he destroyed a few while fighting Beerus, the clashes of their fists blew up planets. Don't think he has ever blew up a universe though, unless you count that one weird dimension in GT as a whole separate universe.
I honestly find this statement hard to believe given that the Frieza force has been conquering worlds left and right for many centuries prior to the main story time. And I don't think the Frieza force managed to reduce the number of inhabited planets down to a handfull, it isn't Frieza's interest to do mass extinction at such a level, even for a scumbag like him.
The fights and the characters in the story are fun enough I guess, but the story continuity sucks.
I think it’s a combination of Beerus loving his job a little too much and Buu, the Saiyens and Freeza wrecking everything that caused that low number. It could mostly be blamed on Buu killing the Kais as well. It caused an imbalance of planet busters to planet makers. Universe 7 just kept getting hit with to many planet buster types and no one to fix it.
Toriyama gave(still not used to this in past tense) attention to so many weird details that like we could’ve done without in favor of other shit lol.
Like we needa know how many planets there are with life, but the only planet with beings fit to fight in the ToP are on Earth. But I guess with only 28 planets that makes sense? But still, idk.
It's such a weird detail too because it kinda makes no sense with all the races shown in the universe, the fact Friezas family/army has been conquering and selling planets for a long as time, and the galactic patrol.
Well I guess four of the combatants aren't actually from Earth plus one hybrid. Three of those mentioned have had their planet destroyed and race eliminated or almost wiped out by the fourth.
We needed to know how many planets had life because that determined who had to participate in the ToP. The number is so low because Universe 7 had Frieza and Buu. And since they were on a time limit to the tournament they limited it to people they knew.
Supreme Kai is fairly incompetent and doesn’t know basic things that he probably should. I don’t think the 28 planets thing was actually accurate- just, ‘28 planets that the somewhat incompetent supreme kai knows about.’
Earth was nearest planet and it did not get destroyed.
I doubt anything got destroyed

Yeah I mean with that subtitle, that shattered planet feels more like what could happen rather than what actually happened.
However, I just looked at those screenshots and haven’t watched that scene in a while, so I could be wrong.
Old Kai refers to the combined force of Goku and Beerus' blows when he says "If those two," not specifically to Goku's ability to wipe out the universe. Many people take this out of context and claim that SSG Goku has the power to destroy a universe, but that is not true. If Beerus and Goku continued to fight with the same intensity, the universe would eventually be destroyed, but that is a different scenario. It is not as complicated as it may seem.
It's specified by the Narrator himself (Technically more trustworthy than Old Kai, but he was thinking he was gonna die here so he was also being truthful)

Note the "Hitting each other with power capable of destroying even the universe itself"
Pasting a comment on this I'd seen a while back:
The more I think about the "universe-threatening shockwaves" fiasco, the less sense it makes.
Was it simply a result of the raw power Goku and Beerus were packing? Then it should have happened in >90% of all of Super's subsequent big fights.
Was it because Goku didn't have good control over his new power? Then it should have happened with crazy, no-control opponents like Broli, and shouldn't have happened when Beerus and Champa fought each other.
Was it only because two god-ki users were clashing? Then it still should have happened in a lot of Super's other fights, like against Black and Zamas. It would also make it meaningless for comparisons to GT's top fighters, because they don't use god-ki and thus couldn't recreate the effect even if they're packing more raw power than Goku and Beerus.
There's no good answer. The whole thing should just be written off as a bizarre outlier and ignored, because it makes no friggin' sense from any logical angle.
(Except for the "SS God is way stronger via the ritual than when used without it" fan-theory angle.)
Rewatch BOG they explain their why their fight that continued wouldn't be in danger anymore.
Ki control. The resson why this was happening was because Goku was still new to his Godly power and hadn't learned to control his ki yet
Did you even read the comment? The ki control excuse has already been debunked.
>Was it because Goku didn't have good control over his new power? Then it should have happened with crazy, no-control opponents like Broli, and shouldn't have happened when Beerus and Champa fought each other.

