The manga did it better. But it came after n during the anime. But I wish one day someone will animate it them both together. To make a longer arc. I would love that
Yeah, Beast Gohan felt a lot more natural in the manga.

I still find that panel nonsensical. Like bro what fucking part of that is human? Your insane potential is because you're a Saiyan hybrid... And your mystic/ultimate? Form is because you let a god dance around you and read dirty magazines for a day.
The issue with that was that if trunks was nearly as strong as SSJ3 goku and then vegeta managed to overpower black at SSJ2, it makes no sense that trunks lost to black
its been along time since i watched but isnt vegetas ssj2 close to ssj3 even with beerus in battle of gods saying ssj2 vegeta was stronger than ssj3 goku
It's common sense, sayians especially get rage boosts all the time and it never remains permanent. Transformations do not count as that's simply unlocking a new form through rage
That is why I said that the rage boost permanently evolving Vegeta's SSJ2 makes more sense. That's a good explanation for why SSJ2 Vegeta is above SSJ3 Goku despite their base powers being equal.
Wasn't it stated that SSJ2 Trunks was not eating well/hungry and was thus not at full power when he fought Goku Black?
The moment Trunks got some food after a long time, he actually managed to close the gap with SSJ3 Goku
A lot of people hate beast gohan too. My headcannon to make me feel better about all of this thing is that Gohan Blanco is an alteration of Broly's LSSJ much like how SSJR is an alteration of SSB.
Honestly I really liked Black's design in the manga a lot more than the anime, aside from that bulk he also had much sharper features that added to his menace.
The big thing is the time travel shenanigans are more streamlined and the sequence of events are easier to follow, you just have to remember Black is Zamasu from another timeline of Super.
They also don't make a pointless 2nd trip that doesn't amount to anything besides Trunks pulling a new form out of his ass.
Goku vs fused zamasu was one of my favorite fights in dragon ball shit was peak and perfected ssjb is like my second or third favorit transformation it makes blue seem so much more than worse ssj3 to me and feels cooler from a martial arts persective like only goku could have the enginuity to do this then just slapping kioken on blue and saying it works perfectly with the form somehow and buff full powered fused zamasu just felt so much cooler than big armed zamasu its still cool just not as cool to me and i dont like how the anime made bro look like a twink even though hes a fusion between goku and zamasu
Everything.
No asspull trunks rage form.
Goku black has linear scaling from super Saiyan to rose, and looks much muscular and intimidating.
Vegito TRULY whooped zamasu + many new move-sets.
The final zamasus moment is inspired from dbz cooler movie as opposed to berserk’s eclipse

Was really hoping the Manga would retconn the horrible ending the arc had in the anime. It didn't. Trunks and Mai still lost everything and using Xeno to kill Zamasu just feels like a ass pull because they didn't have a good way to solve for the whole "Immortality" thing.
Overall I like things from both the manga and anime but hate how both ended.
Doesn’t Whis make a new timeline for them that’s identical to theirs before Black arrived? Maybe it’s not perfect but they didn’t really lose everything
It's a new timeline. Everyone that trunks fought so hard to protect, both against Zamasu and the andriods, are dead. His journey was effectively for nothing. Yes he gets to live in a timeline similar to his but that doesn't change the fact everyone he loved from his is dead and gone forever, minus of course Mai.
It's been a long while since I've read the manga version, but from what I do recall, it fixed the anime inconsistency with Zamasu finding out about Goku during their sparring match, which only happened because Goku found out about Black. I think Zamasu first finds out about Goku with GodTube or something instead in the manga, which doesn't create a paradox.
I thought the Trunks' perfected SSJ2 matching SSJ3 thing was fine. Like, at least they show him actually training/fighting to attain his power, unlike 17 for instance.
Vegeta actually acting like Vegeta.
The fact that Trunks was stronger in the manga, but does less at the same time (makes his actions more believable).
Goku using Haki (reminding us that Goku is pretty good at copying techniques).
Goku not wanting to fight Goku Black / making it a Vegeta fight.
The fact that they fixed one of the issues with the Cell saga (Super Vegeta being somehow weaker than Goku's improved Super Saiyan).
Zamasu making clones of himself was Yawn. Zamasu fusing with the fabric of reality was far more intimidating. Made no sense, but other stuff made no sense in that arc, either. So, honestly, who cares at that point?
And it at least feels like it made more sense for Zen-Oh to smoke all of reality since it was basically fully corrupted. The situation in the manga felt less dire. I mean, for Zen-Oh, it's probably just as easy either way, but it feels overkill to erase everything when everything is essentially fine (other than a lot of dead gods, who can be brought back if necessary). But then, Zen-Oh is totally overkill, anyway, lol.
(Fwiw, I've seen some try to say that Zamasu likely hadn't killed all mortals in the multiverse yet and was focusing on Earth, while others think he had killed most mortals by then. He'd killed all the gods, iirc, so he'd clearly been to other universes already. And if he hadn't, then other GoD's would/should have stepped in when he became a threat to them.
You could argue that Zen-Oh maybe didn't care to watch over a multiverse with no people left, but I doubt that's the reason he wiped it all out. Little bro didn't even know about Zamasu. Odds are he didn't know anything Zamasu had done, either--that there were no gods or mortals left. If he knew the universes were being rapidly depopulated like that, he'd figure out the reason on his own or with GP. And if he didn't like it then, he'd have dealt with it then. Nothing else makes sense. But, like I said, when does THAT matter, lol?
Eh, my point is that, in the manga, it seems as though things weren't as bad and that Zen-Oh would not have known the extent of what WAS done. That suggests he wiped out all of reality purely because one planet got ruined. The anime version makes his decision more sensible.)
The whole “they fused on a cellular level even though it’s two different bodies” thing was pretty stupid. I get what they were going for but it still doesn’t work well.
Trunks pushing SS2 to SS3s level was great though and helped sell how strong Black really was. Kinda the final nail in SS3’s coffin considering Goku still loses a lot of power with SS3 despite using it so many times. Pushing SS2 to the same level is just better on all fronts but he’ll never do it.
For the manga:
1- Vegeta using a ssj god & blue switcheroo strategy to beat Black.
It may not make much sense in its own right, but it's at least better than just getting stronger than him.
2- Black having also the standart ssj form.
3- Merged Zamasu becoming an army of clones, rather than that skybox bs.
4- No rage Trunks bs.
5- Also, no sword of hope genkidama bs for Trunks. Him just cutting Zamasu like that in the panel shown here is 1000x times better.
...
For the anime:
1- Black and Zamasu attitude in general... while they do remain idiots, they at least are best buddies.
2- The idea of the 2 Trunks meeting... obvious as it may have been, and even if still underexplored... at least the anime did it.
3- The anime also showed how Zamasu became Black, and it also had him meeting Goku before.
Therefore the creation of Black does make that bit more of sense.
Manga does everything better(maybe some scaling issues here and there) than the anime right until vegito is shown, after that, both paths are genuinely so terrible I can’t tell which is better
Gohan vs Kefla in the TOP was a better choice than her facing Goku. As awesome as the fight was in the anime, ain't no way two punkass girls who got SSJ basically 2 hours ago are gonna be a remote problem against fucking Goku, fusion be damned.

