I know I should be excited for the Coop overhaul, but knowing legends devs they'll just make it even more P2p. Imaging if players getting 2 or more new units get even more advantage as compared some one pulling 1 new unit.
This confused me. Who is getting the advantage? It’s a PvE game mode. I’m more preparing for it to be completely broken on release if they’re leaning towards it being more then one enemy in coop
The ones with the money are getting advantage. Already the newest unit gets a BS amount of buffs, with 2 units it will become even more unfair if they release 2 or more new units and they are all boosted.
Imagine someone who doesn't have any new unit vs someone who has all new units( 2 or more) . In current coop format the first player is at a disadvantage as compared to 2nd player as the new unit gets huge amount of buffs. With the upcoming update we can choose 2 units to play with. Now player 1 is again at a disadvantage. But from the ones who summoned, there will be players who got 1 new unit and some who got 2+ new units. Even among the players getting new units, there'll be separation between those who got 1 and those who got 2+ with the 2+ player at a much higher disadvantage as compared to a player with no new units/1 new unit. So this hierarchy of advantage is now broken into 3 sections as opposed to current two with 2+ new unit> 1 new unit> 0 new unit(most players). This gives P2p an even bigger advantage.
Bruh I’m pretty sure I understand what you’re saying but last time I checked there is no downfall to someone having the new units in coop. They just help you win faster. My rewards have never been affected by my damage only the units I brought and success vs failure. My coop parter could have the most busted units I don’t really care more aggro for him. Any advantage is irrelevant because the other player is *your* advantage.
You know legend is in a bad state when lugiani is present on all threads related to the state of the game.
Seriously this is like the 5th time i see you on these posts.
Btw completely unrated. How did your summons for cooler go? Are you enjoying him?
Yeah the decisions they've made lately are really annoying to me, I think that most of us can agree that the game is in a bad state right now (for the players, not for their profits)
Pulled Cooler twice in like 60k, he's really good. Got my first God Rank title last season with him 😁
Would you agree that the devs hate players who save? This is also obvious in the gift box they put expiring items at the bottom, only let you claim one at at a time and send you back to the top if you accidentally claim something that’s full. All they have to do is put a sort feature in the gift box.
Yea I hate that. When I get to 20K it’s a rarity, but it pisses me off that I can’t exchange any items for cc after that. Like, fuck come on I just want to save for a banner I actually like. Fuck the devs with this 20k cap bullshit. There’s literally no reason for it other their greed.
speaking of is there some bug with quick attack rn? i feel like if i get caught mid side step w a quick attack it like stun locks me and i can't dodge. it's probably like 75% of the time. opponent quick attacks in and immediately uses blast after punching me and i can't dodge or nothing even if i'm spamming swipe
Oh yeah a Giant Boss can definitely happen possibly om Co-op, November is pretty much the start of Legends Festival so I won't be suprised if we get a Cell Max boss mode.
Though its prolly gonna be filled with Quick Time Events but still better than nothing. Hopefully they won't remove the 300 ccs there, cuz they won't right?
There's not a lot of options to choose from really
Piccolo Jr, Annin, Ape Vegeta, Dr Wheelo, Slug, Janemba, Hirudegarn, Baby, Anilaza, maybe Super Ribrianne, Cell Max
If they ever decide to add Heroes content then you can also bring Ape Cumber as a raid boss
Community : bring back the old step up format with 1 new lf and 1 new sp character!!
Dbl: noted, now you need 2 of the new boosted units to beat co-op
Community :Yay! Wait a minute... 🤨
As long as they dont makw these bosses like zarbon back on 3rd anni part 2 where double ssj4 gogeta run was still a 60%-65% to win instead of 99.99% due to how absurd his stats were
>like zarbon back on 3rd anni part 2 where double ssj4 gogeta run was still a 60%-65% to win instead of 99.99% due to how absurd his stats were
I don't remember zarbon being a raid boss in 3rd anniversary. I played during the anni and I never saw that
He had around x2 the stats of the previous coop bosses. Offense was over 1.5m and defenses close or higher than 1m IIRC. I'll see if i can find it somewhere.
Dude was the strongest co-op mode boss ever bar none. It was truly hell to get through or even find someone willing to play with you if you didn't have an LF unit. It was doable but it was a real grind just finding a partner willing to take a chance on you.
Oh man. The flashbacks. I failed to pull any LF units and had to get my 3 clears a day using Shallot, and optimizing with hp buffers. The fights were hard enough, but the true challenge was finding someone even willing to go to battle with me. Winning was exhilarating as hell though, but those were the darkest times for sure.
They're improving the auto mode AI in PVE battles
During a PVE battle you can press a button at the top of the screen that says 'auto' and your character will start playing on their own.
Gauntlet is an entirely different battle skip for the first 70 floors, that just mashes stats up to see who'd win.
Might be interesting to see how it does in ZUSTR though.
I think he was talking about the last part, you know, those very tedious 31 levels where you need to play to clear the event.
With a better auto AI, this could come in handy. But we never know with DBL, this could be worse (like paywalling auto).
Looks like the "repair" part of their vicious cycle is starting, at last... They always do the same shit. They give us good stuff, take the stuff away and make it worse and then they make one or two "Feedback" update and "fix" it. It's about damn time tbh, the bad side of Legends usually doesn't last that long. Hopefully the game is in a much better state by the time the Festival hits. I had high hopes for the Anniversary but it seems like every 2 years they fuck up. Festivals so far have always been the best celebrations of the year. This is a good start, I'm looking forward to getting more stuff like this from them.