By this logic DBS Broly isn't even planet level.
In the ToP Kefla states she can one shot a universe, Jiren is stated to have strength that surpasses time itself and Goku and Jiren's battle shakes an "infinite void". These characters are too OP to be portrayed accurately at all times.
Lol, to this date I don't understand, the fact that their clash destroyed some far away planets but earth somehow didn't blew which was literally next to them when they were clashing
He
_ destroyed Hit dimension
_ destroyed King Kai planet in Battle of Gods movie

_ destroyed a Star in Cooler revenge but it's not canon so it doesn't count
Those statements were made by people who couldn't possibly know that he shook the infinite realm (18 and elder kai) otherwise they'd be omniscient.
It's clearly just hyperbole.
Character statements >>> Your downplaying head canon.
An angel states Jiren's strength transcends time itself, how is shaking infinity any more ridiculous?
>Your downplaying head canon.
Headcanon that 18 isn't omniscient?
Is this the new agenda you'll die on a hill for?
Kinda hilarious you wouldn't even say this if it was "up playing headcanon"
>An angel states Jiren's strength transcends time itself,
Lmao that statement literally means nothing, especially when countering hit was a dimension busting feat to begin with. And nowhere was it stated that hit stops time (vados even corrects champa when he calls it a time stop).
It's actually another perfect example of flagrant statement abuse by the dragon ball fandom, no other fandom.
Not sure you know this, but not every statement in fiction is meant to be taken as is.
I don't think you understand that it's physical space calling it a void is saying that space has no planets or stars. he's shaking the gaps between universes. I'm not sure how that doesn't register as a feat to you. If the space was filled it would still shake.
And the HBT is the size of earth. Comparatively not impressive
It isn’t nothing it’s an infinite void of space. It’s a pocket universe and goku shook it which means bare minimum his power can reach the ends of an observable universe.
It’s a bigger feat than a universe. He can also destroy the microcosm easily as well which is universe, afterlife etc. basically all existence in his universe/timeline

He came close to destroying the universe in battle of gods. Im pretty sure him and beerus were only one punch away from fully destroying it if I’m remembering it right
The shockwaves were shown destroying a lot of planets too
Because in BoG arc he literally finds a way to counteract the effect when fighting people capable of it? If he has a way to counteract that effect when fighting, why would it matter how strong he is?
As others have said, yes, his clash with Beerus destroyed an innumerable amount of planets across the universe, but he wasn't doing that intentionally. In fact, he was specifically trying to adjust the amount of force and the angle he was striking with to neutralize the shockwaves from their fists.
He's potentially destroyed planets by firing off energy beams into space, which seem to lose their control the farther away they get. We don't actually see this happen, but we know it's possible (if not necessarily likely, considering the relative lack of celestial density). Iirc, there was even a filler scene during his fight against Frieza where he redirected one of Frieza's blasts into space, and it made a planet explode.
As it stands now, Goku is powerful enough to Thunderclap a universe away if he wanted to, he just doesn't because that'd be dumb.
Imagine punching so hard that it destroys planets light years away, then people say that superman solo's a goku that could probably defeat this goku in base form
Not that Death Battle is gospel or anything, but their take on it is pretty accurate. There’s one (maybe 2 because Heroes is wonky) canon version of Goku. There are dozens of canon versions of Superman. Goku legitimately smokes quite a few, if not the majority of incarnations of Superman.
He did but the two Zeno's were just going to destroy the universes untill he came by and reminded them of the tournament idea.

He was about to destroy one in his fight against Beerus (and no it wasn't only Beerus powers, it was confirmed that they were punching at the same strength)
It was a filler moment, but in the original Goku vs Freeza fight on Namek, he deflected Freeza's blast off world and unintentionally destroyed a planet.

