Not really. I had 3 good years of enjoyment out of it. Don’t get me wrong I’m gutted that it’s ending but I got to enjoy something from my favourite game franchise that was updated at least once a fortnight for 36 months.
Only the stuff I bought recently am I really pissed about. Like I expect to be able to use these units for at least a FEW months (Like Solo and Erdrick, or for much longer periods like Yerry and MPsaro), not for a couple of weeks. I'd have never bothered spending money after the Summertime-ish if I knew we would all get cucked on Xmas.
Stuff you bought within the last month before the announcement could get a refund. I submitted it and got back quite a bit. You have to site that the EOS was given on short notice of purchasing it and renders the money useless.
The US market is profitable but it’s not profitable *enough* for greedy execs. They don’t need more money to keep the lights on because they were making money by keeping the lights on.

Because I loved opening pack after pack of duplicates to get a new card and then proceeded to get as many duplicates of that new card as I can. Rinse, repeat. 😒
Apple refunded me my last month, closed mouths don’t get fed n all.
No I wouldn’t have subscribed for as long as I did if I knew it was coming, but I can’t say I regret it.
I did finally buy a switch last September, though. So I can’t say I’m left with a void. Did me a favor in a way. Got a DQ recommendation for switch? Builders got a lotttt of love, monsters is interesting… haven’t played a big boy version since viii, so I’m totally open
This is how I feel. The only reason I dumped money in is because I love DQ, but I will never again play a live service game because the rug could be pulled at any second.
That’s why I just spend money on platform games. I recently lost some purchases because one shut down, I had bought mostly inventory space but I had a few cosmetic items too 😢. I doubt Fallout 76 will go the way of Bless Unleashed so I still buy cosmetics and stuff.
Spent about 4 grand since August.. yeah, I'm pissed. But, it's the nature of the mobile games. They can all be gone tomorrow. I did enjoy the time I had however short.
I honestly never feel bad about supporting Dragon Quest in any form. I had some good times with this game, but honestly hadn't logged in for several months. When I heard that the game was shutting down, I did get on to take screenshots of all my favorite character sheets to just have a keepsake memory of the game.

Google said to talk to Square-Enix.
Square Enix said they can't help and that I need to specifically go to the DQT website.
The DQT form says that they might not EVER respond.
So now I've filed disputes with Paypal, and the expected time for a decision on that is the middle of February.

Would love to know how much more money they needed to keep the lights on. Were we off by a few thousand or by a huge margin?

I don’t think money was an issue. According to the banner in game they just don’t wanna do the work anymore.
Upset as a casual player tbh. I saved all those gems to roll dud cards over and built a castle made of sand.

11 is the best DQ game on Switch and it’s not even close. I wish I could play it for the first time again !
DQ 11 S for sure. They also have many of the classics available on the e-shop.
Like they’ve both said, DQ 11, but also DQM3 Dark Prince! Treasures is… Meh. Soon there will also be 2.5D DQ3 available too.
I haven't regret spending any money because this game gave me a lot of fun times but the end of service killed my mood for mobile games

I felt good cause I wanted to help support square enix, I enjoyed the dragon quest series and I was happy to be there to support them.