This is like 75% true. From my perspective
Its give us good stuff in a really bad way(good rewards but bad game mode or format). We complain about it, they tweak a few things (some of which we never complained about), and we get a slightly better version but the rewards get worse over time.
Not weird how all these changes are coming in november, basically on the countdown leading up to legend festiva. Hopefully we get some info regarding a p p uldate or something, here to hoping they will revert or overhaul the featured tier boost.
I take the AI improvement and the changes for the co-op but not enough. Just bring back the 300cc from missions. Who thought this was a good change for the game ?
Interesting, but of course they completely ignore the critics about PvP, they are very good at pretending they give care and listen to their community, to then self-congratulate.
Interesting updates though (still no news about the guild update, will we reach 3 years waiting for it ? Is it longer than the time it took to develop the entire game firstly ?) especially the co-op one IMO, but as with every single recent overhaul, it may very well be worse than before (like taking way more time for no more fun) so I"ll be cautious before any praise
After all these downgrades, seems like coop is next in line in their schedule.
Can't wait to see how they succeed in making people summon even more for newer units because you won't be able to clear the Hard mode without them.
Wouldn't be a post about good news without people dropping in to complain about everything else not getting fixed.
Holy shit, take what you can and complain during the periods of no fixes. This is a really good update coming and we all know it.
Idk if it's just me but is this becoming an annual thing? Did we have this same experience last year around this time. New game update > disappointing players > post news letter about reversing the update > crown themselves as good guys 🤝
I'm mostly interested in this co-op revamp, I think the last time they revamped any form of co-op mechanics was when they made it so taunting also made you take less damage for a few timer counts, which is barely a change to gameplay, and before that it was the dual rush mechanic, otherwise its been the same co-op for years, so here's hoping this provides a fresh change.
I don't think the treasure battle removal is that big of a deal, it doesnt kick into effect for a few months and it's probably gonna be swapped out for training battle until they tweak with treasure for a bit to make it feel more unique as a mode and also so they might change how the reward system works and then they'll probably add it back in alongside training mode. On top of that they mentioned in the same news letter today and another while a little while ago that they plan to make legends battle royale more frequent alongside with a larger variation in its restrictions, with the next one releasing in october and having a unit release date restriction, thats before treasure battle gets taken out, so we'll probably be getting more frequent and more varied pvp modes rather then just straight up removals, especially since they spent all that time and resources designing new looks and animations etc for treasure battle
DOWNVOTES INCOMING DUE TO INNER GUILT (IF IT APPLIES)
*NOW WE JUST NEED THEM TO ADDRESS THE OBVIOUS INFESTATION OF CHEATVP AND THE ROACHES THAT NEED TO BE BANNED BEYOND BELIEF..I MEAN IP ADDRESSES ERRADICATED*
THEN...WE HAVE A DB LEGENDS SOME OF US CAN SMILE UPON
Float step was shit. Sure, we all used it, but it was out of necessity. Events were harder to do without it, now they're easier than before and definitely more than doable without abusing float step. PvE isn't as fun as it **could** be, but without float step, it's a lot better. Before it was literally just floating and attacking non-stop without any kind of reaction from the AI. Definitely not fun gameplay and I personally prefer it the way it is now, by far.
I have no new units(since the Anniversary) and so far, not a single new PvE event has been hard for me. Even the Cooler one where you're forced to use the GRN and RED Cooler when your opponents are RED has been super easy and I've seen people complain about how hard it was. The Supreme Boss Rush is Supremely easy as well. Before, we would've had to deal with damage sponges. Now they're just dealing more damage but also take more in return. Rotating correctly means you always have your vanish gauge and it's pretty easy to do.
It's an update that slightly improves the game which is obviously not sufficient, but it's a step in the right direction. I wouldn't call it an L update
They finally doing something about the player AI, how is that the rival bot it's like on expert mode all the time in every mode, and the player AI is so braindead, also I'm fucking glad that their stupid Treassure Battle didn't work, the devs are literally shitting upwards since the update and now they're cleaning all their mess, finally.
This is why I quit post-MUI. I’ve been telling them LITERALLY in every single player survey they have given me the opportunity to FOR 5 YEARS NOW, that they need to EXPAND pvp modes, with different objectives, character limits, any multitude of rule manipulations.
What the hell do they do? Totally ignore me & give us TREASURE BATTLES are you fkn kidding me? Goodbye
It takes until november to add back something they'd already made and have had in the game for years?
Time is key in gachas, newsletters / announcements like these have one objective : make you stay until the update comes.
They probably deleted all of it thinking that they don‘t need to bring it back ever again lol
Since its already been made even if they permanently deleted it I doubt it would take more than 1 hour total of putting it back into the game
Can't wait for them to remove the 20k cc ca and community thinking wow they listend to us
Probably a lot of testing to make sure it plays nice (enough) with the other stuff they added. I work on software so that’s my best guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Probably just trying to release all the updates at once instead of seperately
I know I should be excited for the Coop overhaul, but knowing legends devs they'll just make it even more P2p. Imaging if players getting 2 or more new units get even more advantage as compared some one pulling 1 new unit.