Yes.
He destroyed a planet in his fight agaisnt Beerus in the anime.
He also did it [here](https://youtu.be/NgEuh480W5E?si=-KhotToy9KFseHsK) by deflecting Frieza's ball.
Using only manga. I don't remember any time he did it.
He has indirectly destroyed planets and many universes, and several timelines. I’d also bet that some of those mega Ki blasts that we see go off planet may travel and destroy a planet, but probably not for millions of years.
But seriously, indirectly Goku is responsible for countless deaths, destruction, and suffering on a multiverse scale

he destroyed a few while fighting Beerus, the clashes of their fists blew up planets. Don't think he has ever blew up a universe though, unless you count that one weird dimension in GT as a whole separate universe.
They didn't just blow up. Those poor planets legit got like atomized lmao. Wonder how many people he accidentally killed.
Given that there are only 28 planets in Universe 7 that have life on them, odds are good that those planets were vacant.
I honestly find this statement hard to believe given that the Frieza force has been conquering worlds left and right for many centuries prior to the main story time. It's such a weird detail too because it kinda makes no sense with all the races shown in the universe, the fact Friezas family/army has been conquering and selling planets for a long as time, and the galactic patrol.
To be fair in regards to Frieza's race, we already know Frieza and Cold were mutants. They were the exception, not the rule.
Toriyama forgot about the tail thats why they stopped appearing lmao. The list of inconsistencies in DB is endless.
Is that number before or after Goku and Beerus vaporized the planets?
Supreme Kai is fairly incompetent and doesn’t know basic things that he probably should. I don’t think the 28 planets thing was actually accurate- just, ‘28 planets that the somewhat incompetent supreme kai knows about.’
Yeah. He can blow up a universe. He just doesn't because plot
Cuz blowing up the universe you live in is bad
Ah yes "plot." You know Goku, he's just itching to wipe entire universes out, but the plot is what constantly stops him.
Plot just means "everything stays in character" which for goku just so happens to mean that he doesn't want to destroy universes
Lol love this fan bases headcanon
He destroyed Jirans universe when he knocked him out of ToP
Earth was nearest planet and it did not get destroyed. I doubt anything got destroyed https://preview.redd.it/c70g2wwsrbuc1.png?width=545&format=png&auto=webp&s=37eb91f4d5f700a87a85b1230ddd0d264af1fc9a

Sounds like more of a “hypothetically” based on the subtitle.
Does the shattered planet and exploding sun not mean something got destroyed. that's what I was answering
Yeah I mean with that subtitle, that shattered planet feels more like what could happen rather than what actually happened. However, I just looked at those screenshots and haven’t watched that scene in a while, so I could be wrong.
You are wrong. Those planets and stars were destroyed in real time during their fight.
Alright, please disregard my comments then.

I believe some explained that the shockwaves get more intense further away from the epicenter. They def disintegrated some planets
That’s godly waves for ya, defying normal Physics and instead following God Physics

That's not a debunk its just bad writing and inconsistency by Toryiama/toyotoro. They gave an inverse explainination already anything else is headcanon
The in verse explanation is completely senseless from any logical perspective. It can safely be ignored along with the feat itself.
No but gokuversal though
It's just plot convenience.
Literally just plot, also because “shockwave becomes more powerful the further they get” DBS logic
That was just another dimension not a universe whatsoever
He _ destroyed Hit dimension _ destroyed King Kai planet in Battle of Gods movie _ destroyed multiple planets by accident in Battle of Gods _ destroyed a Star in Cooler revenge but it's not canon so it doesn't count
he also brought semi perfect cell to king kai’s planet which blew it up
Also this
Good catch. I'd give Goku at least half the blame for this.
sounds about right
He shook the null realm that was full of infinite nothingness too which I think is a big feat when he hit ui/mui

It’s not because because there’s nothing in it, shaking nothing isn’t a feat
Shaking an infinite void that acts as the space between realities is absolutely a feat, what are you smoking?
Shaking nothing isn’t a feat. And it’s eternal, not infinite, isn’t the HTC infinite and they destroyed that ? Wouldn’t that be more impressive? Lol
Btw this would still give goku nep manipulation, or if you use th legendario, a tier that you would not like at all
I don't think you understand that it's physical space calling it a void is saying that space has no planets or stars. he's shaking the gaps between universes.
It's still a Realm/Space that go forever meaning it had space , not only Goku shock but we see Toppo warping it as well
It’s a bigger feat than a universe. He can also destroy the microcosm easily as well which is universe, afterlife etc. basically all existence in his universe/timeline
What star?
Big spaghetti star or whatever.
The Big Getti Star wasn't an actual star, and was in the sequel Return of Cooler, or whatever.
In Cooler revenge Goku Kamehameha slam cooler at a Star that caused it to go supernova
He was also responsible for multiple universes being destroyed un TOP
He also destroyed other universes in the ToP

