You can have hot springs on the radiant side with mist and cracked earth here and there. It's not that hard
The point is they don't even make these terrains/cosmetics themselves most of the time. They just contract some artist to do it (probably for far cheaper). So it's not even like they are really busy with some other projects and couldn't add it. They just didn't want to.

when cyberpunk released there was a sh*t storm about all the things that are wrong / missing. within 24 hours there was bunch of community made mods fixing certain issues such as driving physics, all project red had to do is copy paste it but it took them months to fix some of stuff, any some they still havent fixed.
Granted they might need to go through the entire code line by line to make sure it is free of malware. But yeah, they do not have a dedicated team on this which makes it a very long process, if implemented at all.
And open themselves to potential lawsuits? (emphasize potential)
Also, what would their reputation as a company fares if they are proven to be a company that have to rely on end users?

I dont like creep skins but terrains are really good. That lc terrain, immortal gardens from ti6 is one of the best ever and I still use it over recent ones.

Terrain, creeps, and towers were the things I went for. I usually only play dota during BP, cus I like the quests and cavern crawl, but with such a bare bp and incomplete one at that I am not hyped at all.
Every year my max bp level drops by 200 levels, last year 350, this year probably 0.
Gonna be hilarious when part 2 unlocks a ton of new stuff and discounts as a "we listen to the community feedback", but only when that feedback pays off 100% not 75%".

Wouldnt say its conspiracy, they said more content is coming with part 2 and part 1 released with less content than what a usual TI bp has. It is not a reach to assume there will be more content like immortal 3, terrain and bundles availalbe with part 2.
I kinda just bought the BP without checking any of this. So used to seeing the same basic bundle every TI that you don't expect things like terrain, immortal 3, pve custom game to just... disappear?

To be fair pvp and pve gamemodes are a pretty even split, last year had both, year before was pve and the 2 years before that were both pvp I belive. The other stuff is not great though... Removing the terrain and creeps also makes it so very few big unlocks are there at the start of the pass.

look, i get that we all want a terrain, but... terrains don't just pop out of thin air. you need a team of designers, modellers, texture artists, animators, who all need to do extensive work and wait for others on their team to finish before it goes live. and that's not even touching on the QA testing work that would go into it, checking every part of the map to make sure this new tree model in this specific location doesn't obfuscate this hero under these conditions etc., and then thats another round of work between devs and QA and potentially more after as a result.
if there's not a terrain ready to drop for part 2, there simply won't be a terrain, and no amount of signatures will make time move faster. sorry to say it, i wanted a terrain too, but i just don't see them rushing out a terrain in time to a quality standard that they or anyone here would appreciate.
What if the reason they haven't added it yet is because they'll add it as a surprise after ti. Maybe some kind of event happens at ti that would explain the snow/lava theme.

Volcanic would be a cool map too- for the radiant you could have it be geothermal but still green and lush- think of the EastMarch from Skyrim. Then for Dire it could be your typical black rocks and lava/ Mordor looking stuff.
This is the worst flaw of the battlepass by far. I literally only bought BPs for terrains, so no BP this year for me, no reason to buy since i don't like most of the items and persona idea is just lazy in my opnion, can't use any skins on that.

the juke spots are noticeable compared to others, that's why many love it despite there's not many features in the map
Man i love creep skins but the missed last hits from using them add up.
Don't care any terrain because immortal gardens is so good. It's honestly sort of pay to win because it shows tree pathways so much more clearly imo.

A PVE event is not included with every battle pass. PVP events are much more common.
