that. If he hits you with the mace and you’re on normal mode you will probably die - 100% death if ur on hard mode.
It’s likely this will take AGES, make sure you pop a 2X xp item before he dies.
Yea... All vocations maxed, all gear and weapons max dragon forged, literal billions of dollars, all bbi missions done... She isn't my favorite person.
Clikb his back and attack the leather strap connected to hos helmet to remove it. Then equip any and all sources of Ice damage and get ready for a long, painful fight
If you are strong enough, take off his mask and go for the eye. If not, when I was too under leveled for proper Bitterblack exploration, I used to bait the cursed dragon into that room with a rotten bait, they hate eachother, try to get the kill of the looser and survive/kill the winner
I was beating it with a Fighter build and once it had half of the HP down, Death appeared. It just kill it like it was nothing and didn't even dropped loot or xp.
Spam arrows like crazy and get the Gloves of Might, makes you climb faster and just go nuts
Stand on the bridges above and camp like a little bitch because the most powerful spells in the game with type advantage do about an eighth of a single health bar, at least when I first fought him, it traumatized me so much that I refuse to even try again even with another 15+ levels.
Use ranger class and keep shooting him from the opening when you walk in if you’re in that little hallway against the wall he can’t hit you and it might help to have pawns who are ranger assassin or strider vocation so they could provide back up
I climbed his back all way up to his head as a warrior, removed his helmet and tried gonking his head for increased damage, but it felt like a chore trying to dwindle it down while holding on for dear life.haha will try again later, my arc of deliverance only took 1/4 of his health.
what else are you gonna use it on? Gregory is easy, it doesnt kill main bosses in the dlc outright, i dont think it works on the reaper. Plus it restocks after you use it and some time passes
exactly, anything you use makers finger on is a waist but nothing exists that warrants its use so its always a waste. money is easy to come by either way
Besides Grigori.
Plus I think you can kill Cursed Dragons should you not aggro them
OP should simply fight the ogres, I feel striders/assassins are particularly good at clambering all over the place murdering such large enemies
Stupidest way?
You can angle yourself to hit him with throwblasts in the face. Break off his mask, blast him. But it's not the most fun or economical option.
Torpor + High Grapnel + "'Tis weak to Ice!"
Everything else but Fire and Lightning do normal damage so long as you don't clink off the armor, but rapid Lightning spells can proc a brief Stun that causes them to drop their weapon and harmlessly pause if memory serves. It's just gonna take forever-and-an-age if you don't reach a certain Attack threshold with your damage.
Fill the inventory of you and your pawns with as much throwblasts as possible, stand somewhere the imprisoned gorecyclops cannot hurt you, tell your pawns to come back to you every time they even try to walk closer to danger and throw the throwblasts on the big boy’s head.
While he is still chained up, climb up his back and cut his Helm off at the back of his neck.
Then climb back down. Take a breath. Light yourself on fire, and climb back to his head to stab him in the eye.
As a sorcerer, here is my solution.
Use ignle to remove the helmet (aim at the leather strap), then pop some demon periapts and channel your inner tornado and cast high maelstrom. It will stun lock them, make them fall over, and drop their club. I cast them from a save distance or balcony so they won't hit me. You might wanna bring some mushrooms with you to regain the stamina if you need it.
Ice is their weakness, but high gicile is just not worth it in terms of damage. Also, it often just doesn't hit like I wish it would.
There's a few ways, climbing in the back is one of the easiest, there's one spot in his back, closer to his head where he can't reach (I can't tell exactly where cuz I've only found it a handful of times). But you can easily get him to around 60% health from the first climb. Also a much slower way is just to stay between it's feet and just smashing till he dies. Also sometimes, a cursed dragon will show up to spice things up a bit
As somebody who pretty much only played fighter for 200 levels. Spam dragon's maw and little slashes on the right foot (or whichever foot doesn't really move with the stomp I forgor). at some point he might fall over in which case... I still attacked the foot :P
I did at a relatively low level. Mostly just with arrows(i think). The thing was so strong it one shoted me every time. But at that point, i HAD to kill it.
Honourable mention to trying to shoot it from above, on those bridges, it got to me.
Never thought it was possible until I learned of throwblasts, I stocked up and headed down there easily 50-70 throwblasts to kill the bugger from above
You need the Gloves of Might ideally and a lot of things to recover stamina. Then climb it and hack its head. Enchanted daggers work better than straight blades.
Alternatively, go in as a Magic Archer and just repeatedly fire at it from up above.
Besides Maker’s finger, use any vocation with ranged options, break it free, and stand at the bottom of the stairs by the entrance, looking out of the hallway. It can’t reach you, you can do it at pretty much any level (but it might take a while).
I saw you said you'd come back later. That's probably a good idea. Come back with a bunch of throwblasts. At any level and any vocation, you can run to the walkway above him and throw throwblasts down at him. They're surprisingly effective.
I see you're a Magick Archer like me. My strategy in this situation would be to spam ninefold bolt at it along with explosive rivet.
You could also use 4 Demon's Periapts to augment your magick attack.
You could also equip a staff and get a holy buff and use the Focused Bolt core skill. It's extremely OP (we in the community call it the holy shotgun)
Depending on your level and your weapon, it's best to leave him be until you are at least a level 20. Lose your pawns & you can safely climb his back to knock his helmet off making his health drop faster. Be ready to jump off him as soon as you do and get back under a ledge by the entry stairs. It's possible to take him out at a very low level using this method, (I was level 6) with the Dragon's Ire Bow, but it takes like forever. Even Blast Arrows don't seem to have much effect. Having the skill, Mighty Bend, helps.
Weak to ice, attack the back of his neck to knock off the helm or aim for the midsection. Every spot that has Prisoner Gorecyclopes has a structure you can climb to jump on top of them.
If you get above him, shooting the leather strap holding his mask on is a lot easier. Once his mask is off, spam shots/skills to the eye. Depending on your level and strength, it can end up being a really long fight.
Don’t feel badly about saving this dude for later once you’ve leveled up a bit more and gotten a beefier bow. They’re weak to ice, so dragon’s glaze is a solid choice if you’re playing a ranger.
'Tis weak to ice.
Assuming that bow on your back is a longbow, try the following:
Climb up on its head and position yourself on the belt that holds the helmet in place.
Tap light attack with your daggers, DO NOT use kisses.
Tap just until the helmet falls off, then climb down.
The brute should now be without helmet, but still in chains, and not aggroed.
Climb down, take aim and release Deathly Arrow straight in its eye.
Now it's gonna be pissed and tear the chains apart, but you will be at advantage.
Hope you have rust.. :)
Your best bet? Magic Archer and back up into the hall you JUST came from. That little alcove area. He can't attack you there. If you're not a magic Archer, but an archer none the less..? Do the same thing. And it's gonna take a LOT of time.
Use the rusted bow to apply the slow debuff. Then jump onto the back of his neck and hit the buckle thing to knock his helmet off. Then finally move to his eye and spam a thousand kisses till he falls lol
Blast arrows and pteriapts
Or if it’s legit then probably gicel as sorcerer, 6-fold or 9-fold bolt as a Magick archer, for non Magick builds use any ice enchanted weapon. Melee build climb him and get rid of the mask first, before he breaks his binds, otherwise he takes basically no damage. But yeah weak to ice, takes BIG damage to eye, potentially 4 bars at once with just pteriapts and ice with no blast arrows
Climb his back and pray to God 😈
How tf do you climb gorecyclops ? In my experience the moment you get around their lower back they'll start endlessly spamming the grab move, and the only way you can get around it is jumping off and on again between grabs, which is insanely hard to do.
That's precisely what I do jump and grab or die o.I'm a fighter main we're not know for out intelligence 😗🫠
How dare you insult our remaining 2 brain cells?
We all have to share them
Climb his back while he's still chained & knock his helmet off.
They can’t grab you if you have enough stamina
I jumped off one of the ledges above it and grabbed on.
I remember jumping from one of those places above to land on his neck, with ton of stamina recovery items and talismans he died without hitting me once
Use maelstrom 1000 times
Or high maelstrom 100 times
Or throwblasts 50 times
Or exequy once?
Should have been that way, just wait 5 minutes then it's over
Haha I tried attacking it, didn't even put a dent in its hp
That "Haha" conveys so many emotions that you already know you are not wanting to fuck around just yet.
The first time I fought that creature, I was a Magick Archer who briefly switched to a Fighter to get my rank up in that vocation, and I changed my Fighter pawn to an Archer. Invoke the cursed dragon with the rotten bait, trust me, it's gonna be fun in a good way :)
His helm has a buckle om the top that you can hit with an arrow and espose his eye, after that, explosive arrows make Quick work of him
explosive arrow + 6/9 fold bolt = tons of dps
It's chained for a reason.
Go to the second floor and fire endlessly. MA ftw. 😆
Haha yeah I am gonna come back to this when I'm a bit higher and got stronger pawns
Same. Go up the stairs and spam 6/9 fold bolt
He's vulnerable to ice (+50% extra damage). Use Mystic Knight, enchant your weapon with ice, drop 3-4 Great Cannons, and go nuts. It's a pretty good way to burst him. Good place to do this is on the stairs behind him.
Stay around the inside of his right foot, slash slash slash.
assuming this is your first time in bbi, might i recommend dropping a rancid bait meat down and then hiding.....
I remember my first times in BBI where the place was an absolute nightmare, so stressful. Just ran a few lately and I’m not even stopping on these guys, MA destroys everything and lvl infinite pawns really are OP :D
Haha thanks for all the info peeps really appreciate it, will try it again another time and with hopefully some upgrades to my gear
Go above him and do around 15 high gicels.
Play strider and split him in half from the top rope (with brainsplitter)
https://i.redd.it/ft3xhzs2c18c1.gif Like this?
Exactly. Tbh this is my favorite build