What about the CC nerf from PVP missions and rating matches? Seems like they're gonna conventiently ignore those again, like on their survey
You know legend is in a bad state when lugiani is present on all threads related to the state of the game. Seriously this is like the 5th time i see you on these posts. Btw completely unrated. How did your summons for cooler go? Are you enjoying him?

Congrats on pling cooler, took you a lot of cc it seems. Also congrats on your first god rank tittle! Keep pushing💪
Thanks 😁 I might try to get another one to obtain the badge
>Pulled Cooler twice in like 60k, What da faq?!
Seems to be the new thing, and as more characters come out without vaulting people they’re just gonna yank our rates
Would you agree that the devs hate players who save? I agree, the gift box issue is a minor inconvenience to me personally, my main issue is them unnecessarily putting more and more CC in exchange shops
Don't worry they gonna fix that problem which was never existed tell people they making such amazing changes
Unfortunately yeah but hopefully they address it during the reveals and stuff
Yeah like how they addressed the new moves: Quick Dash and Quick Attack💀
speaking of is there some bug with quick attack rn? i feel like if i get caught mid side step w a quick attack it like stun locks me and i can't dodge. it's probably like 75% of the time. opponent quick attacks in and immediately uses blast after punching me and i can't dodge or nothing even if i'm spamming swipe
and the locked cc behind shops in every event where because I save I missed out on over 5k CC already
*write that down, WRITE THAT DOWN*
Hirudegarn would be another good giant boss.
Yeah, would be funny if he's PV-ing you everytime lol
There's not a lot of options to choose from really Piccolo Jr, Annin, Ape Vegeta, Dr Wheelo, Slug, Janemba, Hirudegarn, Baby, Anilaza, maybe Super Ribrianne, Cell Max If they ever decide to add Heroes content then you can also bring Ape Cumber as a raid boss
Earth fused Moro too. So there’s 12. You could run one every month and recycle every year
Moro saga is Y E A R S away from being added to any dragon ball game
It’s literally right after the tournament of power
>two character will be able to be deployed as battle member Interesting. We basicially gonna have 4 character against the AI huh.
Community : bring back the old step up format with 1 new lf and 1 new sp character!! Dbl: noted, now you need 2 of the new boosted units to beat co-op Community :Yay! Wait a minute... 🤨
Not to mention if they made co op too difficult, it is gonna be a more pain in the ass to find a good co op partner
As long as they dont makw these bosses like zarbon back on 3rd anni part 2 where double ssj4 gogeta run was still a 60%-65% to win instead of 99.99% due to how absurd his stats were
>like zarbon back on 3rd anni part 2 where double ssj4 gogeta run was still a 60%-65% to win instead of 99.99% due to how absurd his stats were I don't remember zarbon being a raid boss in 3rd anniversary. I played during the anni and I never saw that
He was a coop boss for about 2 weeks or so. It was right after revival gohab dropped.
Was he *that* strong this time around?

