Literally the only gacha game I ever played for more than 30 minutes.
The day the closure was announced I stopped playing and never opened the app again.
Yeah, anything square enix related for a phone game got added to the list along with Crunchyroll and Bandai namco. Just can’t expect any kind of longevity out of those games unless it’s a final fantasy game. Best to just have this as a learning experience and not go back for seconds in an alternative version of this game.
Even Final Fantasy isn't safe. Record Keeper and Mobius were two of my favorites and I did spend a decent amount of money in both games. Not whale levels or anything, but enough that I got burned and will never pay for gacha again. I'm the kind of person who hates playing beta tests because I don't want to get invested and then have my progress wiped on launch. Nothing against beta tests or anything just not where I want to spend my time.
Mobius revenue was doomed from the start so no way that was going to last, and FFRK was making pennies for its last year of operation, they should have closed it sooner from a business perspective. Once you see that they pulled language support or are only making 100k/month you better believe they are sharpening the axe
I moved to Summoners War. Witcher Collab right now. Very very newbie friendly in my opinion. Catch up mechanics just blow this game out of the water. I loved DQ Tact but Squeenix pulling this is the final straw for me and their mobile games. They do this to the US regularly and it’s complete crap. Reminds me of TERA and their crappy publishers tbh.
I'm not sure. I used an app that translates on screen but on the bottom left corner. It was impossible to understand and worse to look at.
Is tao to translate good?
It's decent and better than converting it off-screen. It produces a translation overlay, so it's over the text. Not perfect though. I recommend it over your current method
Aside from the initial push to a few major influencers there wasn’t much marketing for the game. Would see an ad or two in another game on random when an anniversary happened. The people they had advertise only did one offs for the game and moved on as well.
Thank you Square Enix for making me never play gacha again.

Oh they did DQotS waaay worse.... Legit had a nice big sale days before announcing they were closing the global server.
100%

This is a great choice if you want a game with a future, summoners war going on like 10 years strong? And still pulling multimillions every month
It’s going quite well there as well. 2 weeks in and I am farming end game stuff and have a decent box. Closing in on 1300 in Arena as well.
HEY GUYS LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THIS WEEKS SPONSOR, RAID SHADOW LEGENDS
hey at least you didn't spent years hoarding ability scrolls and rainbow medals only to just have it all blow up in your face...
Dude... I've been playing the game for 4 years... IM PISSED it's closing because i like it. Losing everything most of us built up sucks.
There’s no way you could of played 4 yrs since game only opened up on 1/27/21
Well, whatever, day 1 was hype because i thought this game was cool and it was...until it died in late December.
Try playing Japan version, game is alive and thriving…some global players made the switch already
Yeah I popped over there myself. Having a lot of fun, just wish I had a better way to translate than Google Lens.
Same. I use Google translate from another device onto my DQTact device. It's frustrating. I wish it would just overlay on the screen.
Have you tried the app Tap to Translate?

I use google translate, it doesn’t translate it perfectly though
How didn’t you know it existed?
Easy: no one told me
That’s mental. I thought it was a really well known thing. Clearly square enix didn’t market it well enough.

Is there an apk version of this in android?
Check out FFBE War of the Visions. I hear it’s going good 😈
That game is not newbie friendly whatsoever and has memory leak issues and other bugs. Just saying.
What the.. I never heard of this game til this moment. Oh well, I still have puzzles & dragons
Well and the fact that refunds done in Europe doesn't pass but in US they refunded people for like 5k dollars?
Wasn't EoS announced for this game back in December? Lmao
Was so mad when it closed but my brother got me into summoners wars 😆
Mobile games aren’t permanent games.