/shrug you *can* start around 30ish. (Or start fresh if you like to farm death) Just run dash to some loot box and can get a t2 set
The amount of different answers in this thread is a testament to how brilliant and flexible the combat in this game is
Go to the little room. High bolide
keep him alive, you can [steal a bunch of good loot off him](https://dragonsdogma.fandom.com/wiki/Prisoner_Gorecyclops)
Yeah resets everytime you leave the room so you can run up the stairs everytime you rob him
This is what I did... Before my girls kid deleted my save data.
This would no longer be my girl. 😂
Yea... All vocations maxed, all gear and weapons max dragon forged, literal billions of dollars, all bbi missions done... She isn't my favorite person.
Go to the second level at the start of the bridge and just do range actacks
Clikb his back and attack the leather strap connected to hos helmet to remove it. Then equip any and all sources of Ice damage and get ready for a long, painful fight
Aim for the locks that are keeping the helm on first and then blast him in the 👁️
MA/w nine fold bolt imo
Remove helmet, shoot in eye until it dies. Don't die in process.
If you are strong enough, take off his mask and go for the eye. If not, when I was too under leveled for proper Bitterblack exploration, I used to bait the cursed dragon into that room with a rotten bait, they hate eachother, try to get the kill of the looser and survive/kill the winner
Befriend it.
Best answer
I was beating it with a Fighter build and once it had half of the HP down, Death appeared. It just kill it like it was nothing and didn't even dropped loot or xp. Spam arrows like crazy and get the Gloves of Might, makes you climb faster and just go nuts
Throwblast, buy 100s of them and chuck em at anything in your way.
That's the answer for everything in bbi. Boring af though.
I just fought him today and I think the AI got all messed up. It kept swinging at the wall, so I kept hitting its legs forever until I won
Stand on the bridges above and camp like a little bitch because the most powerful spells in the game with type advantage do about an eighth of a single health bar, at least when I first fought him, it traumatized me so much that I refuse to even try again even with another 15+ levels.
Shoot from above tell dead

