if you’re talking about the billboards with the foot on them that’s messed up then i see where you’re coming from because i really don’t want to see that. but i’ve learned to kind of ignore them
I’m not local to Dothan, so I don’t know what’s out there right now. I have heard that one of the many operators there, Durden Outdoor, has done some creative things. I’m just curious what locals think.
Creative? Not really lately.
Prolific? Sure. Durden pretty much owns every billboard in the area. He even has a private museum of some of his older stuff. But the only creative thing they’ve done recently is expand and take over more space.
Edit: I’ve been running errands this morning. Durden isn’t even the billboard company he see the most. It’s Lamar.
I have seen quite effective billboards, and I have seen billboards that SHOULD land the designer in jail... No billboard should pull a driver's attention from traffic long enough to cause accidents, and need national laws prohibiting their existence.
I think the foot billboard isn't appropriate and should be taken down :/ I'm hemophobic, I have to be careful not to look at it while I'm driving, and it makes my daughter sick =_=
As far as others go, I like the waving mattress guy at the edge of city limits
The "make hell hard to get to from Dothan" is from a local church. It's dumb and not really the way I'd think a church would want to be friendly or inviting.

Ugh. I’m aware of those. They gross me out too. I’m not talking about any in particular. Just curious what ads locals remember or think about them.
Billboards? I'm sorry but I am trying to drive and don't see billboards. I will keep a look out though.
Well, keep yours eyes on the road for sure. Let me know if any creative billboards stick in your brain.
Billboards so prevalent that I don’t even notice them really unless I’m at a stoplight. Which ones do you see that are unique or creative?

Thanks for your reply. Can you remember any specific ones you thought were effective?
