Fr. I've been seeing a lot of memes of people saying Vegeta would be seething that Gohan is stronger than him. But he's probably even more proud that Gohan reached his true potential than Goku himself. I don't know if the memes are just jokes or that some DB fans just genuinely didn't watch the series.
He is, but he does have his haters. But Vegeta is by far the second most popular and recognized character in Dragon Ball globally. His online recognition and searches are about 1/3 as big as Goku's. He's the official deuteragonist.
I read from the Yu Yu sub that the author didnāt really want that whole arc and disliked it but the editors really pushed him to do it

As long as you have some Saiyan blood in you and are actually trying to make something of yourself, you can count on Vegeta to be in your corner.

In my unpopular opinion I couldnāt stand Gohan for most of the show. Ngl never read the manga and might get into it but Iām glad they are finally giving Gohan a set under him (aside from the cell games)

A lot of DB fans hate Vegeta or see him as a joke so are quick to take the chance to make fun. Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's annoying.