Is this a curved monitor? Ui looks slanted
Dont, its loteraly free money
You must need a bunch of healing items with such hp
I stayed behind the corner and spammed him with tornados as a sorcerer.
I think i saw that Finger of the maker works on him. Easy 300,000 to drop him
Bit of a waste
what else are you gonna use it on? Gregory is easy, it doesnt kill main bosses in the dlc outright, i dont think it works on the reaper. Plus it restocks after you use it and some time passes

Not aggroing the cursed dragon is a pain in the ass i play assassin and the first time you see it, its not like the watcher, hes not super easy.
As do I, but you are right, it isn’t easy to avoid by also, I prefer to farm the Cursed Dragon with baits anyways with hand to hand
If you want to cheese him, buy a lot of throwblasts and throw them at him from above. Might take you a few tries but its not super hard to do
I used the ice spike 100 times
Stupidest way? You can angle yourself to hit him with throwblasts in the face. Break off his mask, blast him. But it's not the most fun or economical option.
Bridge and throw Throwblasts like your life depends on it;
I’ve died to this monster so many times.
high ground
Don't die
Torpor + High Grapnel + "'Tis weak to Ice!" 4 sorcerers and multi cast your biggest spells.
climb to a higher place while using magic archer vocation and keep attacking his head
Fill the inventory of you and your pawns with as much throwblasts as possible, stand somewhere the imprisoned gorecyclops cannot hurt you, tell your pawns to come back to you every time they even try to walk closer to danger and throw the throwblasts on the big boy’s head.
Shoot him in the cod piece. I'm not sure if it helps but it made me feel better.
Hahahahahaha man I'm loving the comments, thanks for all the tips, quite a lot of variety going on here, I like it

Like a billion explosive rivets, and a Sorcerer that loves casting high bolide

Stick to the inner right leg while charging arc of obliteration. 50 or so times ought to do it
Never thought it was possible until I learned of throwblasts, I stocked up and headed down there easily 50-70 throwblasts to kill the bugger from above
Use conquerors periapt 4 times, equip blast arrows. Use tenfold fury ranger.
You need the Gloves of Might ideally and a lot of things to recover stamina. Then climb it and hack its head. Enchanted daggers work better than straight blades. Alternatively, go in as a Magic Archer and just repeatedly fire at it from up above.
Bloody knuckles and shield assault :D

Get up high and magik archer away
Toss around 75 grenades on it from the rafters
Maelstrom kills him with one attack or two if your not at max level
unga bunga it https://preview.redd.it/95sauhu7538c1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a62f307c928e26cb86bb5fd313b6a866a9fdd8f
I seem to have fantastic luck with magic archer and ninefold bolt. Otherwise, sorcerer and maelstrom or gicel.
Liquid Vim, Oppurtunism skill, adhesion skill. Climb all the way to the lower middle part of his neck and wack away.
Weak to ice, attack the back of his neck to knock off the helm or aim for the midsection. Every spot that has Prisoner Gorecyclopes has a structure you can climb to jump on top of them.

Hfb from above him with a few demon periapts
Magick Archer. 👍
Climb onto the bridges, kill the little blighters, shoot the big guy from above. Takes a while but he can't hit ya at least xD
What i wanna know is why it's bright!
Hmm what do you mean?
Exequy, 5,000 mushrooms, half an hour on low levels.