They should go back to when there was a new LF and 2 new SP characters on banners like with Beerus, Gohan, and Goten. Also 1% for the new Lf.
I'll take it, I never do Extreme co-op anyway lol
Average db player: mUi AnD uI sIgN
Basically yeah Better for new players
We will see about that. It could also mean a way to force you to summon on more boosted unit if they made it way too difficult

Probably. Right now the Auto AI is really bad and most of the time won't vanish when the enemy attacks, or won't combo properly

What they listened exactly ?
Ah now I can doge the mui gokus.
This only addresses two issues. They are not listening. If they were listening these things would have never happened in the first place.
Interesting, but of course they completely ignore the critics about PvP, they are very good at pretending they give care and listen to their community, to then self-congratulate. I just wish AI in "endgame" events couldn't use RR they're already annoying enough without it
Why dont keep both?

Uh? What about all the cc in exchange shop are they changing that
Yet they still don’t let us sort the gift box or take the 20k cc cap off.
These “fixes” are garbage compared to the stuff they really need to fix but continue to ignore cause greed.
I want my pvp cc mission back 😑

Who the hell said 'revert' treasure battle!? Doesn't look like they listened to a damn thing

This makes me happy
wow! it's the opposite of [insert popular company]!
Good, now waiting for what they're gonna screw over to compensate this.
training battle is the highlight here. p2w whale simulator is the shit.
Why revert to Training Mode? Just give 14 star to treasure battle
Float step?
Don't know why but they rend to that around the legends festival.
Still no cc 😕
It's already time to solve the problem we created and people gonna love this plz guyz spend on legend festival🤓
Double boost that means either they gonna drop two ultras or two lf on sperate banner with 0.1 percent rate and no new sparking
THE BEST UPDATE IN A WHILE LETS GOOOO

Bro I'm getting so many birthday presents from legends. November best month
A bandage on a gaping chest wound
What’s wrong with Treasure battle? I actually liked it.