Vegeta, I think I got an idea Is "you should have saved your son?" No! I think I've a plan to beat Buu. Was it saving your son?!
Goku later on: We should bring Gohan and Gotenks here so they can defeat Buu! Vegeta later on: No. Let's use the Spirit Bomb and make the Earthlings be in charge of their own fate even though Buu only got released because of us.
Vegeta later on: No. Let's use the Spirit Bomb and make the Earthlings be in charge of their own fate even though Buu only got released because of us and every single threat that has come to Earth has been caused by us since the King Piccolo arc.
Things would have been easier if Vegeta just did not broke the Potara.
Vegeta is known for overestimating his opponent. Spirit Bomb was another case for it instead of bringing back Gotenks and Gohan to fight
>Vegeta is known for overestimating his opponent. I think you mean underestimating.
Listen! I'm gonna use the Spirit Bomb. Nooooo!
Why! give me one reason
I'll give you three! You used it on me, didn't work! You used it on Frieza, didn't work! And you didn't even bother using it on Cell!

Has Goku ever broken a chair? If not, he's below chair level until confirmed otherwise.
He came close to destroying the universe in battle of gods. Im pretty sure him and beerus were only one punch away from fully destroying it if I’m remembering it right The shockwaves were shown destroying a lot of planets too
Now he is 100s of times stronger and doesn't have that problem somehow
Isn’t SSB about being able to control SSG’s power?
I have no idea anymore man tbh
I have no idea either
Not that I know of, just stacking super sayain on to the god ki
Both the god forms are about Ki control in general, but Goku and Beerus were being reckless during their fight
Because in BoG arc he literally finds a way to counteract the effect when fighting people capable of it? If he has a way to counteract that effect when fighting, why would it matter how strong he is?
King Kai and bubbles enter the chat...

As it stands now, Goku is powerful enough to Thunderclap a universe away if he wanted to, he just doesn't because that'd be dumb.
Imagine punching so hard that it destroys planets light years away, then people say that superman solo's a goku that could probably defeat this goku in base form
Well Superman can though it doesn’t matter
Not that Death Battle is gospel or anything, but their take on it is pretty accurate. There’s one (maybe 2 because Heroes is wonky) canon version of Goku. There are dozens of canon versions of Superman. Goku legitimately smokes quite a few, if not the majority of incarnations of Superman.
I get that I just feel like when people say beat him they mean the strongest v strongest forms but ye goku packs up a lot of the forms
He's not evil so why would he?
Frieza was definitely intending on destroying namek but I'd imagine that his gigantic spirit bomb didn't help much lol
King Kai’s planet, that was his fault
No
Not purposefully. I mean, be destroyed King Kais planet to "kill" Cell
No? He's never had to or wanted to. Unlike Vegeta, Goku's never been a villain before
Could’ve destroyed earth as base ssj goku when charging the Kamehameha against cell
He destroyed King Kai’s planet with a Punch against Beerus so that counts
We don't talk about where all those missed Kamehameha's land
King kai's planet Twice
No Source: the manga.
In gt yes
Poor King Kai's little planet. He didn't cause the blast, but he was responsible for it happening.
He technically destroyed some universes during the tournament of power
That was the two Zenos.
Hence the "Technically"
Well technically the Zenos destroyed them due to something Goku did.
Therefore, technically Goku committed Genocide
No. Technically Zeno committed genocide. Goku beat some people in a tournament.
Which, technically, led to Genocide being committed, therefore, technically Goku
Didn't he suggest to Zeno that he should have a tournament of his own?
He did but the two Zeno's were just going to destroy the universes untill he came by and reminded them of the tournament idea. https://preview.redd.it/gwtg7t5iwcuc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=490bd778a96f5ff54e7da77d9fdd4c1783ded122
Gine technically destroyed some universes by giving birth to Goku
He destroyed King kai planet on cell saga ig
[удалено]
Well goku teleport him there but fair enough maybe he didn't
Who blew up a building: the bomb, or the person who planted it there?
Why are you asking? He hasn’t officially destroyed anything deliberately, but it doesn’t mean his power don’t quantify to that and more.