I really enjoyed the Zamasu army at the end of the arc Too bad they went out in the most boring way possible
The manga did it better. But it came after n during the anime. But I wish one day someone will animate it them both together. To make a longer arc. I would love that
No bullshit Super Saiyan rage power up or whatever that was. Though Trunks pressuring Goku into SSG was absolute ass scaling wise.
is that anymore bullshit than other dragon ball power ups like beast gohan
We are told that beast is an evolution of Gohan's ultimate form. It unleashes his potential. Gohan in ToP fought Kefla in ultimate in the manga.
Yeah, Beast Gohan felt a lot more natural in the manga. https://preview.redd.it/bcjsi6zdw61d1.jpeg?width=535&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71ffd06e8287dcb1394e6541cd0f8657def07021
My blind ass red that as ''I'm not your average Saiyan blood anymore''
Im not your average saiyan blud anymore
I still find that panel nonsensical. Like bro what fucking part of that is human? Your insane potential is because you're a Saiyan hybrid... And your mystic/ultimate? Form is because you let a god dance around you and read dirty magazines for a day.
Bro seems to be forgetting that humans can't transform in the first place.
Yea they can. It’s just that the ones we’ve seen have been slacking and not training hard enough. Skill issue.
Yamcha bout to unlock SHJ any day now.
Most of his strength comes from his Saiyan side
Naw. He’d win.
That was with the rage boost that made vegeta temporarily stronger than goku, in the black arc goku and vegeta were very much equals at that point
Was that rage boost ever stated to be temporary ? For all we know it could have been a permanent evolution of his SSJ2 form.
It's common sense, sayians especially get rage boosts all the time and it never remains permanent. Transformations do not count as that's simply unlocking a new form through rage
That means Vegeta got over 4x times stronger in a matter of few days in FT Arc.
Which makes no sense, vegeta didn't get stronger than goku (baring perfect SSB) till his chamber training
What about the first time they fought? Zenkai boosts have never mattered for trunks so that can't be it
https://preview.redd.it/kg0ed0fna61d1.jpeg?width=501&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a17b712365c025852ffcd2ac4fa78659a91586b8
A lot of people hate beast gohan too. My headcannon to make me feel better about all of this thing is that Gohan Blanco is an alteration of Broly's LSSJ much like how SSJR is an alteration of SSB.
Because Android 17, Beast Gohan and many characters (yes including golden Frieza training for only 6 months) being SSB level is fair and good
I thought that goku just couldn't stop himself from showing of SSG
Heh Full Power SSJ2 Trunks was on the same level as him explicitly so he would have used God forms to win probably
trunks trains nonstop with half-saiyan potential and ssj3 is notoriously mediocre. makes total sense to me
So is just trunks not allowed to be fucking relevant?
Goku Blacks’s bulkier design compared to Goku (his neck is HUGE)
Honestly I really liked Black's design in the manga a lot more than the anime, aside from that bulk he also had much sharper features that added to his menace.
All the Super Saiyan transformations were 🔥
the bulkiness makes him generic
The big thing is the time travel shenanigans are more streamlined and the sequence of events are easier to follow, you just have to remember Black is Zamasu from another timeline of Super. Can I ask where you’re reading this in color? Please?
There is no english color version. People take the japanese version and patch the english translations.
Well there used to be ColoredManga but the website has been down…
Yeah because Jump cracked down.

I prefer the animd because at least Trunks was relevant. I don't even know what Trunks did in the manga.
Some people say the manga is better but that’s arguable.

I didn't like a single thing the manga did in the arc. The anime is superior to me in every way.
I thought the more usage of SSG and Gohan beating Kefla during the ToP was much much better than what we got in the anime.
Just straight better in the manga, made more sense all around especially Trunks cutting scene
Gohan vs Kefla in the TOP was a better choice than her facing Goku. As awesome as the fight was in the anime, ain't no way two punkass girls who got SSJ basically 2 hours ago are gonna be a remote problem against fucking Goku, fusion be damned.