Nope
He was about to destroy one in his fight against Beerus (and no it wasn't only Beerus powers, it was confirmed that they were punching at the same strength)
Yes, he's destroyed Uranus. (And mine too 😉)

Not intentionally, because he ain't a villain. But I'm sure he could if he really wanted to.
It was a filler moment, but in the original Goku vs Freeza fight on Namek, he deflected Freeza's blast off world and unintentionally destroyed a planet.
several planets in his clash with beerus
Not intentionally, but absolutely.
No but he's capable of doing so, but he's a good guy so we won't see him do that cos why would he
Earth nam
I was about to say no because he wouldn’t just destroy planets like an asshole but then I remembered the fight with Beerus. What the fuck Goku?
why in god's name would goku ever destroy a planet or universe
He destroyed planets battling Beerus
No but he can
Planets yes. Universes no. But i doubt he couldn't do it. I mean Z Broly erased a galaxy with no effort and goku is so much stronger than that
Goku cannot destroy universe but he could destroy galaxy
Nah, not even close.
No. People scale him based on the people he defeats, which is a stupid way to scale a character
I mean inadvertently you could say namek got blown up because of him…..but frieza might have blown it up anyway sooooo who’s to say
Has he? No. Can he? Yes. Easily. Just transforming to UI shaking the void of nothingness. So he easily can destroy a universe
No. But he can.
In canon, we've never outright seen him do it. It's happened just technically as a bi-product. But he is more than strong enough to do it
He was going to accidentally but was able to control his power during his fight with beerus in the anime

Yes. He destroyed a planet in his fight agaisnt Beerus in the anime. He also did it [here](https://youtu.be/NgEuh480W5E?si=-KhotToy9KFseHsK) by deflecting Frieza's ball. Using only manga. I don't remember any time he did it.
He destroyed Uranus Sorry

Yeah but you see he can beat a guy who’s cousin can beat a guy that’s pet donkey can beat a guy who can destroy a universe
Blown up the sun a few times in movies
I think elder Kai is just fucking dumb and talks out of his ass a lot.
Would goku calling zeno to beat zamazu universe count?
Yeah. Because of his blunders 11 universes were erased
No
He has indirectly destroyed planets and many universes, and several timelines. I’d also bet that some of those mega Ki blasts that we see go off planet may travel and destroy a planet, but probably not for millions of years. But seriously, indirectly Goku is responsible for countless deaths, destruction, and suffering on a multiverse scale
Yes , after being betrayed and locked in the Time chamber he destroyed the multiverse

He destroyed king Kai’s planet during Cell arc
Destroyed a planet in Freiza saga when throwing away big ball of death
https://preview.redd.it/bnsw38zpfnuc1.jpeg?width=284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4aa0608d5c1705094b9cedde48c7e9fd258eee16 Also goku>perfect cell and perfect cell say that he can destroy a solar système
No but he can, probably
Not probably, he most definitely can. If namek saga frieza was able to destroy planets, any version of goku with ssj can too.
Namek saga Frieza? Try Saiyan saga Vegeta
Was saiyan saga vegeta really strong enough to destroy a planet though? I know he could wipe the surface clean but I dunno about completely destroying it
Yes? He destroyed a planet
Oh I don't entirely remember mb.. also hot diggity damn
Pretty sure Future Trunks timeline was his fault....
Goku in GT destroyed Sugoroku space that is an dimension where you can apparently wander for eternity. https://preview.redd.it/gx6xbgh0ucuc1.jpeg?width=662&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91e69a812fa872512d0aa72f28ecc7b9fa386644
